  1. Yeah, open/closed nature and better graphics. The only time I see people being elitist about controllers is in specific genres, like shooters, or specific games, like Skyrim, that just work better with a kb/m. For driving games, or 3rd-person action games, controllers are just better.
  2. Played Blacklist til 1 last night, then woke up at 7 for some reason. THANKS OBAMA!

My uncle asked my cousin and I to go buy eggs today. THANKS OBAMA.

OBAMA...when you need an energy boost with out the risk of becoming a Republican! *note There is still a chance you may continue doing the same deeds that Republicans employ. But you won't "be" a Republican.

  3. Holding the controller in what position? It's supposed to just be LT/RT for the action buttons, and the corresponding sticks for movement, so you shouldn't have to hold it in any special way.
  4. Yeah, there's no excuse for any game with a console version not to support a gamepad on PC.
  5. I wouldn't have put one in if I didn't already have this one. But it's not like I needed the drive bay or IDE slot for anything else.
  6. Ah, no, I figured it out. They never saw me, but they were alerted by having found someone unconscious. If you really get through without them ever knowing you were there at all, THEN it counts toward ghost.
  7. Yeah, 360 controller was easily the best until the DS4 came out, and its still at least on the same level as the DS4. Just because people don't like a console doesn't mean they can't acknowledge that it has a good controller.
  8. Completely unaware. Since then I've been paying more attention, and during the mission when I sneak by then the bonus pips up with the ghost symbol, but in the post-mission breakdown it assigns the points to panther.
  9. I decided I'm going to wait until I get some better stealth gear before trying those side missions, so now I've played the first two main missions and goddamn I'm loving it. Seems odd that sneaking by enemies without taking them out or being detected counts toward your panther score instead of your ghost score though. Not a problem, just weird.
  10. Anything with poppy seeds can. It only gives a false positive on the quick tests though, if they send it to an actual lab for verification they can tell the difference. *Edit* - Wait, no, poppy seeds give you a false positive for opiates, not THC.
  11. I'm still using the same DVD-RW drive I got for $20 when I built my first computer in 2005.
  12. Trine 2: The Complete Story is $2 on the Humble Store.
  13. I don't know about other states, but the DUI law in Kansas has a section making it illegal to operate or attempt to operate a motor vehicle while "under the influence of any drug or combination of drugs to a degree that renders the person incapable of safely driving a vehicle". Even legal/validly prescribed drugs.
  14. I hate talking on the phone, but have no problem with text-based communication. I also don't mind voice chat in games. On the phone I feel like there's an obligation to keep a continuous conversation, but with text or game voice it's not a problem if you go silent for a few minutes.
  15. Ah, you said "grossly expensive on making it yourself" which I understood to mean "making it yourself is grossly expensive", implying the pre-packaged spreads are cheaper. Your way makes a lot more sense.
  16. Yeah, that's what I meant, cheaper per ounce or whatever. I'm also perfectly willing to accept that the increased cost of the premade stuff is worth avoiding the hassle of making it yourself (I love me some frozen pizza), I was just surprised at the idea of it being cheaper.
  17. Yeah, I've heard of coronation chicken, but not chicken tikka, and I don't know what either one is. Also, how is it cheaper to get it pre-made? That's almost never the case over here, you're nearly always better off getting the ingredients and making it yourself.
  18. Mayonnaise is the one common condiment I flat will not eat. It's disgusting. I don't especially love mustard, but I can live with it, but mayonnaise? I'm sending that shit back if it's a restaurant, otherwise I'm looking for something else to eat. As far as quick sandwiches go, I'll just do something simple like turkey and cheese or peanut butter and jelly if I'm in a hurry. Though I have seen pre-mixed PB&J jars at the store, which is just
  19. I thought the US was the capital of disgusting pre-packaged foods.
  20. Well then I think we have a new term for this thread: clammy must mean something different. In the US clammy means cold and moist. As far as how eating bread doesn't gum up your mouth, either you make sure to fully swallow before taking the next bite or you have a drink handy to help wash it down.
  21. I made a moose out of a picture of our Christmas tree. It looked like one of those Hubble photos. It was pretty cool. For the rest of the game I had space moose all over the place.
  22. Idk, it just... doesn't happen... Also, what about making your mouth clammy? I'm not sure I even understand wtf you're talking about. How would butter stop that anyway?
