Does this count as beating a game?
-
If you add them through Miiverse won't it send them a notification?

Dean, any possibility of getting Wii U usernames below our postcounts like PSN and Gamertags?

AC3 was probably my favorite game of 2012 (I have yet to play through most of Dishonored). HOWEVER that said... in the early missions I found combat difficult, usually because I lost track of Connor, the fights were just too busy with too many enemies at once. That said, I do believe Ubisoft did a great job at improving combat, I'd always avoid combat in the Ezio games, but I really found myself enjoying it in AC3, once I got good at it. They also did a good job of taking that same system and putting it into Liberation. The thing with Liberation is some features, like whistling from hiding spots, is strangely missing.

At one point I just had to say "fuck it" to the AC3 full sync. However, Liberation, so far, has had really easy full syncs... most of the time I'd get it without even trying. Except for the one where you have to tilt the Vita to nudge the ball throw a maze and into a hole. That was singlehandedly my worst gaming experience of 2012. A tip to developers NO ONE, wants to do those types of minigames. No one wants to hold their system up to a bright light to solve a puzzle. I've had to do that in two separate games, and guess what, BOTH times there was no bright light near me. Using the touch screen to access menus, or gently moving the system to tweak aiming (like in Uncharted Golden Abyss) is fine. But shoe horning game mechanics that have no place in the game is BULLSHIT. FUCK!!! I need to go cool down.

Traded in my duplicate copies of various 360 games... Dragon Age, Fallout, Arkham Asylum, that sort of thing. Due to Black Friday (which is apparently a thing in Canada now) prices, I ended up getting almost 80 dollars in credit, so I picked up... With my left over credit I got... (It was on sale...).

GOW 1+2 are good, only problem is the cutscenes aren't in HD. Everything else looks great though, especially the second game.

I feel like I'm just scratching the surface with this game but a few early thoughts... I started off with Drake's storyline, who I enjoyed playing as. Then I tried Raiden... a million times better. Practice Mode is a good way to get trophies. People online are significantly better than me. Playing a free for all with three other people on the Vita screen is hard to do, other wise it's nice having the Vita option. I wish the game either shared a trophy list like Retro City Rampage or trophies carried over like Sound Shapes / MGS Collection.

Excel, good haul! I really want DQ6 but it's still 30 dollars everywhere :-\

Finally got my hands on PS All-Stars.
-
I've had P3P for ages now. I even bought it again a few months ago digitally to have on my Vita. I need to accept that I'm not ever going to play through it.
-
The free FFT will work for PSP if you still have one of those laying around.

Man that ending had me

Valkyria Chronicles, I haven't played too much of it but people who have flip their shit over it.
-
I picked up my copy of Persona 4, but after I left I realized the douchebag didn't give me my decal for preordering. Fortunately I have to back tomorrow because they only got 6 copies of All Stars and had 12 pre-orders. This EB Games is usually so reliable

The guys covered most of everything I'd say... so I'll throw out 3D Dot Game Heroes if you like old school Zelda. Also I can not stress enough how great The Unfinished Swan is.
-
Couldn't you just buy 50 dollar PSN cards and purchase PS+? Unless you're trying to give plus to a friend...

I'm enjoying it. While I was joking about side scrolling Mario, it'll be nice to play some full console experiences off the screen, similar to the Vita. Nintendo Land is a TON of fun, I didn't really have high expectations but the second screen offers some unique multiplayer experiences. Unfortunately there's not a ton of games at launch that are interest me, and much like the Wii this will probably be a Mario/Metroid/Zelda only box but that's O.K. If you're in a position where 300-350 bones isn't that much to you, it's a good console to have. One thing I'd like to see changed is the handling of Wii/Wiiware/Virtual Console games. If you want to use any of those, you basically boot up an emulated Wii, meaning the tablet doesn't work, not even in the "Wii" menu, and definitely not to run NES/SNES games. I'd love to be able to stream Super Metroid to the tablet... maybe one day. EDIT: (Sorry Dean, I meant there was NO attitude..)
-
There was no attitude in that response, Dean!! I suppose it would have been better if I added in "Well with my 3DS and Vita, yes, but now I can play a sidescrolling Mario in bed!!! I haven't been able to do that since I beat New Super Mario Bros 2 a few months ago!"
-
I know. I was being a sarcastic douchebag.
-
Well with my 3DS and Vita, yes, but now I can play a sidescrolling Mario in bed!!!

Good news! I can have my Wii U downstairs and still use the gamepad on the floor above. This means gaming in bed!
