  1. I want to be excited for M9 and I kind of am, but I'm remaining cautious due to Inafune's known hard on for Megaman 2 as (which shows in MM9 and 10) whereas my preferred Classic series games are 8 and R&F (or MM&B if you'd prefer). I'm hoping that doesn't get in the way of what could potentially be a good game.
  2. On a related note: Edit: Whoops, forgot to add The Darkness (replaced my lost copy), Condemned (own the second one, liked the first one) and The Bourne Conspiracy (the demo was good, so why not).
  3. This makes me realize that I'll need to get a new switch pretty soon too with the new round of consoles coming out and my switch only having five ports in it, four of which are occupied. So like I said in a status update, I was going to pick up an elliptical machine and was waffling on whether or not to do it now or later. Roommate told me to not worry about and that if I need money for anything in-between checks (my next check is entirely for bills), he'd cover me. This guy is a bro.
  4. Baoh confirmed as DLC for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle? I desperately need this game so bad. SO BAD.

  5. Definitely four arms. Way more practical. It'd be a bitch to get shirts custom tailored, but at least you wouldn't have to hope you chance upon a chick with two vaginas because let's be real here, there's no way you could comfortably bang two chicks unless the second dick sprouted from somewhere more convenient than right by the original.
  6. Think I'll invest in some exercise equipment next month and make a genuine effort to get my fat ass into better shape. I'd do it now, but I sure don't want to live on $55 until the 14th of September.

I'm told elliptical don't put much stress on the knees and legs, so it seemed like a good fit.

Totally recommend the elliptical. I have a horrible back with pain running down both legs.

The elliptical helped me lose 40 pounds.

@FDS My pair of Brooks Pure Cadence 2 would disagree with you there.

  7. I guess Ubisoft is pushing the PvP and aiming for a DayZ kind of vibe (equipment and supply loss). Oh well, it's not like plenty of games haven't squandered their potential before.
  8. NewEgg customer service rep tried to tell me that the monitor I bought for $150 then dropped to $130 after I ordered it wasn't an Iron Egg product. I disagree: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7829048/ironegg.jpg

Spoilers: All my bookmarks are porn, disguised as real links people would use every day!

...Wait, that's not a very good plan.

      Mr. GOH!

To be fair, that LiveJournal bookmark is pretty damn embarrassing.

He even tried to hide it by calling it LJ.

  9. With the announcement that Kinect won't be required, I've pretty much run out of beefs to have with the Dogbox. So now I can say 'Yeah, I'll grab one in 2-3 years', only without any disgust in my voice.
  10. It's interesting, this isn't the first I've seen this mentality. There are those who would be THRILLED if Smash Brothers was taken away from it's progenitor so Sakurai would stop "ruining the franchise". And yes, a lot of the things that people didn't like in Metroid Other M came directly from Mr. Sakamoto, also known as the guy who made metroid. I tend to be unsympathetic to such views. Regardless of what product comes from it, I wish I lived in a world where games could be a reflection of individuals, and if those individuals change or were never happy with what everyone else thought of as a "masterpiece" then they should keep chasing that original muse. Better that these games release and are polarizing and reflect the auteurs who came up with them than that they get absorbed into the homogenized whole of Nintendo EAD. Sakamoto's only one third of Metroid though! There's still Satoru Okada (granted, he's stuck doing handheld stuff now) and Gunpei Yokoi (RIP!). I don't have a problem with the idea of a game being a reflection of an individual, but that also doesn't mean an individual should be immune to criticism or feedback from anyone else. If the rest of the team wanted to use the nunchaku in conjunction with the Wii remote while Sakamoto was needlessly adamant about 'the simplicity of only using the Wii remote', let the feedback from play testing speak for itself. Sometimes dumb ideas are just dumb and there's no excusing it. Based on the interviews floating around the interbutts, Sakamoto sounds like one of those guys who wants things his way and anyone who disagrees 'just doesn't understand his grand vision'. We all know how those guys tend to work out.
  11. I thought everything that was wrong with Other M, gameplay and otherwise, was all the fault of Sakamoto.
  12. But the sticker is also cursed!
  13. One thing I'm definitely sick of is being graded on my performance in games. More so if unlockables are tied to it.
  14. I personally thought Revolution and Evolution-R were pretty bad. It's sort of like a not-quite-perfect doppelganger. It knows the motions, but something is clearly off about them. My biggest beef is how much more flanderized every character is (I didn't think it was possible for Gourry to get dumber than he was) and how the plot itself is essentially recycled mixture of the first and second seasons of the original series. Something was also lost in the transition to digital coloring, but that's something I feel toward a lot of anime. All in all, Revolution/Evolution-R suffer from what I see as 'modern anime syndrome', I guess.
  15. Speaking of giant pairs of tits and mechas, one of my friends convinced me to watch Godannar. Though his warning was for me to 'turn my brain off' while I do so since I've got a low tolerance for wacky shenanigans and fanservice. At least, I do after they messed up my favorite series (RIP Slayers , you were the first anime I spent my own money on).
  16. From the sounds of it, Jon left the show for reasons unrelated to Arin or his lady friend. Given how people can be, it doesn't seem too unreasonable. That said, after a month of it, I gotta say that I enjoy Danny more overall, both in terms of his playing competency and his sense of humor. Not to say I didn't like Jon, but 'being loud and weird' is kind of grating sometimes.

I know, I know. I'm just being a snarky jerk (the most original thing on the internet!). So far, I haven't seen any dudes that I would be interested in any sort of romantic relationship with yet. Except Troy Baker's voice.

Mine was Straight / Flexamorous (did we really need a new word for polyamorous?). I love chicks and lots of them!
  20. I've had 4 360s, myself. The 60GB one that replaced the 20GB model. I didn't get the red ring, just the E74 error (which was covered under the same warranty) then I bought an Elite, which I sold to a friend after I got a Slim then a 250GB drive on the cheap.
  21. I don't care much for Wind Waker because of the sailing (it was slow and also really boring), the Triforce Hunt (which is made worse BY the sailing) and the fact that the whole game is basically 'Wait for Parry prompt, press A, succeed'. Having art direction I didn't like was just the creamy fecal matter on the shit cake for me (cel shading is fine, but character designs were not).
  22. It's Australia, mate. The most unpredictable sheila of'em all!
  23. Why am I rebuilding bits of my PS2 collection? i dunno lol
