  1. I think it should be standardized, and a link to the manual for every single game should be either here: or here: Preferably the first one. For those of you who have not used a PS4, that second one is a picture of the menu that comes up if you hit the Options button on the game tile.
  2. Oh, is it not on the disc? *Edit* - This shows how utterly immersed in tech I am: I had a fleeting thought that "oh well, even if their PS4 isn't connected to the internet they can just look up the manual on their phone"
  3. Well that's an entirely sensible location for it. I looked in that area, I just must have missed it somehow. *Edit* - It would be nice though if there were a prominent spot that all PS4 games had it, like the little icon at the top of the launch window for Vita games. You always know right where to go for every game, so there's no confusion, and it's easily visible. Like if directly under the game pane, where it has Overview, etc, one of those buttons was just "Manual", where you couldn't miss it.
  4. Most US TV shows are actually filmed at 24 fps though, and that doesn't seem to be an issue. I think the issue is that more UK TV shows are recorded on video tape rather than actual film (at least more of the ones I've watched are), which leads to the Soap Opera Effect for people who aren't used to watching things that were recorded at the higher framerate. It's an issue with the filming framerate, not the broadcast framerate, and is why a lot of people didn't like the HFR in the Hobbit, and don't like motion smoothing TVs.

  6. I think limiting output to 50 Hz whenever TV content is on screen is the obvious solution.
  7. Well apparently the Guerrilla Games director said on Twitter that it has a digital manual, but I can't for the life of me find it. *Edit* - In his tweet he said an "online manual" accessible from your PS4. I was able to find a manual on the Playstation website, so I wonder if that's not the one he was talking about, and that it's accessible through your console web browser. If so that's disingenuous to say the least. Especially considering there's no apparent link to it in the game.
  8. In Assassin's Creed it's in the in-game pause menu under Animus Database. As far as I can tell Killzone doesn't have one.
  9. I hope they don't abandon it, cause that would leave Sony essentially without competition.
  10. But if you're already getting the console for other reasons, then getting multiplatform games for it is cheaper than also upgrading your PC.
  11. The fact that they're coming out on PC does not negate the fact that they are also coming out on console.
  12. Yeah, most games didn't actually use it, which is why they did away with it, but both the DS3 and 360 pad had pressure sensitive face buttons. I can't find anything on whether the Xbone has analog face buttons or not.
  13. Well, you have to buy them with in-game money. It's just you can buy the in-game money with real money, so if you're super impatient you could spend $50 on the season pass and then another $2700 to get enough in-game money to unlock the cars.
  14. I tried to look at their friends to see if we have any in common, but their friends aren't publicly viewable. @Vecha: I agree that's a good idea. The only reason I personally don't do that is because my username pretty much everywhere is TheMightyEthan, and I feel like a friend request that says "TheMightyEthan has sent you a friend request: this is TheMightyEthan" isn't terribly informative.
  15. Is kidhero99 anyone on here?

  17. Yeah, I can barely see a wisp of something if I stand up (so my head is over the monitor, and the contrast is different).
  18. Yeah, definitely disable auto-renewal, even if you want to renew, cause it puts you on the 3-month auto-renewal schedule which is slightly more expensive than renewing yearly.
  19. You have a 1 game backlog? How in God's name is that too much?
  20. The only part that irritated me in Killzone was the skydiving part toward the end.
  21. Also BDs are nearly impossible to scratch.
