  1. I'm excited for it, just as soon as I was able to break away from the game and continue Fallout 4. Now they're pulling me back... Went to the subreddit and I can't believe people would complain about this. Yeah it's not story-based DLC, but people have been itching to do something with their Sparrows. Well, you know, besides speed through certain segments of Strikes. Also, that armor is sexy awesome. Sexsome?
  2. Reasons to watch CGI The Clone Wars: Kickass Clone Troopers More Jedi Knights Sith Shenanigans (I wish I could spoiler this...) Badass Obi-Wan Anakin struggling with the Dark Side is actually interesting (versus the movies) Space Pirates Bounty Hunters Mandalore: Story of Tradition vs Progress Likewise, Death Watch Yoda gets schooled by the Force itself General Grievous gets his ass kicked a dozen times and it's great Count Dooku is still an ass, but one you love to hate Some movie character cameos That was just a quick list, but yes Jar Jar appears in a few episodes, primarily when he's part of a story arc involving kidnappings of Force-sensitive children. Some space princess only trusts him and wants to ride his Gungan dong.
  3. I should have mentioned this when it was on sale, but Until Dawn was $20 over the weekend. I originally rented the game and did one run of the story. Thing is, it's actually such a good game that I wanted to own it and go through it once more and try out some alternate choices. Also, there's yoga pants.
  4. The Clone Wars is so good once it picks up steam from the first couple seasons. Not to say those early seasons are bad, but the quality you get from the later seasons is what makes The Clone Wars memorable. Star Wars Rebels continues the trend and it's so awesome to have Ashoka and Rex back! The only thing that bothers me, at times, is how chill Ezra and the others can be when thousands of Imperials have died as a result of their escapades. Take the latest episode, though I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it.
  5. I was hoping for a nice Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale because I can't justify $60 for a multi-only game. It's a good one mind you, but if I get bored I'd like something I can do alone. The only deals I was seeing were discounts on the Deluxe version or special retailer editions. Walmart had a get $20 PSN credit, but I would still be paying full price.
  6. Wait, wait, wait... How did the first expansion to Bloodborne come out and I'must now just hearing about it? Curse you Fallout 4!

Also predictive text can be a pain.

  7. I tried Iron Banner. I do prefer Clash, but obviously there will be some matches where people are camping and so it can be a much slower game of Clash. Sunbreakers are still OP. Had one at 3/4 health and was going to finish him with my rocket. From the time I fired and the time the rocket directly hit him, he killed a teammate of mine and got all his health back. If you don't know, Sunbreakers at full health can tank a rocket. He survived, killed me and regain all his health back. Probably went off somewhere to tank a Golden Gun shot somewhere else too. I did get a 300 armor piece out of Iron Banner that helped me increase my Light... Had a killer game of Rift to relax from the stress. Maybe I'll upload some of it later.
  8. Not sure if I would double dip for my PS4. I mean, I straight up was dedicated to the game that I mastered it. Not sure I would bother with the same dedication when I have newer un-played games. A shame the in-game trophies were not PlayStation trophies back on PS3. If anyone I know has a PS4 you know I'm going to be recommending it!
  9. So I got the Confidence Man bug fixed. I went back to a save before the bar fight as that seems to be where the trouble starts. Based on others' experience, it seems that Bull didn't say his line before leaving and Travis would instantly want to sit down after finishing his fight. I also made sure to "unequip" my fists just in case the game thought I was still in that "Essential" brawling state. After three attempts, because Travis would just go wandering off after "beating" one of the guys, I tested my character. I got massacred by a Mr. Gutsy. So I went about the rest of the quest. Vaporized Cougar and punched Bull so hard that his head popped off. Quest was still buggy because DAMN TRAVIS WAS WANDERING AROUND AGAIN AFTER THE FIGHT! I led him up the stairs so he could talk to Vadim and then finished the quest. Later on, I was wandering around and came upon Oberland to do a Minuteman quest. I leave and it so happens Vadim is just casually walking on the railroad tracks outside Oberland. WTF? To answer the difficulty question. I feel like Fallout 4 can become either casual or brutal depending on how you travel about the Commonwealth. In my three attempts in fixing my bug with Confidence Man, I first came across a few Raiders and took them down easily. The second time I found a pack of Feral Ghouls, which can be overwhelming, but manageable. My third attempt was the Mr. Gutsy encounter which shredded me as I turned a corner.
  10. He's definitely designed for that one mission and then done. Was reading a post online about how Travis doesn't sneak, not to mention you can't trade with him. He's just an extra 10mm Pistol. Speaking of, is there a definite way of having your companion use a weapon you give them? I know you can have them equip it, but after some time they go back to their default.
  11. I've got mine too, but let me NOT spoiler tag this as it's a pain in the ass. The mission Confidence Man, where you help out Travis (Diamond City DJ), is super bugged. There's a bar fight where your character and the two opponents are set at Essential. Problem is is that after that bar fight you and the two NPCs retain that Essential status. You can not die and when you have to kill them later, THEY WILL NOT DIE! You may be invincible and have a second companion for the rest of the game, but it's not that fun. Bethesda is already looking into it, but even with all the user fixes, there's still the issue where the player is marked as Essential. I'm on PC so I have quite the number of saves before the issue, but I wanted anyone on console to know of this issue. You might have a save before the bar fight, or you might not. Trust me, Travis is not an enjoyable companion. EDIT: You fall down like your companions when you're about to run out of health. Players have remarked how that can glitch the rest of the game, i.e. screwy camera angles and model clipping.
  12. I've only joined Minutemen so far as I remember BoS not being the most upstanding of factions. Already did the first initial quest and said Maybe to the invitation. I'm only 8 hours in and I have Piper as my companion. For the first hour I didn't realize she technically had a second outfit. As we were exploring I would give her whatever decent armor came our way until I noticed her "reporter" outfit and "roader" outfit under it. I'm pretty observant, but I also didn't realize you could scroll down in the Perks List and select the grayed out perks as the top row indicates how far down the list you can go. First eight levels I was just adding to the top row...
  13. Q: Will you accept this side quest? A: Yes; No; Maybe; Why?

And for how much? (which so far is usually 125 caps, which given what you get for loot is kinda low)

You can usually talk that up to 200 though.

  14. I caved in. I made my first purchase through GMG because they have another 20% off discount. $48 for a game that will unlock in less than 6 hours. Much like Skyrim, I'll have it on PC, but I'll be playing with a controller. My current setup for my PC isn't ideal for gaming, but my ridiculously long wired 360 controller resolves the issue.
  15. I don't have The First Curse yet, but I've seen enough videos of its performance to know what I'm getting out of the weapon. If I had to rank the Year 2 Exotic Handcannons, it would be (best to worst): PvE: Hawkmoon, Ace of Spades, The First Curse, The Last Word PvP: Hawkmoon, The Last Word, Ace of Spades, The First Curse Pretty much nothing beats Hawkmoon and The Last Word is a PvP gun, not a PvE gun.
  16. Double Post, but just wanted to say real quick that the First Curse quest line is even worse than The Chaperone quest line. The Chaperone was possible because, if need be, other kills outside of The Last Word would count for your score and you could always unequip the gun when you didn't have a Super or Heavy Ammo. After all, you could be a baller with The Last Word, but with just the gun itself you would have needed multiple killstreaks and at least a 2.0 KD. The First Curse quest is alright at first, but it's the Imprecation step that's pure ass. Outside of the two time gated steps (yes, wait for Armsday twice), you have to use literally the worst gun in the game. After the terrible handcannon nerf, this terrible handcannon is even worse! You have to Infuse it to over 260, which is alright because it takes two 280+ guns and done. The 7 enemy kill spree in PvE is a bit challenging, but basically find a group of Thrall and make sure to activate Triple Tap once and done. It's the Crucible step that's absolute shit. You have to get seven precision kills in one match. You might say to yourself, yeah I get headshots quite a bit, so that's possible. You have to get those headshots with the Imprecation, no other gun in your layout. Have I said how terrible the gun is? I mean, I could write an essay on everything wrong with the gun. What further aggravated me was all the matches where I got six headshots with the gun, but couldn't find another player in time before said matches would end. The recommended mode, if you're solo, is to go into Rumble. Have I mentioned how ass the Imprecation is? Very rarely can you challenge anyone, especially a Scout or Pulse Rifle. Preferably you might want to get a fireteam together, in a 3v3 mode, and have your friends do most of the damage so then you finish them off with a headshot. The problem going solo is that it's a race against the winning team/player. One instance last night I had a damn "tryhard" decked out in Trials gear and (of course) Sunbreaker cleaning up all the inexperienced players. Before his final kill I tried to find the four other players, but lo and behold I come across him, he breaks into his Super, dances because he knows there's no effective counter unless I have my Super and shoot at him before he tosses a hammer in 0.5 seconds. I did not have my Super. I only pasted this step because I got lucky in another Rumble match an hour later. The hit detection on the Imprecation is the pinnacle of the handcannon nerf. If you look into this, as others have posted about it, I was lucky to find an AFKer in the beginning of the match. Stood still and fired at his head three times. The second shot somehow registered as a body shot. HOW?! Well anyway, the top player was at 2475 (out of 2500) and I was still at six precision kills. I had accepted defeat, but the top player still hadn't finished the match. Then I see a group of players duking it out and knew it was my last chance. I did it. I danced. I died. I didn't care. Know I wait for Armsday to receive one of the most mediocre Exotics of Destiny. If anyone would attempt this quest, I volunteer as your sacrificial lamb as another strategy to complete the step is to enter Rumble with a friend and have the friend be your seven precision kills. There are players against this, but you don't even have to finish the match, so once the seven headshots are done, just leave the match.
  17. I'm not the biggest Fallout fan, but I'm always interested in playing a Bethesda game. It's just I know, just like Fallout 3 and Skyrim, I'm probably never going to finish the main story/quest. However, due to my current budget, I'm holding off on getting Fallout 4 at launch. In a month's time I should have the proper funds, but also there's bound to be more deals around the holidays. EDIT: I will say though, according to the System Requirements on Steam, my Intel Core i5 is among the minimum requirements and I still run a GTX 760, not a 780. Hmm...
  18. What Ethan and Heart said. The downside to any LFG site will be the insufferable asses that demand some ridiculous requirement (like Light Level 300 for Vault of Glass), but the userbase is dedicated to the task at hand. Matchmaking gives you a mix bag of players, and while that's fine and dandy for a majority of the content, it just wouldn't work for the raids. Hell, try playing with randoms in the higher levels of Court of Oryx on the Dreadnaught. You're suppose to, as a team, attack the Wannabe Crota's shield, and then attack him with the sword relic. Couldn't get two of the four people playing a few nights ago to understand that and some poor soul essentially wasted his Antiquated Rune. As an FYI, I've been playing since Day One. A break here and there, but I've put time into this game. Still have never played a Raid. I'm not comfortable with random groups, though I have thought about a Sherpa in the past. Thing is, I know it's asking for trouble if matchmaking was put into Raids. Hell, AFK players in Heroic Strikes is such a pain and Strikes are very straight forward. My hours after work are usually 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM MST. Apply that to your respective time zone, but I will mention I've decided I'm going on a typical Destiny break. The nerfing of resources made it an easier decision, not to mention 70% of the new exotics are meh/
  19. I'm sure it has been brought up before, but for the letter Z: Zee vs Zed It always throws me for a loop when someone says "zed" because it almost sounds like the names Ed and Ned.
  20. I've always been a night owl of sorts, but my new job schedule simply enforces my poor sleep schedule.

How long did you do it for? I just passed the 8 year mark. Almost my entire adult night has been spent working nights, thursday-Monday. Shitty.

  21. Been lurking on the forum at work when on breaks. Finally some time to post a lil' something. I got my Chaperone with the help of one other Guardian matchmade in the Strike. We only wiped once and that was after we killed one of the brothers with a shotgun. The second attempt we both realized that we could just target the other brother and be done. We killed both brothers and finished the strike. Insta-friends. Well, haven't talked to this person yet, but you gotta respect someone who has the skill and tolerance to get through a Level 42 strike on a two-man fireteam. There was a third, but he left after I joined a minute into the strike. Maybe didn't realize I was there as I had to run to their current location where you first fight the Cabal in the ship and before the tank. Anyway, love the shotgun because it's a fun weapon. Not a killer like that No Time To Explain.
  22. So do we get a free one, then everything is paid? Thought I read that somewhere last week. Either way, I'm getting the Carlton (Enthusiastic)! EDIT: Mobile Auto-correct.
  23. I play in third person, and what I noticed is that though the camera isn't obstructed, your character model could very well be shooting into the rock on your left. I also agree with the AT-AT assault. Majority of the time now one AT-AT at least gets taken out. Even in my last match where we were dominating on the Imperial side, someone actually tripped one of the AT-ATs. Still won!
  24. Yeah, what I meant. Just infusing weapons is a slower process as when you finally get a higher leveled weapon, you're more than likely only infusing for 6-8 points. For Exotics, it requires an Exotic Shard each time, which Xur no longer sells individually. I've heard that for players who got the Black Spindle from the Daily Heroic, when you go to repurchase it, it's at Light 300. That way it has been a good resource for them in leveling other weapons.
  25. I went into MGO for TPP for the first time last night. It's alright. Infiltrator is the "advanced player" class, but honestly it just has different perks. I was hardly playing "true" stealth when it came to Bounty Hunter. In the preview it showed everyone being slow and methodical, but everyone I've played with and against plays very aggressively. There's also not much use for stunning from my experience. I stunned three people with one Stun Grenade once and before I could Fulton them, a guy shoots me and wakes them up. You have a chance to increase your tickets, but when push comes to shove, killing your opponent has a more immediate benefit. i.e. When I went 7-0 with my stealth camo and SMG.
