I don't think it was anything like that. It was like when I gave the game control inputs it didn't quite do what it should have. It just moved wrong. Mouse acceleration could potentially explain it on PC, but I don't know about 360.

PXOD Secret Santa 2012 -- Targets Assigned!

No, that's pretty much it. There's also a wishlist thread here for non-steam wishlists, but picking something of their Steam wishlist is fine. -
The weirdest thing was that it felt wrong on both 360 and PC, and I've played plenty of other 360 shooters with no problem. Whatever, it was an entirely subjective thing and I don't claim that it makes the games objectively bad in any way, I just couldn't personally deal with it well enough to play them.

PXOD Secret Santa 2012 -- Targets Assigned!

What's the "gifting ends" deadline? The Steam sale often runs into January, but if it's a Christmas thing it might be sensible to put in a cutoff. -
Apparently it came out in Australia yesterday (29th). *Edit* - Also, given this page exists, there's definitely a Steam version. It's probably like AC3 though, where the Steam version still launches Uplay, from which you must launch the game.

PC and 360 for Bioshock, PC for Metro. The aiming/movement felt off.

Ended up getting it but initially I figured it would be cheaper to just wait for the christmas sale and get the Full Package edition with all the DLC. Yeah, I hadn't considered that aspect. *Edit* - I was in the same situation with Metro 2033 I had with Bioshock: I wanted really really bad to like it, and I tried really really hard, cause the atmosphere was amazing, but in the end the controls just felt way too wrong and I couldn't make myself do it.

God that art is beautiful. I'm a sucker for hand-drawn stuff. My wife thinks I'm retarded because I keep commenting on how gorgeous Scribblenauts Unlimited is.
-
AFAIK Origin works basically like Steam in that regard.
-
Saints Row The Third is great, it's worth it just to get that one game for cheap.
-
Holy motherfucking shit. I would totally buy that if I didn't already own every game in it.

Apparently someone is driving a tractor around a couple hundred years earlier than they should be.

It's mildly frowned upon, but as long as you're not doing it constantly/spamming then you're fine. My rule of thumb is that if it's within a couple minutes I'll edit my original post, but if it's been longer than that I'll make a new one. Also, if the new comment is unrelated to the previous one then I'm more likely to make a new post, but if it's related then I'm more likely to edit. -
As an American, with the different political baselines that entails, this part jumped out at me. Interesting.

This. So much this.

I'd like Super Mario Galaxy 2 but it's still MSRP for $50 which means even used it's like $30 and I can't bring myself to pay more than $20.

Gaming Tropes There Should Be More Of

Agreed, though it can sometimes get really frustrating when someone who should be healing you just isn't for no apparent reason. -
Hopefully publishers will get the idea from this that maybe people like new things. Doubt it though. And I know that for every successful new IP like this there are a bunch that fail, but I feel like most of the ones that fail are pretty obviously not going to be good right from the start.

What are you talking about? I've certainly never heard of anyone with a substance abuse problem letting the rest of their life slip into hell just to continue feeding the addiction.

Site appears to be down. What did it say?

EA needs to just take Medal of Honor out back and shoot it.

Yeah, I just watched this last weekend and this is the perfect thread for it. Though I will say that him smashing the alarm clock was pretty much the greatest thing that ever happened.

As did I. *Edit* - Related: Steam needs a better Recommendations section. It only recommends like 10 games to you. I have like 300 games on my Steam account, it should be able to compile a pretty good list of games I might like. -
If you add them through Miiverse won't it send them a notification? Idk, is that different than going into your profile/friend settings or whatever?

Comparison of the Wii U version of Blops2 against the other console versions. Summary: Visuals look as good as the 360 version, but the framerate is super inconsistent. Hard to say how much of that is the Wii U hardware's fault, how much is the dev's lack of familiarity with that hardware, and how much is just that they haven't had as much time to optimize it for the hardware.
