  1. It's from CyberConnect2, the ones behind the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series. It plays similarily, but what I like about these QTEs is that there's emotion behind them. Maybe shallow, but it beats, "Oh crap, hit L2 to dodge!" I mean, rapidly pushing the Circle button to lift Wyzen's gigantic fighter and eventually deliver a punch that disintegrated him was awesome. Also, you can't deny fighting on the moon, flying through space, being impaled by a sword that pierced its way through the entire Earth doesn't have a certain wow factor.
  2. I've been browsing this site for a while, and I thought I'd share in the wealth. http://www.ps3-themes.com You'll definitely need to dig around for the quality stuff, but it's there. For the Bronies, there's a few great ones. For those who want naked ladies as a theme, there's a whole category for it.

      「Advent Chaos」

I remember that site! Got a real pretty "Air Gear" theme, never liked the series itself, but it sure looks pretty!

I have an Ar tonelico Qoga Tyria theme around if anyone wants it (Chronixal).

  3. Coincidentally, in one of my classes today/yesterday, the topic of Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and XIV popped up. Much meh-ness was had.
  4. Might as well try it out. I do love the Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney) series, not to mention I have a good microphone on my headset. Hell, if we want this to be hilarious, we could make our multi-cultural attribute hilarious.
  5. Seems more like the cast of an "opposites couple" movie. "Leon S. Kennedy, an ex-cop now certified badass, has lost his job. It's not everyday you have to shoot a zombified President of the United States of America, but that's the life he lives. She was a no-nonsense government official. Strong, independent, and needed no man in her life. Then she dropped the bomb... literally! Turns out she'll need Leon, in perhaps more ways than one! Watch as these two fight through a city swarming with undead citizens and monsters. Yet, the toughest opponent they may face is the strong emotional tension that forms between a man and a woman... AND GIANT BOULDERS AND EXPLOSIONS!" Coming to a theater near you, folks.
  6. I can't remember, but HUNK didn't have a falling out with Umbrella yet, did he? If Sherry is somehow still alive and has been kept captive at an old Umbrella facility, HUNK could have taken Sherry with him for whatever reason Resident Evil 6 wishes. At least, that's how I see Sherry coming back. The only problem is that the mercenary in RE6 looks about the same age as the blonde girl. You'd think there'd be, at most, two decades apart from HUNK and Sherry given she was still a kid in RE2 and HUNK was the leader of Alpha Team.
  7. The third duo (mercenary and blonde girl) could consist of four known Resident Evil characters. First off, the Merc. HUNK is the most well-known, and you have to figure he has been around as to warrant a return to the series. However, others are speculating that it is Alex Wesker, the "brother" of Albert Wesker. Not much is known about him since he's only mentioned in Spencer's Memoirs and in relation to Project W. He was, after all, one of the thirteen children to become part of the "superior race" of humans. This is why the character's blood could be so vital, whereas HUNK doesn't have such a condition (unless 6 plans on it). Now the blonde is pretty much half-an-half. The voice definitately sounds like Ashley, and with her father zombified and probably shot dead by Leon, she could theoritically be anywhere else besides dead in the White House. If people's hunches are correct, the debut trailer shows settings from Resident Evil 4. If so, Ashley definitely has experience there that could be benefical to whatever the goal would be. On the other hand, people are (more or less) hoping it's Sherry Birkin. As far as anything G-virus related, nothing of the sort has popped up much in the Resident Evil series. If there is to be G-virus involvement, then why not? Of course, people wanted the blonde in Resident Evil 5 to be Sherry Birkin as well, but we all know it was...
  8. So many people (in town) were saying it didn't feel like winter. Can't blame them as it was 47 at night, but they done jinxed it because there's 2 inches of snow with more to come!

      deanb

It's pretty lackluster over here atm. No snow at all yet.

      TCP

It was -45 Celsius all week, then we got a heavy snow fall warning on Friday night. Fortunately we only got about 8 inches.

  9. Once you see it, you can't un-see it.

  11. Saw I misspelled in my last status update. I laughed, but to my dismay it seems my prior illness left me with a weezy laugh. NOOOOOOO!!!

  12. Eh, not so much nationalities as much as different demographics. The most common would be, "A priest, a rabbi, and a..." That, or there are some animals involved.
  13. I'm afraid over the weekend I'm going to find myself in a soup opera if my suspicions are correct.

  14. In case anyone thought the blackouts were pointless... EDIT: And Dean, I can respect your opinion, but to suggest Extra Credits is pushing some kind of Penny Arcade agena is a bit too cynical. Take in note that "Stand Together" was more so spearheaded by ScrewAttack, I don't see this being a "make PAX bigger" scheme. Hell, the only reason why Extra Credits is on PATV is because of the fiasco with The Escapist, but even now Extra Credits has its own site, but are obligated to run episodes until an alotted time through Penny Arcade. Besides, I think James has more important prospects to attend to then please Penny Arcade. Just yesterday it was announced James would be heading to Washington to help with ECA in fighting SOPA.
  15. Ugh, having mage followers can be a pain. At least, when there's a dragon about. I began the Alduin's Wall quest, so we (my followers and I) exit the tavern and a Frost Dragon attacks Riverwood. Everything seemed to go well, but the guards were attacking Esbern because his Frost Atronach attacked someone else besides the dragon.
  16. As I'm sure some of you have already seen this, lets repeat for good measure. Stand Together: The Gaming Community vs. SOPA and PIPA Basically, for those without the time to watch a short video clip, the best offense to ESA's support of SOPA is to completely ignore E3 this year. Anyone who had planned on providing coverage or attending is being strongly urged to refrain as a counter measure to ESA. For once, I firmly believe this will work. E3 is hands down the largest gaming event of the year, but if we turn a blind eye to it, it will make an impact.
  17. What are people's thoughts on the new Alienware X51? http://tinyurl.com/7eu5jct (via IGN). I know anyone with hardware know-how might not be impressed, but I think this is a good step towards expanding the PC gaming market. I mean, I definitely have enough room to fit another PS3 sized device that, at the lowest end, can run games in 1080p at 30 fps no problem.

$700 seems fair for those specs, at least as far as Serbian standards are concerned.

      madbassman39

I saw it yesterday, personally I think its great. Its not a bad price from a pre-made gaming PC. I actually would want one with the Steam for big screens and use it as a gaming console more than a gaming PC.

    4. Yantelope V2

      Yantelope V2

I'm skeptical that this will convince people to drop consoles. The number of people who are knowledgeable enough to game on PCs but not enough to build one is very small methinks.

  18. I finished Mockingjay (final book of Hunger Games) last night, so here's two options. TL'DR: 3/5 Otherwise, I'll go into some detail. I can definitely see where readers coming out of a fit and rating the book with a single star are coming from when they announce their distaste of the book. It's essentially sloppy, and in parts I feel like you could easily make a comparison to Twilight given Katniss's shifts from homicidal to suicidal. Now, I could go into a lot more detail, but it's definitely spoiler based. There's the defense that it's a "war story" novel and there has to be terrible things that occur and having a fairy tale ending is unrealistic. Yeah, I agree with that, but only if it's properly structured and has more of an affect on readers instead of teenage girls cutting themselves because of Katniss's woe. As of now, I fell like I can only ever enjoy the first book because it was written to stand on its own, whereas Catching Fire was structured to lead into Mockingjay. Heck, I'm still looking forward to the movie in March, but I'm probably going to pass on the last movie adaption (or two given the trend of splitting the final book). Really, the whole trilogy is as follows. The Hunger Games: 5/5 Catching Fire: 4.5/5 Mockingjay: 3/5
  19. Flithy roommates came back from their mystery trip; they smell like feet.

Came back from spending day with family, roomates greet me by shooting nerf darts and showing almost 1 week dirty dishes. Yaaaaaay

There's always dirty dishes, so nothing new for me.

  20. Pre-ordered: Again, one of the few fighting games I can actually play well enough in.
  21. Seriously! Quite a few Acts I've completed, but I haven't bothered to look online so there's a ton of other Acts where I'm missing one or two Red Rings.
  22. Gingrich must still be a staunch supporter of "Freedom Fries" if knowing French, or any other foreign language, is such a demeaning attribute. "But it's funny... people love it!" People tend to love to laugh at poor political ads.
  23. So yeah, as I said in my status update, I beat Sonic Generations tonight. I know reviewers weren't enthutastic about the game primarily consisting of older stages from all the prior Sonic games, but they're all well done. Sometimes it was weird to play a "Modern" stage as Classic Sonic, but it was great fun. It wasn't all the challenging until I got to the Sonic Unleashed level, but in the end it's not that hard to S Rank the stages. If I were to rate it, I'd say: 8/10
  24. That's essentially dynamite fishing in Skyrim.
  25. Finished Sonic Generations tonight. It was anticlimatic given how little story there is to it all. Yet, I can forgive that since the game actual works with only a few minor (gameplay) flaws.

I actually liked the fact that the game tells you what Eggman's real occupation actually is.

    3. Hot Heart

      Hot Heart

Yeah, I would not 'forgive' it as much as forget it the second it passed, in narrative terms. The final boss was disappointing from a gameplay perspective. Like the 'ultimate ending' to S3&K but done poorly.

    4. Cyber Rat

      Cyber Rat

Yea, it was a poor man's S3&K final boss. The fact that the cast wouldn't shut the hell up was even worse. It was like a family of Omochaos, all talking at once.
