  1. I should explain the loud PC thing. My CPU fan is currently extremely loud, it's the stock AMD one, and I've not got around to changing it out yet. So there's that. Throw in the fact that we've got laminate flooring throughout the house, which makes my bastard of a desk chair rumble whenever it's pushed along it, the already mentioned keyboard and the position of my bedroom (shares a wall with the parents), it's not really a viable time for me to game on my PC. I've got PS4, but Sony forgot how to make games and nothing Nintendo has put out in the last year has interested me in the slightest.
  2. I got the option, but for some reason I figured I'd get another chance to tell her, so I opted for the second, less sappy conversation option and she basically said it was a mistake (IIRC) that we should forget about. I've not seen her since. If I'm still a ways off I'll slow myself down then; enjoy the experience even more than I already have. Going to grab the rest of the Feline gear and finish off some more Witcher quests.
  3. Looking for a flat of my own but they're all around £450 a month. This is for a fairly basic studio flat. It's downright criminal how much they're allowed to charge; I could get a 3 bedroom semi-detached for £100 more a month.
  4. Yup, the expansion stuff was what I was talking about, I've been grabbing the weekly DLC as and when it's available. As for Triss, she got on the boat and I never saw her again. I believe I told Dijkstra I wasn't in the mood for one of his stories right now. If I could redo one moment from this game It'd be that one. @deanb - yup, Isle of Mist. I was under the impression I'll be watching a cutscene, and then heading back to Kaer Morhen (whatever), is that not the case? I'm really bummed about fluffing my lines with Triss. [emoji20]
  5. Bummed. Triss sailed off, and I decided if I couldn't have her, I didn't want Yen either. So now my Geralt is going to prawl the lands aimlessly having casual sex with whomever he pleases whilst secretly wishing Triss will come back one day to give him the love he craves. Anyway's, I think I'm about as close to finishing the game as I can be without starting the final push. I've got one main quest left 'get on boat'. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the adventure to end yet, or if I'm in need of a break. I worry that after completing the game I'll lose all interest in the world and thus, become unable to finish off some of the side quests. When does the DLC hit?
  6. We've played a little bit of Portal 2 Co-Op, and talked about playing some COD Zombies, however she's not as...(this is gonna sound awful) skilled as me, and thus it becomes a tiny bit frustrating for more fast paced games. Wouldn't mind going through Game of Thrones with her, but I'm not sure she's that interested. As for sleep, I work nights. I'd rather not fuck my sleep up any more than it already is. I'm back at the parent's house at the moment. Hopefully when I've got my own place I'll be more willing to pull the occasional late night. I'm very aware that my PC is loud and my keyboard isn't mechanical; I'd wake them up. I don't need that on my concious along with the feelings that come along with moving back into the parents place.
  7. I had massive problems after the big event in the middle of the film.

lol. Being allowed to possess a machine that accelerates small pieces of metal to lethal velocities =/= the freedom to express your thoughts without fear of government persecution.

Also worth noting that Daniel didn't say "ban guns" might have meant "about the whole guns thing, stop using them to kill people k?"

  10. I've been seeing this girl for around 7 months now, and things are going wonderfully. We recently spent the entire week together at my place, and it went without a hitch; great times were head. However (yeah), I noticed my gaming time has drastically shrunk in the 7 months we have been together. For the most part I consider this a 'New Relationship' thing; something that will inevitably fix itself in the coming months as we settle in to our roles in said relationship. Despite enjoying the fuck out of the time we spend together, and despite the fact that she's a keen gamer herself, I find myself missing the days where I could spend 7-8 hours of my day off playing games. The Witcher 3 being a prime example. Games been out over a month and I've only once managed to dedicate more than 4 hours to it. So I guess the question I'm asking is, How do you guys manage your time between your hobbies and your socially responsible, working lives?
  11. Most of the above list was picked up on GOG actually. They had some pretty nice deals on games, whereas Steam's offerings seemed to be a tad weaker. Although I might have already exhausted their catalogue of interesting titles.
  12. CM hasn't exactly come out of this last year looking great. They've mad amateur looking moves at every turn, their CEO looks like a complete asshole and they've pissed off half their userbase. I for one can't wait to see what One Plus does with the second phone, and more specifically OxygenOS.
  13. It'll take me a week to find the right images for this, so I'll present to you a handle list of my recent purchases. Ahem. Not sure if my wallet or my download speed took a bigger hit. Goodbye Netflix for a few weeks I guess. Hitman Sniper (iOS) - Not a good game A Story About My Uncle Tropico Hatoful Boyfriend Among The Sleep Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series Humble Borderlands Bundle Massive Chalice Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 Outlast Tropico 2 Her Story The Marvellous Miss Take The Witcher 3 I think that's everything. Currently playing Witcher 3; probably at about 45 hours at this point. I've bolded those I'm most excited about.
  14. Two this week. Firstly Calvary. Brendan Gleeson knocks it out of the park once again. A fantastically dark tale about an Irish priest who is told he'll be murdered by one of his parishioners on the coming Sunday. Second viewing for me, and I think all the better for it. Secondly, Kingsmen. Words cannot describe my love for this movie.
  15. Ever looked at the G4? LG has been making some real nice phones in recent years, and the G4 seems to be improving on the already very well received G3. If you can hold out, One+ are announcing their new handset in about a month; that might be worth your attention. I've been using their original phone for almost 10 months now, and I think its fantastic.
  16. The do a fantastic job of making the game world feel real. Spilled coffee cups, flickering monitors and the like. As for the way the map is laid out, I grew tired of going from one corner of it, only to be told I had to then go all the way back across.
  17. I'll take a look. Can't imagine it'll be long before they throw the season pass on for 75% off or something, especially with the new season around the corner.
  18. Kinda tempted to have a look at this. How different is it to to Wolf/TWD? I'm growing somewhat tired of the Telltale format, although I'm in love with Thrones. I assume it's set in the world of the show and not the book?
  19. Just finished it myself. Without giving too much away I enjoyed it. I'm not massively in love with some of the more adventure-y stuff they make you do, but the story is pretty engrossing, and as ever, it looks fantastic.
  20. I like to spend my Wednesday evenings working out what to play before giving up and wasting 2 hours losing on NHL15.

You were losing the second you bought that pile of a game.

You aren't wrong. I just needed a fix though; shame its such a fucked up turd of a game.

  21. That sounds absolutely terrible. Why wouldn't they just make it a behind the scenes documentary? I'd be much more interested in that.
  22. Anyone grabbing Cities: Skylines today?

I'm on the fence. I've wanted to try getting into the city-builder genre for a while and after SimCity 2013 turning out the way it did, I'm glad there's finally a viable alternative. But I don't exactly need an extra game on my plate atm.

With how things look right now, this game is reminding me of how Banished turned out. It'll have a good lifespan with plenty of mods for stuff that the devs themselves can't do.

      Mod support is fun!!

  23. The Order: 1886 Borrowed it off of my brother who said 'Yeah, it's okay I guess', so I was hardly expecting greatness here. The game play itself is a little..tedious. I'm currently working my way through a perticularly frustrating stealth section with an all-or-nothing QTE mechanic which is utterly baffling to me. The gun-play is boring, and the weapons forgetful. Story is interesting, although it could use some padding out, and the game looks and sounds incredible; probably the best looking game I've ever played. Sometimes I'll put my controller down and spend 5 seconds working out if I'm watching a cut-scene or if I need to continue playing; it's that good. So yeah...it's okay.
