  1. You're not streaming the game code, you're streaming video of the game being run on some Sony servers somewhere, like how the Vita streams from the PS4. As long as the game runs on Sony's servers it will also run on your PS4 or your Vita or your Sony TV or whatever device Sony decides to make a streaming client for. You may run into latency/bandwidth issues, but there shouldn't be any compatibility issues.
  2. Ultimately the idea is to get bigger games running natively on SteamOS though, not just rely on streaming.
  3. I actually would have kind of liked if they'd played with that in the game, having things in different relation to each other depending on where you need to go or what part of the story you're at.
  4. Wow, that in-line ad at the end of that article is awful. *Edit* - To provide some sources for Goh's statement about sales, Xbone has sold "over 3 million units", PS4 has sold 4.2 million.
  5. I had to click on it just to find out what it is. It's a game called League of Angels, which appears to be some F2P CCG.
  6. Super Street Fighter X Turbo Hyper Ultimate Edition. Squared.
  7. Ah, so it's "International" because it's an updated Japanese version that incorporates changes made in the foreign localizations. That actually makes sense.
  8. I actually didn't even realize anything was ever officially titled the "International" version anywhere. I thought it was just a term used unofficially to describe differences between various versions.
  9. No it doesn't. The engine's shaft is already turning at a right angle to the direction the chain is turning, so they have to be using some kind of direction-changing linkage to get the blade to move that way anyway. Just take that same linkage but put it on its side and the only change would be which way the blade is moving, in all other ways it would be mechanically identical.
  10. Just saying, it's not as ridiculous to call a Europe-only release "international" as it is to call a Japan-only one that.
  11. Yeah, but you could fix that by changing the linkage between the blade and the engine; have the blade on its side and the engine still upright.
  12. I actually like that one better. I mean yes, it's ridiculous, but at least it has a little more personality. Also, I cannot stress enough how off-putting that mint green light on the first one is to me. *Edit* - To be clear, I don't /like/ either one.
  13. The whole idea behind the Play-Create-Share initiative is players creating and providing the content to each other, so it's not /that/ far removed from things they've already done. You don't necessarily have to monetize the player content itself if you use it as an enticement for people to buy the software.
  14. I bet you could rig that chainsaw with some kind of stand that would let it swivel side to side and use it to chop down trees. Also:
  15. I played them all on Xbox at/near their releases (played DA on both Xbox and 360), and loved them all. So yeah, there was a really obvious change to Conviction, but I hadn't really noticed the much more gradual change from SC1->DA until I went back to try to play SC1 again.
  16. The shape is certainly better for sticking under a TV, but everything else about the design is awful.
  17. Yeah, it's hideous. The color of the LED is the worst part about it.
  18. If it's Japan only in what sense is it the international version?
  19. I tried to play the original when the HD version came out on PS3, but the levels were just SO SLOW. I was bored out of my mind. I actually have all of them except for Pandora Tomorrow on PC now. Maybe I'll try again in the future. *Edit* - Wait, I had them when I tried the PS3 version too, I just didn't want to have to play with a kb/m.
  20. Seemed Splinter Cell-y to me. I dunno, it gave me a reason to sneak through various buildings and knock dudes out. *Edit* - I mean, there were parts of the story that seemed silly and overly action-action-blam-blam, but the gameplay itself was fun and I liked the levels and the plane hub system.
  21. I'm actually thinking about selling the PS3 version after downloading the Vita one.
  22. My first entry of the year: Splinter Cell: Blacklist. It was great, a real return to form for the series. I'm sad it's over. Makes me want to go back and play Double Agent again (unlike most people I actually really liked that one). The only thing about it that I don't like is that in the side missions if you fail you have to restart the whole mission, there's no checkpoints. Sure they're shorter than main missions, but imo they're still too long to not have checkpoints.
  23. Ah, I thought you meant you were having to put your hands on the controller weirdly.
