  1. Because I'm all messed up, you know... yeah, cause I'm all messed up...
  2. Playing Destiny's Salvage PvP to get House of Wolves weapons early is not worth the pain of getting screwed over by bad teammates and random-ass glitches. MY FURY FLOWS FREELY!
  3. Logarius is tenacious when he gets you off guard. I'm sure I said this earlier in the thread, but I was probably two hits away from finishing him and he walloped me. The next time I got him, but he will stagger you like crazy if you create the opening. I actually beat Rom on my first attempt though. If you face him in a Chalice Dungeon though, he's a bastard because you're in a smaller place and with pillars. If there's one thing I can brag about playing Bloodborne, it's that I can dodge. All the ice and spiders barely touched me, and with my trusty Rifle Spear, those spiders were less difficult. Still a pain no matter how you face them.
  4. Yeah, the real breadwinners of TDB expansion are Obsidian Mind and recently 4th Horseman, though keep in mind 4th Horseman only has situation-base use. The Fallen bounties are most definitely a new use, but it also wrecks in PvP. The only downside to the latter is that recent balancing makes Special Ammo more scarce. Radiant Dance Machines only have one use: Add them with MIDA Multi-tool and you're the fast Scout Rifle user in Crucible. So yeah, you really can pass on The Dark Below. Bungie has definitely learned from their mistakes with that expansion and even when House of Wolves is out, you'll still have access to some of the new content that is being added. If Prison of Elders and all the add-ons live up to their potential, House of Wolves looks like a definite expansion to look into if you end up enjoying your experience in Destiny.
  5. I've put Destiny back in my PS4. May the Awoken Queen have mercy on my soul.

  6. Been a fan of Bob's Burgers for the last three or so years. It's primarily because of the better family dynamic that I much prefer it over any other animated sitcom on Fox. The Belcher kids are a better cast as a trio than your typical "screw you sis/bro" you get from Family Guy or whatever. It's like they're actually acting like kids than a shell for outdated references.
  7. Focus on the one with only a sword first. He's the easiest to parry, but do keep in mind the second swordsman's placement. Lure those two further away from the third who only casts fireballs. Once you've taken out the first with a few good parries, the other swordsman is basically the same tactic. The fireball guy then becomes a piece of cake as he's all alone. Did it first try, though I won't lie that they almost got me once.
  8. Definitely pachinko machines, but instead they're jerry-rigged to shoot the metal balls at the poor souls who make up the audience. As the audience is pelted with tiny metallic spheres, they also hear someone on the mic whispering "Gah-buh-riiiiinnggg" in forced excitement.
  9. Rifle Spear made that boss battle really easy. So you did go through the Grand Cathedral window to reach the real challenge, right?
  10. Who here watches Steven Universe? It's deja vu for me because I'm having the same reaction as I did with Avatar: The Last Airbender. The first dozen episodes didn't really grab my attention, it was just another "if it's on, sure" television show. We're not necessarily introduced to who these characters are and their relation to him and/or her (or whatever) for probably almost a dozen episodes. I forgot about it until it was probably 40 or so episodes in and I'm having a good time. It's probably because it's getting into the actual nitty-gritty of who the Crystal Gems are, who the antagonists are, and Steven having to have some true conflict. It plays on the emotional side, which I'm fine with and tend to enjoy. Only downside is that it can play out, in my wording, like a soap opera. I swear there must be two love triangles at work for this show, so it's definitely a shipper's paradise. Too bad that after Korra, shipping for me has become this minor annoyance rather than passive observation. I can't be ass'd to worry about where who and they are going to end up. But hey, if you're into pseudo-lesbian (spoiler below) pairings, there's like at least a dozen pairings for you to choose.
  11. New apartment internet. It's not Google Fiber, but I get 90-100 Mbps on both download and upload.

It's "fiber" runs, Ethan. Unless you want me to report you for Treasonous Spellings.

*rocks his 300/100 Mbps home connection like a goddamned boss*

^^ I hear you actually rock your 300/100 Mbps home connection like A LITTLE BITCH.

Huh, for some reason I thought fiber-optic specifically used the Queen's spelling.

  12. Here, just uploaded. Like I put in the title, this was attempt "I dunno." He really is tough, but there is a way or two to beat him without the cheese.
  13. I dunno... Playing as Batgirl... Batgirl...
  14. Staying in a hotel where the TV's "mute" is just really low volume. I'm talking on the phone and thinking "Who the hell is whispering outside my door?"

Well I guess you can wear flannel and look for Sub Pop's offices to drop off your bands demotape.

^You can just drop it off at the Sub-Pop store at the airport. Don't even need to come into the city.

Sweet, my Ben Gibbard cover band, Death Service for Postal Cab, is going to be huge.

  15. If you have doubts about Bloodborne, I posted my first Co-op boss battle in the thread. If you think it looks fun, or looks cool, or makes you feel funny in places, check out the game maybe.

And if that doesn't work, the Plain Doll's voice actress will do it.

      Mmmmmmmm.

  16. I decided to upload one of my earliest recordings from Bloodborne as motive for anyone curious in the game. Also shows my first experience with Co-op for a boss battle, so there's that too.
  17. Technically Dark Souls 2 had the slowly decreasing health until 50% mechanic, a.k.a. Hollowing, but it was easily resolved if you used a Human Effigy. In Dark Souls there was Humanity, but that was much easier lost, but only necessary in given moments. Like the above video stated, Dark Souls was vague (if not obtuse) with stats and items. While there are players who enjoy researching a game outside of said game, it shouldn't be expected as a universal trait. Hell, even getting to the DLC content was a process that could easily been missed if you didn't follow "Step 1 to Step 5." Bloodborne, you die once, are given your essential weapons and given your task. Walk around, fight and eventually you'll come to one of two bosses. It all unfolds from there and you'll be hardly backtracking to old areas to progress. Rather you might find yourself back at those areas from other paths.
  18. The only thing you'll be losing in Bloodborne is Blood Echos (a.k.a. Souls) and any finite items like Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets. So your health recovery item and firearm ammo. It's fast paced and you'll be able to recover health if you counter hit enemies. I mean, this is where renting comes in handy because my only complaints are that you'll probably have to blood vial farm for 10 minutes after a boss fight and some enemies can be brutal. However, this game doesn't have nearly as much vague material as the prior games. Your stats are condensed to where you won't be confused other than understanding Strength versus Skill. For those, some weapons are for Strength and some are for Skill.
  19. There's an ad on here for that Hannah Hart girl who probably makes up over 50% of YouTube's pre-roll ads. YOU CAN'T ESCAPE HER!

  20. As much as I enjoy the games, I hate the mentality behind the more "dedicated" player base. I'm actually okay with PvP hardly being a main component of Bloodborne. Why? Because of what little there is, you still get the crowd that wants everyone to play by their meta-game.
  21. Missed out on Silk #3 today, so all the female webslingers are popular in the area. Haven't had to order online for a while since most issues I'm interested in are available any time of the day, if not week. Will say, I've dipped into DC's Convergence, but there far too many issues to fully commit. I'm fairly certain the vast majority pick a few they're interested in and keep it to that amount. Hence why the local comic store is running out of room to place the leftover issues.
  22. I'd like the 30 seconds I watched back. NOW!
  23. Only other one I'll be getting is Ganondorf to complete a "Zelda set" of the Smash Amiibo. Doesn't come out till September in Wave Whatever.
  24. Seems like random Texans still think Texas is its own country. Most of Texas does run on its own power grid, I'll give it that, but it's not exactly healthy to be thinking you've got enemies in Oklahoma.
  25. I had some people saying it had to be church set attire, though I know I've heard it was just to enter from that path. The only person I know of for certain that requires specific clothing is when you find the church gal in Hypogean Gaol. Already had the chest piece on, but had to put on the rest before she talked to me.
