Yeah, Wii U's load times are ridiculous. Even the improved speed, while obviously far better, is too slow imho.

I ran AC3 just fine (~45 fps in crowded cities, 60+ otherwise) on my GTX 470, if that helps anyone. *Edit* - That was on pretty much highest graphics, though I think only like 2x AA.

Both Kaidan and Ashley were terrible in ME2.
-
The idea of them upgrading their network security at some point in the game makes for a non-stupid reason why the hero might lose his abilities.

Through conversation you can change Ashley to not be a racist, but Kaiden is always a wimpy, boring douche. Also, just generally speaking, a character I dislike as a person is better than a character who's boring. The first one can at least be an interesting character, whether or not you would like them IRL.
-
Not really. I enjoyed the extra characters for the challenge maps, but Harley Quinn's Revenge was pretty meh. Also, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the DLC?

Kaiden is such a wimpy, boring little douche. "Ooh, I never boned that chick I liked when I was a teenager because feelings!" MAN UP!

No no no! Snape is the Catalyst.

Generally speaking I'm only available on weekends. *Edit* - Not to say you guys can't set up a time without me.
-
I hate it when people use "gameplay" when really they mean "in-engine".

Cheapest tactic: right at the very beginning select all your workers and run them to the enemy base to attack. Zerg workers are strongest, Protoss workers are weakest.
-
Yeah, if you have HotS and want to play WoL multiplayer it's just a toggle in the options.
-
Um, I wouldn't say toss are easy for beginners. They're the slowest to get an army built so it's really easy to get roflstomped 6 minutes into the game. There are some features that are n00b-friendly though, like the fact that the buildings basically build themselves so you don't have to have workers tied up building them.
-
1999 would be installing from a disc and then having to dick around with the game files for 6 hours because the game doesn't like your specific hardware setup for some reason, and you can't just download a driver update to fix it.
-
Yeah, 1v1 is more stressful, I prefer larger teams.
-
Whenever I'm playing Protoss I always hotkey a probe to 0 so that whenever I want to build stuff I just hit 0 and have my little probe. Don't need more than one since the portals let you build a bunch really fast with just one worker.
-
AFAIK you have to wrangle them with the mouse.
-
It may have been easy but goddamn do I love playing Zerg.
-
We need to get some games arranged, so who's interested? Also, post whether you have HotS or just WoL. I've got HotS.
-
Yeah, and it's not as hard as you might think. I almost responded to FLD's post saying that it reinforced how much I suck cause I don't use shortcuts, but then I realized I actually do use shortcuts a lot. The one thing I'm bad about is expanding to another base. I think the single most takeaway from this though is to build multiple unit-construction buildings if you find yourself queuing up dudes.

Hmm, I don't think I've done a renegade run of ME3 yet, that will have to be my next one. Renee Shepard, punches reporters every chance she gets.
-
Yes, because Youtube's system is so effective at keeping out bad comments.
-
I've made it to the tech level of giant mechs, but I don't think I've ever actually built one because they're not great against cities and by that point in the game if I have a massive army it's because I'm trying to conquer the world.

July 9 in the US, July 12 everywhere else. Crossing those internet oceans takes a while, presumably because they have to take longer routes to avoid pirates. *Edit* - Also, apparently that thing about it having XCOM units is official, and not a mod like I assumed.
-
Okay, so a vast majority of people do prefer Ashley over Kaiden, which means it's you guys who are the weirdos, not me.
