  1. I'm one Checkpoint away from fighting him and then I'm going to go ahead and complete the Main Story. I'm actually surprised how long the final moments have lasted from the 90% range. I can't help but feel a bit lost at times because, with such a large open area, having to go through specific grates and openings can feel like a hunt whereas with the previous games it was all direct. Not to mention there's a lot of focus on disabling drones. I happened to have been shot down by a helicopter drone I didn't notice among the tanks in front of... Well, if you've completed the game, you know what I'm talking about. I've mastered the Batmobile, but at this point I feel like anyone would have done the same with the focus put on it. I definitely enjoyed the underground segment with you know and I didn't expect to lose such an important device. Good thing Lucius is such a cool guy helping Batman out.
  2. Hi, devil's advocate here. I took it as everyone, in the moment, is flabbergasted that the new and deadly dino has just escaped and no one was aware of it. The enclosure is reading there is no thermal signal of the big girl, and so we have our setup. To spoilers! Also, I would blame the chubby security guard for letting her out. Can't blame him though because you have an obvious exit with an immediate threat. Just, we know as movie goers that's going to be a problem.
  3. I remembered having to be much closer compared to Batman from Arkham City, but I was in fact right under the climbable fencing on the ceiling at first. I was even staring right at the ceiling, but it still wouldn't let me climb up until I went further right where the material splits to cover the length of the edge. It seemed rather picky of where I could jump back up. I agree that the characters all play similarity, so combat wasn't really ever a problem. I just had to remember I couldn't combo with half a dozen gadgets I had grown accustom to using when fighting as Batman. I had quite the rage last night because I also kept failing at the final part of Lap 3 in Riddler's final Batmobile track. It felt like luck because half the time I couldn't properly adjust the position of where the Batmobile could move. As such, I would get blown up because a corner of the Batmobile would get caught. So for about six attempts I would have 40 seconds to spare, but end up running out of time just as I found my way through. Eventually I picked a half of the track and used the Afterburner hoping to get through with the right timing.
  4. Fuck this game's Riddler Challenges. I just finished the last Catwoman one and it wasn't hard, but you know what's bullshit? "You can leave any time." R1... R1... Why am I not fucking jumping up to the ceiling. Oh sweet shit the blades are coming back! Oh good, I'm out of the way. Death. THE FLYING FUCK! DID IT CATCH HER HAND OR SOMETHING! 3 minutes later Oh, I see. I have to be in a specific spot for Catwoman to jump up to the ceiling. FUCK YOU! /rant
  5. Maybe if I had remembered to play during Splatfest, Dog would have had a higher winning percentage.
  6. Yeah, I came across a Riddler trophy location I knew, based on past experience, required that gadget. Thing is, here I am in the exact location where you can pick them up, but Batman doesn't say anything about them. In the previous games, the gadgets all have specific story mission elements to them, so it feels awkward to spot them on a table and think, "Yeah, these might be useful somehow." Also, Mister Jack just reminded me that I haven't had a boss fight per se. There have been moments between the Arkham Knight, a drone helicopter, some tanks... I think that's it. I've already taken care of Two-Face and... But those we pieces of cake. Two-Face goes down like a regular enemy NPC, whereas in Arkham City I know I had to sneak up on him multiple times and knock him out.
  7. When typing, the "Smiley" face is the forum's saved emoticons and other assorted pics like: I believe you can type them out too, but I use the above method.
  8. I'm about 54% through the main story, but total progress is something like 35%. I'm leaning towards Arkham City being my favorite, but Arkham Knight has it special moments that I guarantee will make it memorable. MASSIVE SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T BEGUN: I've gotten use to the Batmobile controls, but it's just so prevalent in the gameplay. Sure Gotham is a big place, but did Riddler's puzzle have to incorporate it so much? I get having puzzle based races, but the pure time trial stuff is out of place. So unfortunately I've been ignoring most of Riddler's riddles. However, Riddler has access to Gotham's communication network, so he'll go on about how I've been ignoring his riddles. I was at the Clock Tower during the story and after I got my new objective, Riddler gets on the mic nagging me about how there's still 90% of his riddles left. Honestly, just flying around in a big open area like Arkham City was what I liked. Considering most of your side missions have to be discovered most of the time (you'll get intel eventually), you're more likely to find the next part if you're flying around rather than driving like a madman in the Batmobile. There are a few that benefit from driving around, but that's it.

I had to get my stomach pumped a few weeks ago because I ate some bad sushi.

I think me and sushi are done forever now.

I went a year without sushi because of food poisoning. I lost 15 lbs in just a few days. I'll eat sushi now, but not often and not a lot.

Food poisoning sucks. I remember feeling atrocious and vomiting quite a bit. My case wasn't too bad and it only took me about 2 days to recover, but it was a terrible feeling.

  10. What does everyone think about the Batmobile? I'm a little concerned that there's too much focus on it, and I'm only troubled by that because it's kinda difficult to control half the time. Feels like I'm steering a boat with how much I find myself drifting just to straighten out.
  11. Still have my old DVD collections of the two. They are very much 90's anime, proportions and all. Trigun still holds up, but I haven't gone through Outlaw Star recently. I have nostalgia for it, but there are definitely goofy moments last time I gave it a watch. I mean, there's ancient Chinese magic (Tao Magic) in the middle of space ship battles!
  12. Jurassic World Easily right behind the first film. It has those summertime blockbuster flaws, which I mostly anticipated going into the film. I'm late to the party, so not much to bring to the table. I like the raptors, though the final moments made it uneasy on how to feel about what just went down. I have to comment on a few things:
  13. I contemplated putting this in Angry Thread, but the underlying issue is a pet peeve. Recently had a friend get harassed because he didn't put a rainbow overlay on his profile picture. Some very "open-minded and tolerant" people got angry at him and thought they found out he has been a homophobe all this time. I know the guy and he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He has also used cartoon screenshots as his profile pic for over a year, so when he says he doesn't care about his profile pic, I believe him. Hell, I haven't changed my profile pic in over two years. Not everyone changes their profile pic for every occasion, even for a cause they believe in. TL;DR Don't be a little shit thinking you know someone from a profile pic.
  14. Sitting here, having a rough time at work, when I get a notification on my phone. "Package Delivered" GET ME OUT OF HERE NOW!

Please, if I had to tell a lie involving genitalia, I'd tell my boss I've had an erection for more than 4 hours and need to consult a doctor.

When a co-worker (from like 15 years ago) got bagged for smoking pot on his lunch break, some other co-workers covered for him by telling the boss that he shit himself and had to go home. Just saying, it never came up again.

  15. The Red Bull promotion has been known for a while. It was the leak that gave us the name "The Taken King." What sucks is that the promotion is terribad and is definitely in league with previous Activision prompted promotions. Hell, I would say it's worse than those promotions for Call of Duty. On one hand, I understand that this is devised as a reoccurring purchase model for Red Bull. If they were giving out permanent rewards, most players would buy a Red Bull 4 Pack and call it good. If you had put the rewards on RNG, you'd see pissed off players because RNG has always been the double-edged sword to Destiny's reward system. It wasn't until House of Wolves that the burden was mostly lifted with Reforging and increase in Legendary drops. On the other hand, the XP boost works like a weapon telemetry, and suffice it to say, 30 minutes isn't always the ideal time frame to grind for XP. If this was the best alternative, they should have made it a 12 hour time frame. The only catch is that with that you'd probably have the more hardcore players level up most of their gear with the XP boost from one can of Red Bull.
  16. I'm not really one for creation-oriented gameplay now. I mean, I use to with games like LittleBigPlanet and WarioWare D.I.Y., but I just don't have much patience anymore. But it does look pretty cool.
  17. Hmm, seems like Amazon wants to give my Arkham Knight on Thursday and not Tuesday. Hmm... HMM...

History has taught me to never preorder from Amazon unless you have literally no other options.

      TheMightyEthan

Man, the worst preordering from Amazon has ever done for me is mean I don't get to start playing until like 8 PM instead of when I get off work at 5 PM.

  18. Someone's Ether Chest was filled with more than loot.
  19. I was going to say the same thing, just I haven't made it into theaters for Jurassic World yet. Still, point being you'd have to pay me to make it through Jurassic Park 3.
  20. I've upgraded Khepri's Sting. It's really cool, but it's not that much of a game changer for PvP. I mean, it allows a Bladedancer to free up a perk and gives Gunslingers invisibility. The one shot kill seems more at home for 3v3 or Rumble where it's less likely for someone to instantly see a blue ghost crawling around. Haven't watched much about the new content captured at E3, but a favorite subscription of mine has put it together nicely.
  21. Not everyone would agree. Like, I'm not a fan of the game (currently), but people need to chill out.
  22. I've jumped back in because Xur is selling Khepri's Sting. I'm mainly a Bladedancer, so this is the only other good Exotic for Hunters aside from Celestial Nighthawk. I want to level this bad boy up so bad!
  23. Just put them in tall grass. That worked rather well in The Lost World.
  24. I think I now have a pretty good grasp of what a "bad trip" would be like.
