  1. We still need a few more bodies for our FF League. PM me your email address and I'll send you an invite.

  2. Screw that join our league. ESPN is way better.
  3. In defense of Joystiq writing "Do you still find it difficult to reconcile the critically adored, Western-developed Deus Ex: Human Revolution with the Square Enix logo on the game's packaging? You'll get over it in the coming years,"

"That character talks cockney, it's racist to English" Dumbest shit ever.

  4. I guess I just have the musical definition firmly locked in my head so I tend to think anything from over a decade ago. Technically 90's music is considered Retro right now. I think this means that SNES and N64 gens are retro and older than that fits into "classic" or "oldies".
  5. I'm still slowly working my way through The Last Wish. It's great though.
  6. Yeah, the price war is mostly going to effect the retailers. The cost to the retailers will remain constant. Generally during a price war you're fighting for the future at a short term loss and it can be very damaging to retailers if it carries on too long. The result you don't want is for a bigger company to use it's deeper pockets to crush competition into bankruptcy. There's a lot of antitrust laws in the US about it and I'm sure there are similar laws in the UK. Specifically you trigger a lot of laws when you sell things for a loss. I know there's a lot of publisher rules too that retailers have to follow in the US. It's the reason why you get the "price too low to show, see in cart". It's also the reason why you'll see amazon doing gift cards instead of just straight up discounting the games. Publishers don't really want there to be a war for the price over the game because it impacts your total sales. If you can get it cheaper somewhere else then you're not going to buy it at the more expensive places so potentially you have copies that aren't going to move. I haven't been noticing a price war in the US though.
  7. We need some more takers here. Invite your friends!
  8. Yeah, I need a new workout routine so I was wondering what you guys do. Maybe we can all swap routines.
  9. Well, the nice thing about most paid gyms is there is so much freaking equipment you can always find one to use, at least at the LA Fitness I go to. What workouts do you people do? What has worked for you? I've been trying the 30 minutes of weight training followed by 30 minutes of cardio about 3-4 times per week. I do one muscle group per day so it's either back and biceps, chest and triceps, legs or core and then I either run or do the elliptical machine. This is supposed to work but I feel like I'm not making a ton of progress lately.
  10. I bought it for Oblivion, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Perfect Dark Zero (got great reviews for some reason), Need for Speed Most Wanted, Fight Night 3 and others. There were a ton of great games within the first year.
  11. Great games do sell systems. I bought an Xbox 360 because of all the great games right after launch.
  12. I've been going to the gym steady for a year. I feel like I'm not really getting sexier yet though... We should start a virtual XP system for going to the gym.
  13. Reviews for Bodycount are predicatbly bad. Am I the only one depressed there will never be a Black 2?

Nah. I, too, enjoyed Black. I've yet to play anything like it ever since. I really dug how the dust blocked your view and forced you to fire blindly most of the time. Made for a different kind of shooter.

Not too surprised about Bodycount, though. It's rarely a good sign when the game's creator leaves the team halfway through development...

No, you're definitely not. Bodycount didn't look appealing to me; as I watched my brother play the demo of it, I just said, "Why couldn't they have just made a Black 2?" I REALLY want a Black 2. I still love Black. I still want there to be two more games like there was supposed to be. It really sucks that much more now that I've thought about it. :(

  14. Picked this up from Target on my lunch break. Was on clearance for $18. I'm such a sucker.
  15. okay, I created a league, just send me a PM with your email and I'll invite.
  16. I just object to collecting data not pertaining directly to origin. If they only collected data from what I'm doing on Origin I'd be okay with that. Valve also does voluntary hardware surveys which I'd be fine with too. I don't want Origin collecting what games I'm playing on steam and such.
  17. Anybody interested? I'd be happy to set up a league if yes.
  18. I wonder if Zelda games are as good to newcomers as they are to fans. Let us know how you like it.
  19. I thought he'd have rewarded you with some chicken.
  20. Oh, I thought you wanted me to drug my wife. Ironically after all that the doctor told her to take unisom so now I've got the medical community in cahoots with me. Woot. I am really tempted to order that Zelda collection.....
  21. I believe you're correct that new coke was not an intentional flub but that's not to say that other people wont follow the whole process to boost numbers on a classic product.
