  1. Like everyone else, alone the first was bland. I tried hard to have friends play with me, but most of the game I did it solo. There are certain elements I enjoyed of the game, and perhaps because I'm use to playing solo I was able to tolerate it more. But if I am getting the sequel, I need to have co-op partners. I wouldn't say Borderlands has the worst final boss, but the ending is absolutely terrible. It's one of the few games where I've gone online to make sure I didn't anything because the conclusion feels so frickin' hollow.
  2. Now that I have a 3DS, I have Mario Kart 7. Something tells me that with the lack of friends with a 3DS it's not going to be like the super fun times I had with Mario Kart DS.

  3. Saw Tintin whilst on vacation. It definitely is a great movie, thought my entire family was doubting me. I'm not even speaking from nostalgia since the only Tintin memories I have are of, like, two television episodes of the animated series.
  4. As the family is out running around grabbing last-minute gifts, all my gifts (for others) arrived at the door. THANKS AMAZON!

As someone who hates going to the mall when it's busy, Amazon was a life saver this year.

  5. Deciding vote right there. Thanks for the help guys!
  6. In Indiana right now, and for a brief moment I saw the sun rise right before it hid above the ever present overcast. Truly a miracle has been witnessed.

  7. So you mean to say the improved character models, textures, and soundtrack emphasized with the "HD" release are really just PC features circa 2003? Hmm... hmm... mmm... I'll need a second source, but then a third source to verify the second source's statement which will then have to be notarized by an approved official. Yes, quite... quite...
  8. So far: - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (airplanes and books, man) - T-shirt (for mother) - Golf Tees (for father) - LCD Digi-Piggy Bank (for sister) That all seems cheap, but today I'll be making two big purchases for my sister and brother-in-law. Right now I'm waiting to see if my bro-law hasn't already bought my sister Dance Central 2 (Amazon, $24.99). For him, thinking of getting the complete Samurai Champloo series on either DVD or Blu-ray. I already got myself the series a while ago, but I don't know how my he feels about DVD and Blu-ray. Not to seem lame either, but my father is REALLY hard to shop for. I don't mean in a "particular taste" style, but a "he wants it, he buys it" kind of fashion. He has money, so he's not the type to dream of purchasing something other than a retirement luxury item, i.e. a motorcycle. To contrast, my mother doesn't ask for much. If she ever wants anything, it's for work and her career happens to be teaching kindergarten. For reference: This person is an amazing designer/illustrator/geek... basically, the perfect person to make t-shirts for a geek like me! http://www.redbubble.com/people/misskari No, really, she recently has made two amazing "The Legend of Zelda" design, a equally awesome "Regular Show" design, and a "Little Shop of Horror" design for Child's Play. If you happen to like video games, cartoon series, or certain television shows and movies (Dr. Who and Firefly anyone?), then check her out! Oh, and especially if you happen to love Corgis too! http://www.redbubble.com/people/misskari/works/6422195-corgi-cluster So yeah, check out her stuff... DO IT! http://karifry.com/
  9. Thanks Duke! The family's favorite was the short one's snowman bit, though I quite liked the tall hedgehog snowboarding and... you know.
  10. Amazon has PC downloads of Ubisoft and Sega games for dirt cheap. Which reminds me... When I get back home, I'm downloading Beyond Good & Evil on PSN. The standard game is $2.99 on Amazon, but I can pay seven dollars more for "HD-ness."
  11. Been meaning to get online after I saw the timeline last night while traveling/flying for 12 hours. I always thought Wind Waker worked well with the OoT split. It was Link to the Past that stood out because, in all honestly, it was like a pre-OoT as far as plot. It has, more so, an origin story. It really couldn't go near Ocarina, Twilight, or Wind Waker without proper padding (Awakening, Four Swords, etc). If anything, Skyward Sword (theoretically speaking) has a timeline split. Link to the Past could have been a parallel time period to Ocarina of Time given how similar they are, but with slight differences. I can't explain in full right now though; time is short on my end.
  12. Frickin' Eh, Excel! How could I forget the Gym Leader (Last Pokemon) music?! I even shared the same music on Facebook with all my nerdy friends.
  13. Skyward Sword representative here! And lastly...
  14. I've only heard of him through this video, which I happened to send to my Metallic-loving friend when it was first uploaded.
  15. Wait, Frosty, have you played Birth by Sleep? Just sayin', those evil twins aren't new... or evil twins! And Jack, Chain of Memories was pretty good. All the DS titles, yeah, you can throw those out. I could only tolerate 358/2 because I like Organization XIII... actually, it's probably because I liked "The Organization" from Chain of Memories.
  16. There's gonna be a free Batman Inc. skin for Arkham City tomorrow (Tuesday)! Hopefully it's around when I get back home, and at the low cost of "FREE!" Community page also handed out a cheat to select any of your skins while playing the game. http://community.batmanarkhamcity.com/news/latest/item/218-a-thank-you-from-batman-arkham-city#

      Hot Heart

Wow. That's pretty cool. And nice that there's a way to select different skins in the story without having to complete the game first.

  17. Yep, pretty much what Ethan said. The game is actually pretty good, but Molyneux made ridiculous promises in the sense that Fable would "revolutionize" games and thus it would be, for its time, the most spectacular game to come in years.
  18. Chain of Memories is really the only one that ever felt like a X.5 title (in its case, Kingdom Hearts 1.5). 358/2 was moreso a spin-off that revealed an "unknown" member of the organization, but seemed to result in only explaining why Roxas had two Keyblades. Oh, and a certain chamber, but that was a single cutscene. Birth by Sleep is a prequel, just more so giving insight to previous locals and characters. By far it is the only one of the handheld games to provide a lot of meaningful information regarding the overarching plot. Coded/Re:coded had two minutes of plot progression. No, really, the very ending and you get a hint of what Sora and Riku will have to do in KH3.
  19. Guesstimation: 92% of this game will be a recap of everything which will lead to Kingdom Hearts 3. The rest of the percentage will be split between minigames and actual plot progression. I say this as the near ending is just that, a recap of everything in Kingdom Hearts. The whole point of this game looks like dreams (oh but not memories) which might give Sora and Riku insight to what they must face in KH3.
  20. I was under the impression that Re: coded was the worst of the bunch, then 358/2.
  21. I'm glad to be back to this game, but today was oh so special. (Wish I remembered I could take a screenshot.) I'm running along side Whiterun and I'm greet with a dragon landing right behind me. Did not see it coming, at all. It was easy enough, but then a Whiterun Guard gets in my way and as the dragon is dead, the guard runs right into my view and caught in my spell. "Stop right there!" Screw it, reload. Turns out the dragon is still there, but he found a foe in a local giant! Guards are running around, the dragon happens to be flying into the ground and the giant is chasing me for the longest time. Really, I'm dodging so many killing blows from the giant as I'm trying to gets shots with my bow on both the giant and dragon. It's nice to have the dragon help out, so in sequence of death: 1. Giant 2. Guards, and 3. Dragon. I'm glad I kept all my Stamina potions too.
  22. I saw the trailer that was coupled with Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Everything was great, even the Batwing! Well, actually, Anne Hathaway's acting was a little concerning, but it was one scene mind you.
  23. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I really liked the first one, and while there are a few hiccups (like any movie), I still absolutely loved it.
  24. If anyone uses Facebook, PlayStation has a free Last of Us dynamic theme. Just have to like "Last of Us" and submit for a code.

Eh, it's not that great. I mean, it's fine for a free theme. But it's not going to replace my Heavy Rain one.
