  1. I thought that GIF pretty much summed everything else but if I need to spell things out.... Oh look we're in San Francisco where there's tech companies. Look at all this tech! Wow! Hey check out this shitty song. Look another bland looking character with an iconic cap. Fuuuuccccckkkkkkk off. Watch Dogs 1 sucked and if they wanted to come back strong after it, this was not the trailer. I'm happy for you guys if you think it looks cool. I think it looks like a turd. Another uninspired modern open world game. I've played pretty much every Assassin's Creed game. I own their shitty Tetris game on Vita and PS4. One of my favourite games this year has been Far Cry Primal. I'm not an Ubisoft hater by any stretch. Watch Dogs is garbage though.

  3. SKYRIM! PS4! GOD IS REAL AND HE HIS GOOD! Do you guys think this PS4 remaster could have mod support like Fallout 4??
  4. Honestly I'd probably just save up for the Apple but my house needs a new roof sometime soon and that shit is gonna cost me 6Gs. Can I get something decent in the 400-600 dollar range? Any brands I should avoid? I've been seriously ignorant of anything PC related in the past decade. Windows 9? 10? Vista?!
  5. With a heavy heart I have to announce that my early 2011 MacBook Pro is slowly dying on me. When I bought it, I was still living at my parent's place, with more disposable income than I knew what to do with. These days I'm a home owner and it's harder to justify the price of a MacBook, so I'm considering..... getting a PC laptop. While I love the superior Apple OSX and overall build of their devices, the PC, in addition to being cheaper does have some advantages, mainly in gaming and some customization. So what I'm looking for is a laptop mainly for internetting but also some gaming, mainly for indie games like Stardew Valley, Starbound, Minecraft, that sort of stuff, definitely no AAA gaming. Advice for someone who hasn't used a PC since September 2007?????

    X-Men

Here's how TCP would fix the X-Men franchise in 8 simple steps. 1) I wouldn't bring out a new ensemble X-Men film for at least 5 years. 2) I would make really smart casting decisions (like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool) for characters we haven't really seen before. 3) Couple these good casting decisions with the right directors and solid scripts and start releasing solo X-Men films (like Deadpool) once a year. 4) I'd have all the solo films be different types of films. Do another Deadpool movie that's a comedy. A Cable movie could be a war film. A Quicksilver film could be a coming-of-age film. Gambit could be a heist film (??? I don't know what you'd do with Gambit). Mix in characters that fans have been wanting like X-23. 5) Take all of your new solo X-Men pair them together in an X-Men film. See, movie goers have come to really enjoy these characters in their solo films, so bringing them together and seeing them interact will be part of the fun. 6) Keep Professor X as a Nick Fury type character but lay off Magneto, Wolverine, and Mystique. Do not have Professor X get kidnapped. Don't let villain's use cerebro for evil. Basically, stop repeating storylines 7) Pay really, really, close attention to your lore. Plan these movies out years ahead of time. Don't end a film with a character like Wolverine getting captured by Mystique and then not even have that be referenced in the next film. 8) Do sequel solo films, add in a few new heroes for their own solo films, combine together for a new X-Men film, and repeat. Spoilers: it's basically "do what Marvel did".
  7. Samsies. Though no spaces in my name. OH MAN! We should create a Press X or Die OT in the community section!!!!!!!
  8. Yeah I am. I actually read the post earlier but I didn't notice it was you until you posted the same thoughts here.
  9. Far Harbour. That was pretty good but much shorter than I was expecting. Hopefully the next DLC takes us someplace that's a bit more different to the Commonwealth. Have you considered making a thread on NeoGAF about this?

    X-Men

Damn, there was significantly more Jubilee in that video than in the movie. Jeeeeze. My update X-rankings: 1) Days of Future Past 2) First Class 3) Deadpool 4) Apocalypse 5) X2 6) The Wolverine 7) X-Men 8) The Last Stand 9) Literally anything else 10) Wolverine Origins
  11. X-Men: Apocalypse Pretty good, I went in with low expectations so I think that's why I didn't get disappointed. It didn't really feel like the end of the trilogy though, so I imagine they're going to do more. As a fan of the "classic" X-Men who aren't Wolverine, I left the theatre pretty happy. Scott is an actual character, not just a dick to Logan. Jean Grey is ok. Nightcrawler was pretty great. And of course Quicksilver was awesome, he has an even better scene than last time. As for Wolvie, his appearance would have been more impactful if it hadn't been spoiled by the trailer. Did you get excited for Jubilee? Well too bad, she's barely in it! Fuck I'm not even 100% sure if she had lines?? That leads to the film's biggest problem. There's probably too many characters. It's ok with some of the characters from previous films having a reduced storyline because we already know them, but Storm, Angel, and Psylocke really got short changed. Oh and Apocalypse's makeup looked just as bad in the theatre as it did in the trailers. My wife didn't even realize Oscar Isaac was in it until the credits, I had to explain who he was. But I still think it was better than the original films. It seemed to feel more like an X-Men team movie, more so than the original films which felt like Wolverine films and the last two movies which felt like Professor X and Magneto films.
  12. Ahaha are these people for real?
  13. What! The first Square Enix game to look promising in years. Excellent. I wish it was crossbuy. I'd want to play it mostly on the PS4 but it would be cool to take it on the go with the Vita.
  14. Anything Old Nan ever said is basically true.
  15. Be Here To Love Me I've been getting really into Townes Van Zandt lately. I always liked country music when it's authentic and not overly produced (I feel overly produced country music flies in the face of what country music is al about) and Townes' music is definitely very real. The guy who runs the record store I visit recommended this film to me and I'm glad he did. It's a documentary that focuses just as much on his music as his life, which after watching the movie I understand it's probably the only way you can do a movie about him since he didn't seem to care about much other than music. You leave the movie feeling bad for Townes, even if it sounds like he could be a bit of an asshole. Even if you're not into acoustic folky country rock, if you're interested at all in musician's who've lived interesting and unique lives, I recommend giving it a watch.
  16. My hot water tank died on the Saturday morning of a long weekend. No one's open to even give me a quote on a new one :'(

A windy 20-25C day is great. But I prefer 16-20C. I like cold weather. Fuck summer.

Also, I find it oddly refreshing seeing people talk about weather using something I can understand. I should really force myself to use F to get used to it so I don't have to do little conversions in my head.

I'm pretty sure Fahrenheit is on one of those maps that shows USA in red with a couple Indonesian islands. Over here 30C+ is pretty dang warm.

  17. UC3 definitely had some moments where there was a few too many waves of enemies. The ship yard and the ballroom scene come to mind. There's nothing like that in UC4. In fact, a lot of the big fight encounters can be totally handled with stealth kills or even sneaking past all your enemies.
  18. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Holy crap dat satisfaction. I'm almost tearing up over here. If it wasn't for my wife watching the end of the game with me I'd probably be balling like a baby. Anyways, probably the best Uncharted game, objectively speaking. I was very surprised at the lack of combat, especially because Naughty Dog nailed combat so well in this game, but that was fine. There's not much I can say that wouldn't be gigantic spoilers. Game of the year? Game of the year.
  19. DAAAAAAYUM! They need to bring it back for The Vita!
  20. Holy fuck the pace that this season is moving, lightning quick.
  21. Doing things in tiers is a good idea. S Rank: Guardians of the Galaxy Captain America: The Winter Soldier Captain America: Civil War The Avengers A Rank: Ant-Man The Avengers: Age of Ultron B Rank: Thor Thor: The Dark World Captain America: The First Avenger Iron Man Iron Man 3 C Rank: Iron Man 2 The Incredible Hulk
  22. The best PS3 Uncharted game is clearly UC3, for the record. I mean, UC1 to UC2 might have been a bigger for the franchise, but from a pure moment-to-moment gameplay level, UC3 reigns supreme. I can't comment on UC4 yet I haven't finished it, I'm savouring it, like the fine wine that it is.
