  1. Man that was pretty awful. A low point in online gaming to be sure. Aditionally I'd like to just lump in any FF weapon that isn't a sword or a gun. Quoting from the console RPG cliche list. "MacGyver Rule Other than for the protagonists, your choice of weapons is not limited to the prosaic guns, clubs, or swords. Given appropriate skills, you can cut a bloody swath across the continent using gloves, combs, umbrellas, megaphones, dictionaries, sketching tablets -- you name it, you can kill with it. Even better, no matter how surreal your choice of armament, every store you pass will just happen to stock an even better model of it for a very reasonable price. Who else is running around the world killing people with an umbrella?"
  2. In 3rd Person you're biggest struggle is probably gonna be the camera. If you don't have a good camera system then you've got nothing. If it's a shooter then you can usually do an over the shoulder view but if it's a hack 'n slash or platformer then there's more work involved from what I understand.
  3. Anyone remember how the whole Madden NFL exclusivity rights came about? 2K sports started releasing their game at $20 brand new to draw fans away from Madden and it got better reviews than Madden so what did EA do? They locked up the rights to the NFL and killed NFL2K. As far as casual games go, I don't think they are even the same market. It's like calling TV and Movies the same market. They're both motion pictures technically but they serve two completely different purposes and many people who are playing casual games never play AAA videogames and vice versa. I don't think one is directly impacting the other.
  4. Useless and lazy /= terrible parent? You've gotta do what, beat your kids to be horrible?
  5. Resources weren't limited, you can pick up guns off any body or return to your hideout for unlimited ammo. You can also attack camps and for ammo of whatever type you needed.
  6. I remember Time Killers being the most violent of the MK era. I don't know of any fighting games now where you just lose limbs whilly nilly and where you can get decapitated mid round and lose instantly at any point. Oh, and if you lost an arm you could hit the button for that arm and shoot blood at your opponent. That's good gaming right there.
  7. Also, everything on XBL is points based. How did the kid buy all the points and then spend points and then buy more points not realizing it cost money?
  8. Far Cry 2 tip: stay off the roads and buy the manuals for the jeeps and they last a lot longer. I loved Far Cry 2.
  9. This whole story is a giant lol. First, they're playing their tiny violin at the beginning with the single mom who's being abused by evil Bill gates. Then you've got the fact that he probably racked up the bill over a long period of time. Mom never checked her bank account and noticed that her monies were disappearing? It was a debit card to so the money was coming out of a checking account. Mom doesn't have much money but she doesn't notice that £1000 is missing? Also, the kid is 11. If he doesn't know about money it's because he has a learning disability or because his mother is a crap parent. I knew the value of money at 5 and had to save it all up to buy my games. The other indication that you've got a crap parent on the loose is the fact that she runs to the newspapers to sing her sad song. Also, it's super easy to remove your card. I just went to xbox.com and deleted it from my account.
  10. I just sent out a bunch of friend invites so accept them. If you didn't get one then send me one at Yantelope0
  11. haha, yes, the real blizzard. My expectations for MoH are low so hopefully I'll be able to enjoy it.
  12. I ordered Medal of Honor a week ago and it still hasn't come. Stupid blizzard.
  13. I remember when Fighters Megamix was the fighting game. It was kinda like what MVC3 is trying to be now.
  14. I really enjoyed RED as well. I was surprised too because the trailers for it looked like crap. Good movie.
  15. I thought the beta was just over the weekend? I played against some bots briefly but would like to play again. I found it pretty enjoyable and I really liked how the objectives were constantly changing mid game. I still need to add most of you on my friends list.
  16. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-super-bowl-commercials/09000d5d81e2b035/Cram-it-in-the-Boot I had to explain to some friends last night that boot = trunk.
  17. http://dealnews.com/Railworks-DLC-Complete-Pack-for-PC-downloads-for-200/433088.html "That's $873 off and the lowest price we've seen. It includes the Railworks 2 Train Simulator plus 66 add-ons." I'm not entirely sure what the appeal of spending $200 on a train simulator is. Maybe someone here can explain it to me.
  18. I'm confused as to why $200 for a Train SImulator is a good deal

Becuase it'd cost more than that to make a train set. I had this talk with my Step-dad one day. Showed him Railworks since his dad is a model railway kind of guy. Cos isn't just in the trains n track but the fact you lose a room in the house too.

So it's not just driving the trains, you get to create worlds like you would creating a model train set?

      I guess so...

  19. Yeah, it's not the races that bother me it's just the unforgiving nature or races in certain games. I mean, really that's just the main complaint in general: "Missions that last 10 minutes which are completely unforgiving and unskippable". The original Driver comes to mind where you had a car filled with explosives and had to drive all the way across town while being chased by cops and if you hit anything you exploded. That freaking sucked.
  20. Yes, for added hilarity you can tell people "Just remember, we can't spell sucker without U(you)" Also it was a visual gag in many Looney Tunes cartoons where Elmer Fudd or anther character would turn into a sucker after being fooled.
  21. Fact: Women don't like Moulin Rouge as much as men. I cried at the end. I must have been having a feminine day.
  22. yeah, I don't know of anything that's raspberry and milk flavoured. Also, lolly = sucker.
  23. I can't tell what those are. They look kinda like the sugar daddies.
