  1. You have to wonder about the artifact though because in the Shadow Broker DLC it was present when Liara came up to visit you on the Normandy, even if you had not retrieved it yet. Almost makes you think that the artifact does have some worth to it.
  2. I have to say it certainly has more character than other floppy drive music videos. Anywho, I know Malicious is part of a university brony club, but how about the rest of you? Have you found local bronies and met up with them? I just recently joined a Facebook group page with local bronies, but don't know how I feel about meeting up at someone's basement rather than on campus somewhere.
  3. Jason Russell goin' all 2001 on that sidewalk.

      Just trying to raise awareness.

  4. Still haven't finished the game yet, but I plan on doing the bulk of it tonight. However, this occurred to me last night: Does the Prothean artifact you found in ME2 have an effect in ME3? I don't believe I've seen it as a war asset, but does it happen to play out into the plot? So far all the DLC has, like Kasumi and the characters from Overlord. Even met Zaeed, but I'm wondering where that artifact might come into play. Or perhaps it was only a nice decoration for your living space in ME2. If it does, just answer with a "Yes." If not, perhaps it's important for a "True Ending" DLC. /optimistic
  5. It wouldn't be the first time there was an "epilogue" to a core game's story. We had Arrival on ME2 that was essentially a prequel to ME3 rather than a "How much did Shepard piss off Cerberus?" Prince of Persia '08 had "Epilogue" where you basically went on a more challenging run with the Mourning King in some ruins. Of course, now with no sequel in sight, the ending changes to, "Lose the girl you love, thus causing an ancient evil to be released with no hope of sealing it again" instead of "Release ancient evil, but save the girl."
  6. My local friends who have been huge fans of the Mass Effect series since the first on 360 don't like the endings, but it's like what Vargras has said: the rest of it was a blast for them. One of them was talking about all the emotion he would feel when it came to previous squad members, and I have to agree that for all my squad members I've encountered there's this sense of joy, but it either ends in melancholy or a passive goodbye. So far I've... Still haven't finished, but I'm spending my time to take in everything presented. Hanging out with Garrus was great and I always look forward to his conversations with other crew members on the Normandy. The most recent was the one between him and James Vega. Swapping stories to appear like the best soldier only to end up agreeing that they'll be the ones to save the galaxy from the Reapers, well, until Vega says it'll most be him. My only concern is that I think I won't be able to have a relationship with Ashley now. I've reached the point where everyone, but Tali (since I haven't done the Quarian mission yet), has mentioned something where I can either have immediate sex with them or flirt.
  7. So turns out my decision with the surrogate rachni queen... I sincerely hope that isn't going to come back and bite me. My krogan forces became strong after the mission though, which is probably because I had Grunt for the krogan. But that amount...
  8. Haven't laughed this hard at a Mega 64 video in quite some time.

    1. MasterDex

      MasterDex

Mega64 is great when they don't try hard to be funny. I enjoyed that though, reminds me of the 'stranger' one.

    2. Hot Heart

      Hot Heart

Good, but I don't think anything can beat the Mario Kart/Tylenol one.

  9. How many people saved the rachni queen in the first game? Of all the things I would change, I would probably have saved the queen now. The downside with the interactive comic for ME2 on PS3 is that context wasn't always enough. You're only given a "considered a threat long ago, but promises to keep to themselves" description. EDIT: To me "threat + promise" didn't seem good enough. I mention this because I've... Of all my decisions, I keep seeing that saving the Council and killing the rachni queen have been prominent. In the Shadow Broker DLC, my Shepard was proving how much of a badass he was and mentioned he killed the last rachni queen.
  10. There are those MLP toys at McDonald's if you guys collect toys. Still don't think I'm that large a fan, but from what I've seen they're better than the previous ones from last year. EDIT: No need to double post, but anyway at work I clocked out and when I went to grab my backpack, I noticed someone else's backpack had the Rarity McD's toy. Two Possibilities: 1) Fellow Brony, or 2) Irony Either way, I left a note with the word "brohoof" and left. I've only met one other brony and it was months ago when I wasn't part of the "herd." Figured I couldn't let this one pass, as creepy as it may seem.
  11. I did the whole Tuchanka mission and got to see Garrus and Joker swapping jokes. I frickin' love Garrus! That's the one thing you can't deny about this game over ME2; character interaction. I think Strangelove mentioned it before, but your squad members seem to have a lot more to say while on a mission rather than a quick quip.
  12. Looks like this thread found its quad! GRRAAAAAAWWWRRRRRR!!!!
  13. I've watched all the episodes now. Fluttershy is my favorite as far as the ponies go, but Spike has great moments. Latest episode, the whole covert stealth mission was entertaining, but even I thought that Twilight should have known that being Celestia's protegee would grant her privileges. There are some folk thinking the hourglass at the end is a plot device, but personally I'm sure it was zoomed in on just for a "time" effect since that was the focus of the episode.
  14. Pfft, it's not that bad, but I'm definitely glad I got it for cheap. Most of the dependent movies haven't had much in relation to the prior Justice League series, which is a shame. What I didn't expect was the lack of the Legion of Doom. A few villains, but for the most part it was a cast of "Hey, Joker and Lex aren't the only ones, ya know?" Not to mention the world domination plan wasn't quite as sound, even for supervillain plots. I expected more out of Cyborg, as someone who remembers his debut in The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians (final incarnation of Super Friends) and watched Teen Titans. About the only useful thing he did was "do machines." EDIT: Actually, I take that back. He did save Wonder Woman, though he was kinda being a wimp when he had to save Superman.
  15. I'm going to take my time with the game, and hopefully multiplayer will be active enough so I can try for the better ending. To think that multiplayer and multiple endings had to be this much of a hassle. If it weren't for the game still being enjoyable to play and a handful of cool characters, I'd rather try getting the true ending in Shadow the Hedgehog for all the effort. Maybe they were afraid their multiplayer would turn out just like Bioshock 2's multi: a pointless distraction. How do you rectify that? Make singleplayer dependent on multiiplayer! Think about it... if you ever come back to ME3, it won't be for the multiplayer. Crap, the multi is probably going to die down in the next four months. Are people just going to have to YouTube the "greatest" ending?
  16. Played about five hours of the game today. The last half hour was the same section because of a couple of bugs. It was the Academy... Also, if you talk to Liara and mention Glyph, Shepard will not take his eyes of the VI. So for the rest of the conversation either Shepard will be looking away from Liara or have his eyes roll back.
  17. Anyone with the Collector's Edition, was it worth it? I picked up my copy today and there were still extra copies of the Collector's Edition for PS3. That's an extra $20 though, and I looked through the list of "extras." Aside from the Ashes DLC, it all looked cosmetic, though in-game weapons and a soundtrack didn't seem too bad. In the end I did get the standard game, but I wanted to know what you guys think of what you got for that extra money.
  18. Completed perhaps my most half-hearted, half-assed, and half-coherent research paper tonight. Tomorrow afternoon, Mass Effect 3 is all MINE!

  19. I got the $6 plan, so in a few days I'll let you guys know what I think. Either way, great video. Of course, if you do want to go ahead with this right away, let me know as they have a referral program that gives you free months for friends that sign-up through your unique URL.
  20. I'm partial to Fluttershy, though Applejack is very likeable. Twilight is a lovable nerd, but that does it for me. I can see why people love Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, but again not for me. I don't really have an opinion on Rarity or any of the secondary characters, besides Tank being a boss.
  21. Watched all of season two, but I'm going to complete the first season probably as I wait for Friday... THEN I SAVE THE GALAXY! Kinda funny how for the Halloween special everyone is afraid of Luna, yet the second episode of the series has her alongside her sister at the end and everyone is fine.
  22. I watched eight episodes last night, and I think I might watch a few more tonight. WHAT THE HAY IS HAPPENING TO ME?!!?
  23. Pre-ordered ME3, but I'm not going to be able to pick it up until Friday. I do technically have 5 days for pickup.

Sorry for the double post, but really, I think everyone should use Amazon for free release day shipping anyway. Once you go Amazon, you never go back.

That isn't their slogan, but it should be.

    3. Waldorf and Statler

      Waldorf and Statler

I went with Amazon for Skyrim. While it WAS nice to not have to drive to the store... at the same time unless your UPS guy arrives before you're back from class/work you'll be worried sick. I was cursing the higher power and thinking somebody stole it till I realized it was left in my complex office

      TheMightyEthan

Amazon's release day shipping is only free in the US if you have Amazon Prime, otherwise it costs $0.99 (which isn't bad, and I use it anyway).

  24. As far as I'm concerned, it's going to be Assassins vs. Templars. No one side is going to be the embodiment of either faction, and truth be told there will (I can guarantee) be Templars who are promoting the Revolution from both sides. There's going to be hidden motives, conspiracy, and all that "everything's permitted" jazz. It's going to be like the Pope from ACII who merely wanted that position to have access to the Rome vault.
