  1. A rather great trailer if you ask me, but E3 hasn't even started so can't say it's a favorite yet. And it's true, I'm finding it hard to disconnect similar games to Dishonored. Every time I see a "Tall Boy" (or whatever), I think, "Yep, Half-Life 2!"
  2. Eh, got switched up on me... Anyway, part of me feels as though the video is fake, but we are rather close to E3 and there have been a lot of reveals for games like Dead Space 3 and Star Wars 1313. Not to mention I'm in the camp that says Versus 13 becoming 15 isn't that far off base.
  3. Seriously, nearly six months of hype for a post-story DLC that lasted for a single day without much effort. Wasn't even much of a story besides Harley Quinn going even more bananas, though people have been discussing what Gordon was trying to talk to Batman about. You know, the "other problem." Still, a hint and an easter egg wasn't really satisfying.
  4. At inns, like the one at the encampment will let you learn new skills, but I'll tell you right now that the capital (Gran Soren) is suppose to be the world's hub. The inn there will allow you to do everything you can to your character and items. You'll unlock more skills in your vocation by ranking up, basically gaining experience in that vocation. Word of advice, only your character can be a hybrid class. Your main pawn can only be the standard or advanced vocations which are Warrior, Ranger, and Sorcerer. Kinda bummed me out as I was planning on making my pawn an Assassin, but I believe the reason for this is because the hybrid classes are more effective through the user. What I mean by this is that technically you can use two vocation weapons, i.e. as a magick archer I can have both daggers and a staff. You can only equip one at a time, but theoretically I could just equip the staff during a fight. As of now, I'm working on my pawn's Warrior vocation, but it kinda bums me (again) that if I kept her as a Fighter, it's not as "specialized" a vocation as a Warrior. Though, she was quite amazing as a Ranger. I want to try out Assassin, but I'm working on ranking up Strider again. Being a Magick Archer is pretty cool, but your magic arrows are not going to be as great if you don't focus on magic even though you can use daggers. EDIT: I'm going to add you on PSN tomorrow MBM39 (if you have this game on PS3). If you want, you can use my pawn as Friends can enlist each others' pawns no matter the level. Usually high level pawns will cost you Rift Crystals, but a friend of mine was ahead and so I used his Lv. 27 Sorcerer when I was at Lv. 19 and stuck because of some powerful bandits.
  5. I will say this, because after all it was a rather large easter egg in the main game, but when you see the new "item" where there was the test, you'll see some more.
  6. Perhaps you've already seen it, but it bears repeating: DERPY HOOVES FIGURE!!! No, like a real Derpy Hooves figure that will be at both San Diego Comic-Con and a My Little Pony convention in Orlando. Thing is, the figure should be up (in a limited amount) on the Hasbro Toy Shop website, so if you can't make it to Comic-Con, that seems to be your only safe alternative. There have been other methods I've seen, like some Asian market site of some kind that the Brony group I frequent mentioned, or how some MLP forums have a few they're giving away.
  7. Eh, it is a bit underwhelming. Though, part of it is probably because of the massive hype it had this year. I mean, with all the goof-ups I had and all, it lasted around 90 minutes (including the cutscenes, which were pretty good.) If I'm going to play again, I'm going to use a guide for all those balloons. I got about 20 of them on my own, but I didn't really bother looking too.
  8. I completely forgot about the DLC last night, but it's downloading now. With the three-day weekend, Tuesday didn't feel like... Tuesday.
  9. It was a simple typo, but since this is campaigning, these kind of things get blown out far and wide. It's like you could make a comedy out of the things you'd expect to hear from two warring politicians. Oh wait...
  10. Oregano. There, I mentioned something odd too! EDIT: Oh, 4chan memes, how delightful. Now I know about another Internet thing that will probably never be brought up again. But honestly, the only reason I bothered to mention the pre-orders is that the whole time the guy is acting out how "awesome" the Mayan DLC for Assassin's Creed III is going to be. Like, he was laying it on thick and going into detail about the "mayan saber that's not really like a saber, but it's still this cool sword saber-thing."
  11. Huh, everyone I mentioned the homeless cannibal to didn't know what I was talking about, so I didn't bother mentioning here. But yeah, two naked dudes in a road divider and one of them is chewing off the face of the other. There's video too. (SFW)
  12. QWOP is best left to where it belongs... IN HELL!
  13. I got the strategy guide for Dragon's Dogma. Not really for the "strategy," but for stats, maps, and any kind of hints. I mean, it's still a great game (IMO 8/10), but it's lacking in certain aspects. Mainly, the game doesn't bother to explain pawn attributes, element symbols, or any exact person/goal in certain quests. Always trying to find a quick solution on my smartphone never was "quick," so I decided to get the guide. However, Amazon has been saying it would ship in 1 - 3 weeks! The estimate I got put it in the middle of June. Sure, once it would ship it would take two days, but I didn't want to take the chance of having to wait over a week to have a resource material. Anyway, I go to Walmart, no good. I go to Best Buy because the girl on the phone says there's one left, but I get there and NOPE! She says she saw one at Barnes & Noble though, but it turns out it was "Dragon Quest." I call up the local GameStop, one I haven't been to in years, but the guy was nice and said there was one left, one left in his hand. I get there, the thing is slightly tattered but with my Power Up Rewards I got 10% off the guide. Of course the whole time the guy was trying to push pre-orders, but I mustered through and got out. With it being slightly damaged, the way I see it (OCD n' all), it gives me an excuse to rough my copy up with tabs, and etc. The quests are alphabetized, which is handy, though it means you'll have to scan to find what you need.
  14. I'm going to keep in eye out for the last Gold Box as the description is for a headset. I have a great mic headset, but the earpieces could be more comfortable. Still great for video editing, but not quite there for gaming. EDIT: Meh, it's a pair of Turtle Beach that are suited for 360 and PC. It has a USB connection, but from reviews it seems that's not the best option.
  15. I know I've said this before, but while it's nice to have a 54" HDTV over the summer, I hate having to share it. I haven't done this in a LONG time, but I'm going to wake up early to play a video game.

    1. 「Advent Chaos」

      「Advent Chaos」

Ah that reminds me of when I was younger and had to beat my sister to the TV before she would watch "The Real World" for hours.

  16. With MIB3, it's a film where you don't want to think hard on what they're delivering you. Now keep in mind what I'm saying isn't "check your brain in at the door" like with a dumb action film, but instead just go along with the progression. There are however key points that rely on going outside time manipulation. They're paradoxes that exist to make the plot, so this is the inherent problem with time travel in movies: unavoidable plot holes. This is one that will bug you, but I was able to prolong it until after the movie and I imagine anyone else can too.
  17. MIB3 I sorta wanted to put this into Good Movie because of how it's more enjoyable than the second movie, but it's not that great. There are a lot of WTF moments, though the movie does spend the time to attempt to explain what was happening. There are good jokes, but also jokes that utterly fall flat. You should definitely see it for yourself, but for me this movie is a rental. Of course, a top of the list rental if you're in the mood for a fun movie. Also, keep a look out for those Sony products! There's no Vita, but you'll see a PS3 and PlayStation Move.
  18. Was bored and wanted to look some images up, and found this. I totally blanked on the direct reference at the bottom. Of course, I wasn't a huge fan of the first round of episodes of TLA so they're not really engrained in my mind.
  19. Look at Pabu... judging Mako and Korra with those eyes...
  20. No, just means the cable company doesn't have its act together. I swear, once DirecTV is local, I'm convincing my parents to get satellite before I go back to college.
  21. Unless the Official Facebook page is full of it, sadly there is no new episode. It would have been great for the three-day weekend, but at least I don't have to wake up early now to watch a show at 9 AM when it's suppose to be 11 AM. (For some reason we get the Eastern broadcast.)
  22. So about 60 on top and another from the bottom, which seems to be around the standard. Given how many television commercials and shows are letterboxed on widescreen, I think I've simply gotten use to those added black bars. It especially helps when an HDTV is a good solid black. But enough about this, I'm going to talk about actually playing the game some more! I'm trying to do one of the early side quests, one where I have to find a girl (the love interest) in the Witchwood. I've died twice trying to take out the head bandit atop the cliff leading to the forest. Seriously, the jerk is leagues above his goons. Before this quest though, I tried to take out a monster that my pawns and I could only take a quarter of its health away. I tried climbing on its back and the thing falls backwards to CRUSH ME! This is the kind of game where people accustom to enemy levels may get a bit annoyed when they can't gauge the difficulty right away. Bandits are usually the grunt enemy type, but in this game, don't underestimate them. So far, at Lv. 13, I can only take out goblins, harpies, and wolves easily. Even skeletons and zombies are tough as nails. At least spiders are still a piece of cake.
