I've leveled a lot of weapons as of late, so if you're not constantly going into strikes and getting weapon blue engrams, it catches up to you. Right now I'm leveling Boolean Gemini, but I haven't been able to actually activate any of its perks. Each time you want to increase the power of a weapon with infusion, that's 10 parts. Another thing is that you might come across a better Legendary as perks have gone back to being random and permanent. So the parts you used for that previous weapon are wasted as you only get so many back from dismantling. I still have a healthy supply of armor pieces because, again, you're bound to get a lot of 260-270 armor. With weapons, I'm having better luck in getting more powerful weapons, but infusing might only give you a few points for the infused weapon.

It's not common, but I do get blue/rare engrams to Light levels above 290. Problem though is that you're still prone to getting a lot of 260-270 armor. I've also ran out of Weapon Parts. It's easier to level weapons now, but leveling and infusing has resulted in me losing my supply of Weapon Parts like Reforging did in HoW.

I've received two Sublime Engrams that give out the exclusive Legendary armor. I have the gauntlets and cloak so far and they're pretty sweet. I'm only at Light 276 given what time I've spent, but I still tried the special Chaperon version of the Shield Bros strike. You know, Lv 42 and 290 Recommended Light Level. The group I was in got up to the second brother after multiple attempts. It is stupidly difficult if you're not at a near-endgame state on your character. I had to stop after so many attempts.

I need to stop Infusing every little bit of weapons and armor and keep gathering Legendary Marks for Exotic Upgrades. Truth be told, Strange Coins come rather easily, so Xur's first week of TTK was pretty much seeing what upgraded exotic helmet you could get. I got Mask of the Third Man for my Hunter and Obsidian Mind for my Warlock. Excellent pieces, but I too want my improved Monte Carlo. At one point I had a second when Prison of Elder's first came out, but I was like, "Who needs two of this autorifle when all autorifles are gimped!" Now everyone is raving about it because it's excellent perk, which it always had since its first patch, is matched with good stopping power.

I've got some rather unpleasant memories from the MGO2 days. It was one of my first online competitive experiences and the community could be toxic. Like, you show any level of skill and you've got some asswipe harassing everyone to kick you out of the match. Even teammates if you didn't go along with their plan, no matter how half-baked the strategy truly was. I remember I was playing as Meryl and a teammate began flipping out because I went off to confront the enemy. I took two guys down and came back looking right at him. "oh, okay you're still here." This looks much better and there's a true emphasis on teamwork. I'm not sure what class I might choose because I honestly like each aspect of each class. I'm thinking Infiltrator, just I hope I have good defensive options. Scout looks good, but seems to excel in long-range, which is fine, but I like to get in close. I worry Enforcer might become popular as I'm sure there will be players who will treat this as another FPS, guns-a-blazin'.

I mean, it's been used for online console games for over a decade. Most of the time it isn't actual AFK, but rather absent-minded players.

Screw the Jolly Holiday quest. Closest I got was 41% without knowing the points system. After a few more matches, I'm barely above 0%. All that progress gone because I'm not getting killer killstreaks and Heavy Ammo each match. EDIT: Stupid auto-correct.

Here is mine. On mobile, sorry. https://www.destinythegame.com/legend-of-you/share?video=2.4611686018434273433.2305843009217421987&version=2

Usually the villains are the ones who feel harassed by the hero. Their insanity skews their worldview and depicts them as the victim.

Pfft, only if you have an Ocelot fetish.

I'm not sure I like what they did to my precious Handcannons. This is definitely a big tweaking of the weapons, and I swear Fusion Rifles are absolutely useless now. I know people didn't really use them for some time, but I could do some serious damage with Plan C and a few others on different characters. That Hakke Fusion Rifle at the Gunsmith is really good, but I've been using Plan C and I can't get kills like I use to with it. People have been using Hardlight now, and while it has vastly improved, I don't really think it's some killer weapon now. Bad Juju is what I'm rolling with, but that's mainly because I have to compensate for the sudden increase in the cooldowns. I'm so use to grenades, melee, and Supers coming quickly, but all our armor is gimped to where you're going to have to look into new armor, or upgrading something. Just look at your Frontier Ghost Shell even. It use to be called the Vanguard shell, but anyway, the thing only offers 3 points. In comparison, if you get one of the new shells, they're somewhere around 142 points! Also, hold off on doing any quests until Taken King is officially out. I guess there are suppose to be emblems for each subclass quest, but if you do them now, you only get the class item. Don't know if Bungie will make ammends later on, but right now I only have the Bladedancer Cloak. I also got the Digital Collector's Edition upgrade, and while the Exotic cloak counts as your Exotic armor, I'll still use it to help level up the Nightstalker class much more quickly.

What I've read is that there are a handful of post-game missions that flesh out the ending. However, there was story cut through development and that a blu-ray that came with the collector's edition has video that goes over that content. I wasn't expecting anything huge because we're sandwiching a game between Big Boss and the events of Metal Gear. I don't know everything yet as I haven't finished the game. I just have my intuition about everything suspect about the beginning of the game. Not to mention that I had a feeling that all the trailers I've seen have revealed a lot of the story. EDIT: I forgot to mention how ironic it is that we have a Metal Gear Solid game where people are itching for story and cutscenes. I still remember MGS4's launch and people going on about how it was X hours of cutscenes.
-
It wouldn't be a Metal Gear Solid game without tits n' ass close-ups. It's like one of the cornerstones of Kojima's Tactical Espionage Action: Identify Enemy Asses.

Mad Max: Fury Road Man, I remember people throwing a fit because the female lead was "focused on," but Max was in the movie just as much. Pretty solid, though I think I should go back and watch the other films and see how it compares as a Mad Max film. It was pretty exciting and brutal either way. EDIT: Forgot to say I liked the integration of that crazy music truck playing parts of the movie's soundtrack.

So the New Nintendo 3DS, not just the XL, will be available in North America this September 25 as part of the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle. After that bundle, it would make sense that it will eventually be available as a standalone unit. So after all the reasons it didn't make it Stateside, it's now going to be available.

Got myself a Logitech HD Webcam C310. One of my job interviews is a video interview where I record my responses to predetermined questions. Thing is, I couldn't use my tablet and the laptop I have collecting dust is 5 years-old and generates a lot of heat now. I actually looked up to see if I could get my ol' PS Eye to work because it's technically high quality webcam. I would have to install a custom driver, but the website it was hosted on was buggy and there wasn't much support for it lately. So, went shopping and the Logitech webcam was on sale for $30. 720p and has great audio quality, just don't know how much I'll use it. Guess I could video chat people.

Another one before MGSV hits this Tuesday. Until Dawn Rented it at Redbox and spent last night and parts of today to get through the story. It definitely has the length and draw of a full fledged narrative, so don't be surprised if you find yourself not wanting to put it down yet to find out what happens next. Part of that is because the plot is multi-layered and also because you'll control someone or a pair at certain segments where your choices will matter later on. The controls can be a bit wonky as far as trying to move your character, but everything else works as intended. Let me tell you, I wasn't a fan of the "Don't Move" segments. Not that they were bad, but they happen very rarely for 90% of the game. When you need to hold your controller still, you might be in an awkward position at that moment where it's still detecting some movement. I was overall satisfied with my choices and outcome. Well, truth be told I wish two specific people had survived at the end. Not really a spoiler, but if you plan on playing the game and think you're doing excellent because most of your group is around, the final choices can be a big deciding factor. As one of the characters puts it, "Things on this mountain tend to happen quickly." For a semi-spoiler:

Went ahead and Redbox rented Until Dawn after watching the Super Best Friends LP. It's definitely interesting and worth a rent.

I'm getting hyped now for MGSV. I like the games, though I'm not the best at them. Just, Ground Zeroes played really well and that menu interface!
-
I've actually finally got around to playing Ground Zeroes. Only at 7% completion so far, so I'll give it a few more runs. I was doing extremely well until I accidentally shot a guy in the head with my live ammo and his buddy freaked out from the headshot. After that I went for broke and near the end I even tried controlling the tank. Not a good idea let me tell ya. Also, didn't know how to call in the helicopter and had left Chico soaking in the rain. Everything was fine, but I found it disturbingly hilarious Big Boss, or just "Snake," would rescue him and leave him at the shore.

You can't hesitate, or else Tiffany gets it. To be somewhat serious, I imagine it's the same logic where to receive a taser you've got to be hit by one. Understanding the actual electrical force you will potentially be applying to another human being and so forth. Ergo, hesitate and receive physical feedback of your failing in a life threatening situation to yourself and to those you're sworn to protect. It's extreme, then again we have those crazy-ass gaming jackets that are suppose to simulate getting hit by in-game bullets.

Bad News Hot Heart The two codes I had... only one worked. I'm not surprised because for anyone guessing codes, they really are predictable. The one that didn't work was XXT444MM, whereas the one that worked was CW7W74X7. So yeah, it's true that these codes favor X, 4, and 7. I'll grab myself two more because a promise is a promise, and they're not that expensive at 7-Eleven.
-
If you want, I can dig up the tabs I've had for a while. I held off because when I got them first, there was an issue going around about codes not being redeemed, so I forgot until you just mentioned it. I also watched the Twitch stream today, mainly because I'm a Mr. Fruit fan and was hoping for some details on new weapons. I wasn't really impressed, but honestly it's one of those things where you probably have to play the Strike to actually get it. Didn't get to see much of the new Sword weapon type, but if Mr. Fruit wasn't there, it would have been bland. Too many "Hardcore MLG" fans out there to realize you need to have some fun, also too many who can't understand sarcasm. Supposedly there will be Strike-specific rewards, so hopefully those will be worth our time. If I'm going to bother playing as a Titan, the new subclass looks killer. Also, Stroke the Forge. Felt bad for the Hunter because the Super is definitely a support type and the other two weren't working off it. Warlock still maintaining the unwritten favored with how insane the mobility is on that Super. I still firmly believe come launch, people will be throwing a fit against that Arc Super in PvP.

The Destiny Instagram has been revealing new Exotic armor and weapons. I first saw the new Titan helmet, but there has been a lot more revealed over time. For convenience, Destiny subreddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3ict3w/destiny_new_exotic_reveal_megathread/ As a Bladedancer, I'm excited for those Sealed Ahamkara Grips. Second Melee charge and chance to reload Primary weapon (Graverobber perk)? Prepare to be even more hated in PvP!

Finally upgraded my phone after 2.5 years on my old HTC Droid DNA. Went with a Samsung Galaxy S6 as I've never had a Galaxy phone and have always wanted one. I'm sure it's not the best of the best, but I'm a simple guy not looking for a handheld computer.
