  1. Seriously Johnny play Skyward Sword. While they sacrifice stuff like many towns and major exploration, the story and characters are expanded.
  2. All of my friends with a PC that can handle these games are playing it in the PC. Why would you bother replaying Mass Effect 2 yet again if ME3 comes out in a month? You've already played ME2 on the PC, and honestly sticking it to EA is much less of a hassle to deal with than replaying the game yet again. Just play this game on the PC, then you probably won't have to look at Origin again for a long time.
  3. Birth By Sleep was ok but I don't like replaying the game over and over again to see the whole story.
  4. Who is this David Jaffe character? And how can he even make a statement concerning video games about how much he loves Apple? You mean the same Apple that designs a device, see where it can improve/what they can add to it from the beginning, so they can make yearly iterations of the device for years to come? The one that doesn't allow practically anything third party to do stuff for them? You know who is the Apple of video gaming right now? At least in terms of iterations with shit that should have been there to begin with? Capcom. Let's release a fighter game. Oh hey, next year let's add those characters we didn't feel like adding before, then charging like $40. People will think it's a bargain, when this could've easily been DLC for like 15 or so bucks. I understand that if Apple is doing anything right, it is user-experience. And at least the quote does state that. But I don't want ANYTHING Apple to do with my gaming. The ioS store is nice, but an iPhone has its limitations on gaming. If gaming is going from hypercomplex story rpg's to "tap the screen whenever you see a bump" games, then gaming would be devolving.
  5. It doesn't really spoil much. Like at all Ethan. It's basically 90% stuff that's too cryptic to understand whats going on, and the other achievements are thing you already expect for a Mass Effect game.
  6. To be fair, they're sitting on a gold mine of a new ip with The World Ends With You. Expand that into a Kingdom Hearts-like title, and you've got yourself another great IP.
  7. It IS true, and if at that point the publisher doesn't really need the profits from the game then hey all to it. But in a general sense, I would prefer they justify their piracy tactics for what it is really: free shit. It's not a statement against the man done by pirates. It's only really somewhat of a statement when the publisher/developer is outright pissing people off with DRM.
  8. So Chronicle was REALLY badass. Kind of slow at the beginning but holy shit if the last 20 minutes of the movie aren't worth the ticket price. THIS is as close as any American Akira will ever get. Go watch it if you like Akira.

Reviews do it justice. It is by no means a masterpiece, but people like us can really relate to the main character.

      "20:33 - Hawk: seen it

      20:33 - Hawk: too short

20:33 - Hawk: was not impressed"

Looks like I'm not seeing it.

I liked it. I'm a big Akira fan, and the movie is 85 minutes. Just the right length for a found footage films. it has an 85% in rotten tomatoes, which for a found footage film it is really good.

  9. I've never liked the excuse that the reason one pirates is because the developer won't be seeing shares from it. Similar to how people say the reason they don't buy music albums is because the artist won't see any profits from it. But you know, there are hundreds of thousands of people that get paid with the money those "publishers" make. They need to make this money to see whether to publish another title by this developer.
  10. Meh. Squeenix used to be THE developer of RPG's. The problem is that they've been trying to cater to western audiences with a lot of their published games, when they don't realize that a majority of that western audience doesn't want that. I'm not giving Squeenix credit for Eidos' line-up of great motherfucking titles that are coming out. I'll give them credit for their big games. FFXIII was a bad Final Fantasy game no matter how much people want to deny it, if a big portion of fans absolutely abbhored it, it was for a reason. A large part was due to how long the game was in development and how it didn't live up to expectations. I have a feeling Versus XIII will have a similar experience as in it has been overhyped way too long. It might be a badass game, but unfortunately the chances are it won't live up to the hype. To regain money for this game, they'll probably have to port it to the 360 as well. And now Kingdom Hearts. Square Enix is doing its motherfucking hardest to squeeze in as many fucking Kingdom Heart interquels and prequels before they eventually start on the third one. That is bullshit. They aren't even done with Versus XIII. What the fuck is taking them so long?
  11. Yeah I remember the first few videos of Alan Wake, they really kept mentioning how there would be day time/night time sequences where in the night you'd pretty much have to pray you found a spot with light. But then the whole story would've changed as they would have to take into account that people could just wait until it is daytime so they can go do a mission. I dunno. While I would like Alan Wake to have a big open map to explore secrets throughout the buildings and shit like that... I think it would have to be a sort of hybrid. Kind of like what LA Noire did. Have cutscenes to establish the current mission/setting, then let you loose in this open world. The night/day time won't change until you reach another cutscene or a specific event that warrants changing the weather/time
  12. It was a typo mate forgive me. I meant to say the full game. They have mainly only seen a few graphical bugs here and there.
  13. Again, people who have played the demo have seen no major issues with glitches/bugs. I believe I heard the demo itself is an early build of the game
  14. To be fair, every one of those developers has their decent share of shittastic gimmicky games, really bad shooters, and licensed titles. THQ just has less high rated titles because they focus a little bit TOO much of their resources on the above, and they unfortunately don't have the capital of the other major publishers to bring out AAA titles alongside these.
  15. There's a livestream going on right now in IGN if anybody is interested. http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/01/31/ign-live-presents-kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning?show=HD
  16. Breaking into the mainstream requires a lot of advertising. Considering that Darksiders did as well as it did by word of mouth, reviews, and fan hype alone I wouldn't be surprised if it gets snatched up by somebody else [if THQ inevitably fails]. I could see EA games with this.
  17. Darksiders has a strong potential to become a decently strong franchise. It sold about a million or more. But yeah THQ's down to fall is due more to the decisions made by the upper level people.
  18. they said the main story line is 30-40 hours. Which is really fucking good.
  19. Apparently the game has about 200+ hours of gaming. Developers said that even those they hired to test the game fully, who skip cutscenes and things of that sort, still took about 8 straight days to beat the game.
  20. A candy colored clown they call the Sandman. Tiptoes through my room every night. Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper, "Go to sleep. Everything is all right".

  21. There was once a man from Nantucket. He hated it there.

Well, Eastern Mass is full of Masshole liberals who think they know everything.

  22. Ahhhh I see where you're going now. I was thinking you meant that she would write a review, but I overlooked the other ways it could be a coi. Yeah that might be a problem, but I had no doubt in my mind the game was gonna get a 9-10 from IGN
  23. Well she's being put in the game as a journalist. She'll be the Kelly what's-her-face of this game, I'm more interested in party members and big characters. I'm not giving absolutes, I'm just saying probably. I don't have a problem with Chobot, but unless I have to deal with her as a party member I probs mcgots won't be interested.
