  1. In case no one subscribes to the TLA subreddit, probably the most ingenious joke I've seen for LoK.
  2. That awkward moment when you visit yuor hometown, and when you see someone working at the store/restaurant you're in, you and them don't quite know if you know each other, you know?

I'm working at my former elementary school over the summer. Needless to say, it's pretty strange seeing a few of my old teachers.

      Enervation

I've always been on cordial terms with the people in my hometown, but we have a strict "outside of school, pretend we don't know each other" rule for all of us.

      It's worked fine so far.

Seeing old girlfriends is horrible, too. "Hey, how are you? I heard you went off the deep end after I dumped you. Yeah. Well, good luck with that then."

  3. Well, about the voice... Just had to make it deeper, but... eh, okay.
  4. Some guy already beat me to most of the GIF worthy scenes, though I still have a few ideas left. The benefit of getting your episodes on iTunes, I guess. Like Mister Jack, I'm waiting for the disc collection. I doubt it'll be Blu-ray though, given that animated "kid's shows" are on DVD because parents can't (most of the time) justify buying Blu-ray for a cartoon.
  5. Woah, WOAH! I'm surprised no one else has posted anything about this amazing episode. I mean, without spoiling anything, it's setting up everything for the big 1 hour finale. Like, it's all straightforward, so no need to theorize, but the amount of action and bending we're use to from the original series is brimming to a high level. Lin Beifong... just, she has always been a favorite, but that lady really I'm also going to have a lot of scenes to GIF. Not one, or two, but probably a dozen. Oh, also, Bumi is not Amon. Someone noticed a little detail given...
  6. In "And The Winner Is..." when Korra says "I'm surprised she didn't try throwing her in jail" and Tenzin adds that she tried. If you go on Nick.com for the episode, it's at 5:50. EDIT: It's implied that was Lin's initial reaction, so nothing relatively close to the events of LoK.
  7. That's another thing LoK has over TLA
  8. The Great Divide. I learned not too long ago that a lot of fans consider that to be the worst episode. Worst being a relative term of course, but still an immensely forgettable episode compared to the rest of the series.
  9. Final Press Art for Legend of Korra's season finale, by Bryan Konietzko none other. He has a few in-progress pieces of this final image, sans Korra and Mako.
  10. For a movie that's asking deep questions and providing a rich atmosphere for its characters, it is frustrating when you see these things and have to suffer through flat characters. I mean, here's another... I wasn't hyped for the movie, but I can only imagine the level of frustration those who were (Penny Arcade) are feeling now.
  11. As an FYI, if you've been relying on Nick.com for episodes, it appears that the "Full Episodes" category is going to be limited to six episodes. Kinda sucks because I wanted to pull some material from "The Revelation." If I was a "digital" copy kinda fella, I'd go ahead with either iTunes or Amazon. Any other online streaming service has crap quality and graphics, and you can't rely on YouTube because we're talking about Viacom material here. I guess I won't make my new idea is all. I was going to create another Comedian Amon, but this time guest starring Bolin.
  12. A part of me feels like Nintendo is simply hesitant now to add online where it won't be smooth enough. Remember Brawl? No one I know, myself included, could play a simple Random Match through the online multiplayer. Sure, you could possibly connect with another player after some minutes, but the thing ran like pond water. 99.99% of my multiplayer in Brawl was with my Friends List. Nintendo's online, infrastructure or whatever, is probably still behind where meeting someone for random co-op in a game like Pikmin would be a lagfest. Maybe your Friends List would work, but it would be this limited experience. Still, having local co-op is better than nothing and I'm still going to find myself with a copy of Pikmin 3, whether I can play with some kid hundreds of miles away or not.
  13. See the problem with that one is that Razor Wind is a Normal-type move, and Normal-type moves have never been super effective against another type. And of course I changed the name because names in Pokemon can only be 10 characters long, so either I make it "AVATARAANG" or I make "AVATAR" into a class. I thought people wouldn't mind the 11 characters, but if you're going for a theme, more accuracy is preferred.
  14. A few days ago I decided to get rid of my Tumblr because I have never been great at maintaining a blog. Not to mention my images have been blowing up on Reddit, so "Imgur+Reddit" it is! Speaking of, enjoy the fruits of my labor: My Imgur Images Personally, this is my favorite (2nd revised).
  15. I believe it's soundbending, as Aang had (I believe) two instances where he amplified his voice. Of course, this is all speculative fan theory from TLA years ago. Even so, sound would probably be more of a tool than an offensive form. Sure, maybe some kind of "thunder clap," but nothing the likes of metal or bloodbending (as far as I can think). I see ice as a waterbending technique rather than a specialized form. There's also "plantbending," but to be honest it's bloodbending but with plant life. When Hama is teaching Katara about water in plants and the air, it's what leads into her knowledge of bloodbending. Still, it seems like you're more so waterbending with different arm motions to make sure the plants stay together. If I found it, someone made a really good chart (not 100%) that detailed the secondary forms and Avatar specific abilities (lavabending and etc).
  16. Seriously, I agree with the above statements. As I said in the OK thread, there was only one intense moment to me. Also, are we to believe that all the Xenomorphs came from...
  17. Oh hey, I'm going to put Prometheus here too! No, really, I didn't have any expectations, but this wasn't as enjoyable as I hoped it would. There are far too many cliches, and most of the characters are begging to be killed. I was actually glad that David was being ruthless and had his own goals. The goals of the other characters were so boring. Sure, there are some good revelations, but you're going to find yourself realizing how unnecessary some of the actions characters are to the overall movie. I swear, it was like watching a horror flick with a bunch of horny dumb teens, but they're scientists and engineers. This isn't even hyperbole, and believe me I wish it was... You don't need an extensive knowledge of the Alien franchise because anything familiar is changed. There are other nitpicks, but I don't think this was as good as it could have been. The best part was in the middle of the film and that was really it.
  18. Because I feel this is relevant... Anyway, to those theories... Anyway, I agree with Mister Jack's second-to-last post (#252). Because bloodbending is a high skilled bending form, chances are Avatar Aang didn't believe he would face bloodbenders, especially if they needed a full moon. Also, to break free of bloodbending, Aang would have to practice bloodbending too. As the Avatar, especially an Air Nomad, want to commit to practicing on animals and people? So, Avatar State, gain the strength of hundreds of other Avatars, and done.
  19. Yeah, that's it. I wouldn't have minded if Mako and Asami stayed together. Though, based on the season finale preview, it looks like Mako and Korra get to team up and chances are something big will happen (relationship or not).
  20. Ah, now I see it... And now I have no more honor. *kneels down to have bending removed*
  21. I can't see your reality (as in "Posted Image").
  22. "Borra" is the shipping name, but honestly ever since the second episode's ending they really hinted at this "two lovers meet" angle, especially when Mako answered for himself when Bolin asks about himself having a relationship with Korra.
  23. i.e. Watching No Country for Old Men on Spike. With its pacing and how often Spike throws commercials during movies, it ruined my experience.
  24. Yeah, gonna go single player. If I wasn't doing this internship of mine, I would be back with my one good roommate (and this new decent guy) and possibly have them join in.
  25. Let me say, it's rare that a television series ever make me physically gasp when something amazingly shocking goes down. In closing, "pantbending" and how no man is safe from Lin's fingers. EDIT: Oh, and someone carefully scanned the last eight episodes and the Feathered Hat Guy (or whatever) has appeared 25 times! EDIT2: Said moment where I gasped and nearly fell out of my seat. (I'd make it longer, but it's already 1.91MB.)
