  1. What don't you get? Two popular icons using the meme on their given subject. For example, Finn (Adventure Time) and Mario under "Princess Problems." They both save a princess they're in love with, but never have an actual relationship. So the two "know that feel, bro." EDIT: Or here, to put it in an OP-Commenter scenario. Finn: I save Princess Bubblegum a lot, but I don't think she "likes" me, you know? Mario: I know that feel, bro. You can flip it the other way, thus why they face each other. It's not that difficult.
  2. Gonna Double Post (for safety)! "I Know That Feel, Bro" with popular icons!
  3. Directing this back to PC games, I've had to pass on The Darkness II, but if I had a desktop I'd have it because Amazon has the download for $15 every now and then. Sadly my laptop can't handle it so it's this PS3 game that's only ever gone down to $50. This also reminds me of the Ashens video about collector's editions. I don't know how long this has been going on, but recently collector's editions become incredibly cheap after a while. You can go to Best Buy and get the Uncharted 3 CE for $65. I remember when the KZ3 "Helghan Edition" came out it was $130, but after a month or so it went down to $90.
  4. Just sayin' that paying $50 for one game isn't as bad if you happen to pay $30 for a dozen of other platform games. It occurred to me last night that I have, as of now, 40 PS3 games. The two consoles had about a similar sized library a year ago, but I've somehow double my PS3 games within the year! (It's probably because of Amazon.)
  5. As much as I still like Nintendo, lets be honest, how many Nintendo games are you buying?
  6. Yep, not to mention the controversy it would cause for the next Avatar to be born from the Fire Nation. I mean, if somehow you were to eventually kill the Earth Kingdom born Avatar, you'd then eventually have a political dilemma with a weakened force. Would they try to bring the Avatar to their side as a fellow Fire Nation citizen, or would they know it's the Avatar's destiny to oppose them and thus having to turn against their own kind, especially someone so young. Even though it has been 100 years, only the Water Tribe has genuinely suffered. The Fire Nation still isn't that large, but the Earth Kingdom can not last forever against such ruthless leaders and politicians. Of course, this is only possible because the Avatar was trapped away in a block of ice, the Fire Nation's best case scenario. EDIT: As for the "self-taught" question, it's not that straight forward. If anything, the Avatar at a young age is an untapped powerhouse. Aang has the built-up power of all the previous Avatars, but his own physical being doesn't have the experience. I imagine any Avatar is, much like we saw Korra in "A Leaf in the Wind," the ultimate visual learner. Monkey see, monkey do. Also, you'll see in Book Two: Earth that Aang really struggles with earthbending. He does try all the moves he sees, but bending also has a psychological and spiritual side. Book Two tackles the spiritual, whereas you'll see the "mental stuff" in Book Three: Fire. You should already know by now Aang's feelings about firebending.
  7. Not nearly as nightmare fuel as the last, but really satisfying. Seems like HDH has discovered how much people like his Spike too.
  8. Revealed "Concept Art" "Robo-Junk Turtle Warriors," if you ask me.
  9. Some seem gender specific, mainly Liara and Samara. Either way, I would choose Legion! If for some reason Legion were not possible, I'd have to decide between Garrus and Kal'Reegar. Garrus, like Legion, is a favorite character of mine. That color scheme for Kal'Reegar though, not to mention I like the quarians. I've always liked Kasumi's hooded outfit, so I think it would be awesome for there to be a hoodie based on it. Seeing her in ME3 again made me want to have a cyber thief hood for my Shep too.
  10. That deleted scene actually makes the Cerberus Lab mission a little more relevant. Being vague here, but...
  11. I don't know, man. That C-virus seems pretty average to me!
  12. 1) Start project in advance. 2) Schedule work. 3) Still stay up late nitpicking over minor details!

Believe me, my eyes are sore from glaring at my monitor. Probably would have helped if I turned the brightness in advance.

  13. If it's not 68 degrees in my apartment, it's frickin' 78! I swear, these roommates never want to keep the place at 72/73.

  14. Well I didn't want to double post, but it's that good that we can have two posts about it! EDIT: So I can contribute!
  15. 5th class, Mechromancer, to be post-launch FREE DLC It's still a concept, so don't get pissy thinking they're holding out on ya. Speaking of concept...
  16. If for some reason you missed the first two episodes of Legend of Korra, and have iTunes, they're free in HD for a limited time. My guess is it's just for today.

And so I look at my ZuneHD and weep.

If you have an Amazon account, you can get the first episode for free, but yeah, you'll be missing out on the second.

  17. I'm surprised he's allowed to post a pic of five bare asses. Now girls writing something about Chris Brown on their body I can believe, you know, because there are idiots in this wide world of ours. EDIT: All I can say is... yep.
  18. So I learned today that no matter how well you take care of your PS3, because the solders are tin based, it's only a matter of time before you YLOD. I would assume it's dependent on how often you play, but eventually current generation consoles will simply break. At least that's what I was told today when talking to the repair shop.

I doubt it, but after some more research a Wii could last longer than a PS3. It's all about heat and time, and I don't need to find any numbers to know that a PS3 gets hotter than a Wii.

This also heavily contributed to the RROD, though there were also some manufacturing faults with the actual soldering. Yay, environmental regs that require products to be faulty!

  19. Crisis averted! Through some more searching, I found a highly rated console repair shop within a reasonable driving distance. I called to ask the usual questions and the repair would only take 5-7 days! Not to mention I only have to pay $60, and extra if I want a warranty.

Hah? That's awesome, but I wonder what went wrong with it... If a chip came loose like many 360s I can't imagine a small shop fixing it, but I guess all kinds of things can happen to a power supply

Man I wish I could find a shop like that :( I've been wanting to get my (probably) soon to YLOD PS3, but Sony's online support site won't recognize my serial number.

  20. The only time you should attempt to revive someone with enemies surrounding you is if you're an Infiltrator. You can easily get to them and revive them only to have the enemies notice you when you and your teammate are up and running. One match, when it was the extraction wave, we were constantly reviving one another in this near repeating pattern. You're alive, reviving teammate, you die and teammate is alive, so he revives you. Well, you're up and now he's down. Also, I WILL BE GETH!
  21. Oh crap, my PS3 isn't turning on. Last night it shut off by itself, but I figured it had overheated. Today I was on it for about 10 minutes and it shut off again. Now it doesn't powers up for a second and turns off. I'm trying to find answers, but everything online leads to something else. What do I do?

I had to send my launch Wii back when SSBB came out because it wouldn't read dual-layered disks... To their credit it was free and they even replaced all the hinges and cleaned it up a bit, so whatever.

My brother's Wii fucked itself up by overheating (something apparently the early ones were prone to do if you just let them go to sleep rather than actually turning them off) so now there are little matrix artifacts all over the screen.

Yep, you'll lose all your data if it's a severe enough problem. I talked with a service rep and even he said this was a severe case. I will still have all my PSN stuff since it's tied to my account, but all my saves are pretty much gone. Well, all the saves from 9 months ago.

  22. This is how I see it. It's not like there haven't been instances where a much older male has met up with a younger person through Xbox Live. I'm sure I didn't imagine those articles on Kotaku and Joystiq years ago, right? Even in the linked article it talks about a 19 year-old having met his 10 year-old victim through this method. So yeah, I don't see this as another form of punishment, but closing off another channel in which some pervert wants to bypass his physical limitations. Obviously there are flaws, given varying sex offenders lists, but I'm not going to outright dismiss the idea. It will need to be refined, and even if someone is being a good parent, it's almost impossible to keep track of every communication medium at a kid's disposal today. You can keep tabs, and hopefully you're fine with your kid screaming at you for being a "tyrant" and being "overprotective" when it comes to sexual predators. At least this makes more sense than when people flipped out over PictoChat.
  23. As was said before, this makes more sense if you have seen Javik speaking about Legion and the Geth.
