  2. http://www.amanotakashi.net/portfolio/nature_aquarium/index.html Really likes his fishtanks.
  3. World at War - Cliffside Black Ops - Hazard. It's DLC for the Black Ops map too. :/
  4. Oh? Anywho:
  5. Bulletstorm was very good. Hope to see more like it.
  6. Fuch I was kinda kidding on the "drop the language" bit. Also Britain is still very stuck in it's ways of keeping our imperial measurements. As for the accents stuff I was more getting at the "Americans sound like what British used to sound like 300 years ago" I'm aware that there's regional variations, just as we have cockney, scouse n geordie. And regarding the hugh laurie video...check the front page
  7. See I'd have thought it'd have had more of an impact if you guys were to boycott the language or measuring systems. Or the accent since... Actually I'm gonna ask on this one: In the past few months I've had to put to me (maybe not always directly) that the "American accent" is actually what the welsh/British accent sounded like 300 years. Is that just people trolling or is it something that Americans truly believe. Cos I find it pretty fucking absurd that people would: 1) Think there is any such thing as an "American accent" (or even a "British Accent") 2) That for some inexplicable reason the "British Accent" evolved and changed over the centuries, yet the "American accent" stayed the same. This is considered bad?
  8. What I don't get is why Bethesda are going after Mojang over Scrolls when they're currently making and selling a heavily moddable game where you traverse through mountains and marshes, crafting potions, fending off enemies with your bow, fleeing dragons and passing through scary otherworldly portals, chatting with NPCs and gaining XP as you do all this. And this game comes out 11.11.11
  9. I see you posting 'round the net 'bout that Dark Souls game and I'm like Fuck You ooo-ooo-ooo..
  10. Right see I'm fuzzy on this one. Cos ripping DVD films and CD music to another system/format is perfectly fine. Why does that stop with games? (Or is it that Video games Exceptionalism that so often crops up)
  11. Well it's the longest running sci-fi show of all time. Longest character would be hard to judge though. Bond started in 53 with the books, making it 10 years older. But that'd be cheating as any book could beat it. Bond films...Dr No was '62 making it one year older than the TV series. (So I guess either way it's older, but by books you bring in tons of other stuff)

  13. So got bored: First Doctor: 103 Second: 91 Third: 93 Fourth: 77 Fifth: 60 Sixth: 68 Seventh: 68 Eight: 51 Ninth: 47 Tenth: 40 Eleventh: 28 Apart from two slight blips, though it's being consistent for the latter half, he's being getting younger not older. I knew the recent three were definite but McGann was young and so long ago so wasn't sure could stretch to four, but it was close call. The series has being running for 48 years. Fuck that's a damn long time. Whoever said "wait, let's kill him off, but have him come back as a different actor. Put it down as some alien thing.. regeneration or something" was one of the greatest TV minds of all time. Creating both a sound explanation that fits with the show and in indefinitely extending the life of the show far beyond anything else.
  14. So I'm guessing that PC port isn't coming any time soon? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/113491-Team-Bondi-Officially-Liquidated http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/113540-Team-Bondi-Employees-Owed-Over-1-Million

It's taken you this long to notice? I've pointed it out a few times in Gdocs. I've not done it for months now. *is proud*

  17. Fuck yeah Falcor/Charizard. Anywho:
  18. https://twitter.com/#!/CaseyDHudson/status/122430088221425665 You know not so long ago this would be asking about what content to actually put in the damn game.
  19. Now you see where the "it's not tough enough" comes from. "Minutes" doesn't enter it when it comes to a UK cuppa (unless you're making a teapots worth).
  20. Ah have we not mentioned this before? Basically the american national grid isn't tough enough. Unless they wire the kettle up to the cooker they only get 120V which is half that of ours. They can't physically boil a kettle. At least without it taking ages and ages. So a pot on the hob works much faster. It's one of the major factors attributed to the fact Americans aren't into their tea as much as we are. We can make a cuppa much easier and faster. However on the inverse they do have much more coffee/espresso makers than we do. (Unsure on the science behind those working and kettles not. Cos it's pressurised/smaller amount?)
  21. Well, this goes back to my point about entitlement. You're not paying for enjoyment, you're paying for entertainment. Content providers can't please everyone but they try. If you put on a show and people don't like it and they all refuse to pay for it you'd be frustrated because you tried to entertain and you put in the work. You can't guarantee you're going to be entertained but you should still compensate those that put the time and effort into trying. It's why you buy your tickets before the show and not after. So a consumer with entitlement is wrong but a provider with entitlement is a-okay? No, that's not how it works. Effort =/= reward. You can write out a 10,000 word essay but if it's a pile of shit you can get an A for effort but you're still not getting that diploma. You make a game that's taken you 13 years. If it's a pile of poop then nope you get nothing for it "just because". Also I want to know why: Renting = okay Demo = okay Pirate = wrong. All for the purpose of testing a game. (I'll agree with all of you, pirating for keeps is wrong, this is purely for testing as many of us do here. Though occasionally you seem to slip into the realm of "all pirating is for keeps" which means slipping into "you are all lying" too) Is it because it's illegal? Cos laws can change and surely there's laws you disagree with? Used to be illegal for blacks to marry whites. Obviously there were people against it or the laws wouldn't change. I've kinda fallen back on the overall back n forth on the past few pages but I don't think you've yet stated why you thing it's absolutely wrong. Neither attributing it to personal morals or to the law. Thursday is clearly up for the whole law side, though I think he might disagree should tomorrow it suddenly become perfectly legal to pirate. Whereas you... dunno.
  22. Not necessarily. The entertainment industry would make less money if people only paid for the content that they thought was good so it's not good for content providers. And? Why should they be rewarded for bad content? The content providers rights do not extend to being paid for content no matter what.
  23. So I'm hearing the co-op play in this is pretty fucked up. I'm sure I remember mentioning that it going from just PSN to XBL too would lead to some issues :/
