Some say it's because Irrational Games doesn't want to compete with other major releases in Holiday 2012. I'm sure it would do well, but I could see it as a valid reason. Not the only one mind you as I'm also sure they could use the time to improve upon the game.

After Biden came out supporting gay marriage, a lot of people were looking at what the president had to say on the matter. It's not a subject you could hold off until after election day. There were those thinking the issue was being withheld as a kind of "if I get in again, you'll get X" clause where Obama could have both the gay community and a majority of independent voters on his side since nothing was "confirmed" as of yet. A kind of having your cake and eating it too scenario. If he had said nothing relatively soon, he would have lost significant support. So, say something now and ensure you get most of your votes, or try to convince them all that you'll make good once you're in your second term. Which is the most obvious option?

I never got the sense he was playing mind games. It was always coy and knowing discussions between them, probably with an air of 'plausible deniability' thrown in. More accurate, but it's still a kind of "Nah, I'm just taking a gander at the inventory" where Bruce doesn't think he'll quite get it. Then he does and Bruce is like, "Oh, what now?" Then again, the fourth time I watched it was a few years ago. I have made attempts to watch it a complete fifth time, but I always lose interest around when Bruce is returning home. Not taking a jab at the movie, just I haven't been able to watch it as much as The Dark Knight. Even when you know what's going to happen, like Batman won't run over Joker, or such-and-such dies, it's still a thrill to watch.

I also had some cheap Philips, but then again, they weren't earbuds. I've never particularly been a fan of earbuds, but I had the other style that lasted me for five years. Now I either use my Logitech headset or when I'm away from home... these pair of "sports" earbuds that hook around your ear.

I'll toss my hat into a new 3D Zelda for 3DS. That game being Majora's Mask 3D!

I love how Portal 2 rewards failure. I got that one for following GLaDOS's path unintentionally because I didn't see that the walkway turned right. So, I jump into the chamber and die. *Brrr-ing* "....What?"

I'm going to be the odd duck here and say I find it hard to get through Batman Begins now. I've seen it about four times, but the whole "becoming Batman" bit always wears on me when watching it again. Normally I can only watch a movie twice, once in the theater and once at home. With The Dark Knight, I have yet to be uninterested at any moment. I'm guessing it's because in TDK Bruce has already been Batman for a while, but now is being pushed to his limits by the Joker. With Batman Begins, "Hmm, I need to make a better cowl" and the "I don't know what you mean" mind games Bruce tries to play on Morgan Freeman's character just for it to backfire because the dude's not an idiot. EDIT: And as much as I like the character of Scarecrow, the appeal of having his character in the film fades to where I'm waiting for that big reveal of how Ra's al Ghul is still alive.

Well that's why I think we had this whole episode feature a big mash-up of shipping material. Getting it out of the way so there can be more focus on tasks at hand. I'm sure some moments it would have been appropriate to have Korra (and Bolin) showing signs of a crush, but as teens the hormones would create a distraction, like perhaps during a fight against revolutionary forces. Now it's leveled out, for the most part. Definitely within a few episodes later there will probably be some sign of romance progression, like what I said in my spoiler, but the worst part of awkward teen romances has past. Besides, I still think all that went on in the episode will benefit Bolin, but probably screw over Mako. Mako will be like Zuko, except with girl trouble instead of family drama.

I completely forgot about this, but another scene I really liked was the tie breaker with Bolin. It's neat to see that those responsible for the show took great thought into a sport centered on bending. Like, it's a fictional sport that could actually be realistically played (if we had powers).

Not necessarily my favorite, but I reacted just the same. In fact, it seems nearly everyone reacted the same if you look online. It was a sad scene, but it was comically as well. Also love that other scene, especially the reaction of the older couple. If I had to have a favorite, it was...

I think it's good that they're getting these rough patches out of the way first. In TLA, "love" mainly dealt with Aang's secret crush and Sokka being a start-up ladies' man. You had the occasional romance scene, mainly with Sokka and Zuko's girls of interest, though Katara had that moment with Haru and Zuko. Still, those were far and few. Made sense as most of the cast were tweens first discovering love rather than trying to go on dates and juggle feelings. The "Krew's" feelings affecting their pro-bending match was well done and rarely do you see these scenarios play out as such in animated shows. Usually they're in the background and not affecting the current goal. Here, the Fire Ferrets were essentially divided by personal struggles. While this episode might not make an eventual Top 10 list of Legend of Korra episodes, I actually laughed the most compared to the other episodes. Then again, this wasn't exactly a crucial plot-driven episode either so you could expect it to have much more humor. Now the little spoiler bits!

The series is set for two seasons, but if LoK stays popular, another season doesn't seem unlikely. After all, it was Nick that knew the series would be a hit and ordered more episodes before the premiere. I'd say there are two reasons as to why we're jumping so fast into relationships: 1. Our main cast are teens, if not nearing young adulthood. If you're not busy fighting Equalists, you're busy fighting hormones. 2. Fangirls go bananas over shipping. The Last Airbender had a massive female audience due in part to how Aang would be a goof around Katara and especially when Zuko became a rogue.

I think it'll focus more on the Fire Ferret's next match, but given that we have a love chain (Bolin > Korra > Mako > Asami) going on now, we're bound to see something. Actually, I wouldn't doubt Jinora (Tenzin's eldest daughter) developing a crush on Bolin and Asami being the secret mistress of Amon! Lets just keep the chain a-goin'!

Man, I remember waiting for the after-credits scene in Thor and my sister being a complete pain in the ass. Once it did the whole, "Thor will be back in The Avengers!" she flips out and says, "That's what you made me wait for?!" I believe other people were thinking the same thing since they probably heard me talk about an after-credits scene. The scene plays, finishes and I respond, "No, that's what we waited for!"
