  2. I'm seriously thinking of getting it in the morning. They're offering a normally full retail game as well as some time in PlayStation Plus for no additional charge.
  3. I've got friends doing the ALS ice bucket challenge now. I'm surprised it has gone so far, but I happen to notice quite a bit of people not going over what ALS is, a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's disease.

Some people in California are now complaining about the ice bucket challenge making the drought worse... and they quote a satire article with an INSANE amount of water used. Somewhere along the line of 33(0?) million gallons in California.

I saw on the local news a dealership used a front loader filled with over a thousand gallons of water to douse their employees, which I found funny considering out west in my state there are pools that couldn't open this summer and bans on fireworks because of the drought.

  4. So just found out GameStop is doing a Sony Weekend Event. Started on the 18th and lasts until the 24th of this month (so not really a weekend). Some PS4 games on sale with a few PS3 stuff too. However the main appeal is that if you purchase a PS4, you get a free digital copy of Infamous: Second Son and 3 months of PlayStation Plus. This is all at it's regular retail value of $399.99.
  5. You know me, I'm definitely sexist. Damn female reproductive system and its monthly cycles with the feminine hygiene market. ... Wait, how am I sexist?
  6. I'm excited for it, and you know it's going to be Day One for a lot of people. I mean that also because one thing that sucks about currently playing Dark Souls II this far out after launch is that most invasions and PvE are with highly leveled players. Not to mention it can be hard to summon and be summoned with the lower activity. I wonder what kind of online element Bloodborne with have to it. We see you have an ally when fighting the wolf monsters, but that might be in-game and at random times. I sorta hope this strays a bit further from both Demon and Dark Souls in mechanics, though there's nothing inherently wrong with it. Wonder if we'll have any kind of magic. I do love me some Pyromancy!
  7. I've actually been trying to not read or even see anything relating to all this drama, but we're at the online crusade level here guys. People have saddled their horses and are riding over hilltops with banners waving in the wind seeking the fabled witch to burn at the stake. I was reading a few comments at first, and I saw a few people with the same sentiment as we do here. They all got the same response of, get this, "weeding out the corruption and evil present in game development and journalism." Yes, and if we let this blow over, we are letting evil triumph over truth. In the end, I guess what we can take away from all of this is don't cheat on your boyfriend with a gaming journalist. Why? Well, apparently all of gaming will crumble at the weight of your lone misdeeds. Truly a loose vagina is comparable to that of Cthulhu's maw.
  8. Amazon Customer Service is really good, in my experience. I've had to call a few times and the only major one was when my "The Last of Us: Survival Edition" (you know, an actual limited edition) didn't arrive and I saw in the tracking it arrived in town, but immediately was sent back. Ultimately I believe UPS broke it. The "Return to Sender" status was a few minutes after it was "Received by Carrier." Went in-between who was telling the truth and who was lying, but I figured since the UPS guys were so damn defensive, I assume they figured someone did it on their end but obviously didn't want to admit it. Amazon offered to attempt to send out another copy, but I thought it would be nearly impossible to find one so I took my money back and got a leftover pre-order copy from GameStop.
  9. Well, I guess technically you're right. I'd rather not without a good reason, and scary ghosties staring at you in the distance seems "legit to shit" as it were.
  10. I swear, with all these reactions to P.T., it's enough to throw down $400 for a teaser. Of course there's games and junk to get, but I would seriously play a "I pooped myself" game first if it's as good as people are raving online.
  11. I feel like now people can be okay with a horrible fate for the Red Lotus. Everyone was warming up to them as characters, but man, this episode was like them farting in your face after a nice helping of Taco Bell.
  12. I now see why people get so annoyed by hashtag activism. 1. Create/hijack hashtag 2. Link to a bunch of single topic websites 3. Throw out ad hominen until you feel you've changed minds and made the world in your image.
  13. I'm going to come right out and say I couldn't get through that Tumblr blog. It's just... ugh... To the point, I wasn't sure what to make of Sarah. I never hated her, but there's no denying she made it tough for Clem. That was the whole point of Sarah's character to be honest; how far will you go to protect someone? Jane brought up the point that you can be brought down with groups, which I think was fully shown in the same episode. So, back to Sarah, I wasn't sure if she had a mental disability or if she was a product of disillusion in this new world. I mean, we're talking about making a girl think things are the way they've always were, but then Walkers show up and your whole world is shattered immensely. Clem and everyone else experienced the fall of the world first hand with no filter. Carlos never fully explained if she really had a problem or if he was just keeping an overprotective facade to keep Sarah calm. If anything it might be both, but I don't think we'd ever be able to pinpoint what was Sarah's disability and if it was really what made it difficult to keep Sarah, well...
  14. So video game stuff happened. What stuff should I care about (as I was gone the whole day).

You can virtually pass the DS4 in new PS4 firmware, play couch co-op online and have friends play for you.

Until Dawn is back so spooky.

Tearaway coming to PS4. Ethan cried.

Resogun people are making new PS4 game called Alienation.

Guy who made Rayman is making a PS4 exclusive called Wild. It looks... really good. Open world size of Europe, you can play as any animal. There's giants. You can ride eagles. So cool.

New Silent Hill from Kojima and Daryl.

New Silent Hill - Silent Hills -- from Kojima *and* Guillermo del Toro, starring Norman Reedus. Important distinction there.

  15. Dark Souls 1 didn't really beat me other than I wasn't quite able to get the "fix" going and the lack of an online component really does take away from the overall experience. Hell, there's a lot of games I have to get back to, but I would say two games that genuinely beat me were Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and X2: Wolverine's Revenge. For Bounty Hunter, it was because there was a jungle level that went on forever and if you died you had to pretty much do the whole thing over. I got near the end once, but was shot down by a horde of enemies before reaching the checkpoint. That's when I shelved the game. For Wolverine's Revenge, it was a game that primarily relied on stealth rather than pure character action gameplay. Levels would have exact stealth paths, so a lot of it was trial and error on finding the proper path to navigate through the entire level. About one of the final levels you needed to navigate through tight security in a prison for mutants. Giant robot sentries and so forth, so if you got caught once you were pretty much dead. No, really, because you couldn't defeat a group of those robots no matter how skilled you thought you were at the game. I dunno, maybe someone will prove me wrong, but I never did get to face off against Lady Deathstrike or whatever the game ended on for Wolverine.
  16. Eh, I'll admit it was awesome. Just, eh, I'm not a fan of those kind of powers and/or weapons. The wielder just standing there while there's a "fight."
  17. The reviews are pretty poor for the film, but what I've been hearing is that it's average. If I still lived near a "dollar theater," I'd wait until it arrived there to see it on a big screen. I've been thinking lately of just buying the Blu-ray movie collection to tide my TMNT urge.
  18. Finally got to see Guardians of the Galaxy! Super awesome! I'll have to let the hype settle to properly gauge it among my list of Marvel movie. A lot of quotable moments and great action, though my one complaint would be that the antagonist wasn't that stellar compared to the likes of other Marvel movie villains. Otherwise, I'll have to look into pelvic sorcery if I get the soundtrack. P.S. Anyone think Merle's telepathic arrow was a bit cheap? No skill, man... NO SKILL!
  19. Not everyone is a fan of Pocket Pool, Wally. Those games tend to be hustles for poor saps willing to try their hand at the game.
  20. The episode was leaked either Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Not to mention Nick went full retard and had two animated gifs of two spoilers ahead of the episode. The artist, Neodusk, has a ton more amazing LoK comics on his deviantART.
  21. Dude, dude, dude... spoilers If you look at Fire Lord Zuko, you can definitely see how frail he has become in his old age. People were complaining how Zuko wasn't throwing out master level moves when facing the Red Lotus members, but I have to imagine tossing fireballs is one of the few things he can still do. I'm sure back in ATLA that Bumi was the only White Lotus Master that was over 90 years and could physically perform master level bending whereas Paku was probably in his 70's at most.
  22. All the fixes look good, especially the placement of Highlight Reel and Next Race. Might have to hop on next month and try more online racing, but Mario Kart 8 is now a local multiplayer game in my library.
  23. New episode today if anyone forgot, and like I said in my status, it's serious business. The Red Lotus is this enigma of an antagonist group. Zaheer isn't outright imposing, though this mostly stems from his motive of taking away authority and power, much like Amon had done in Republic City. He'll casually allow for conversation at times, but only when it is befitting for him. His team has these curious traits, like Ghazan is rather relaxed and Ming-Hua has a tendency to perch herself higher when the team is sitting down. It takes you back to when Azula and her friends were given actual character and you could sympathize with them. Though honestly we haven't seen too much reason to be completely sympathetic towards them as Zaheer just keeps on hinting about having plans for the Avatar. He goes on about giving the people freedom, but it feels like if anyone was to stand in his way, even a common person, he'd have no problem taking them out. I don't see the group having a conflict like Azula's team, but I'm hoping for some kind of revelation in the next episode given our assortment of character at the Misty Palms Oasis. And I know people want Bolin to lavabend, but there has been too much build up for Bolin to metalbend. Sifu Toph just has to come swiftly riding on a mountain and slap some knowledge into him.
  24. They're not hipster, just popular online (and mostly IRL) as far as dog breeds can get over cats. But I did have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi before they were cool. The thing is, the person below me doesn't have any pets, but wishes they had one or a few.
  25. Bayonetta 2? Wouldn't even have the game if Nintendo wouldn't have been the publisher. And I swear, if any of you have a Wii U and don't own The Wonderful 101, get it now. No, you think you can just blow off this post now and go back to eating pasta and/or watching sports, or maybe ordering some weird junk off Amazon. You know you need to get The Wonderful 101 because while you're not sure why, the knowledge you hold within yourself tells you it's a part of you.
