  1. Mass Effect, another game I've got to eventually get over. I played the ME2 demo and thought it was pretty good. Game is only $20 on Amazon, but I've already got a large enough backlog. Not to mention Skyrim seems to be the default game I turn to and I'm thinking of finally getting Limbo.
  2. I forgot to ask about online sources for manga actually now that I think about it. Manga Stream was confronted by Viz Media this week and were ordered to stop hosting Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece scans. You'd think Viz Media wouldn't actually care because only a few chapters are hosted at any one moment on Manga Stream. Then again, even with the water mark, people could save the images for future reference/enjoyment.
  3. Plain and simple, we discuss the latest/greatest manga has to offer. I wasn't sure how many people would bother with this kind of thread, so that's why I asked in Anime Discussion. Obviously any one manga is ahead of its respective anime, so we'll have to put SPOILERS in practically every post, that is, unless we discuss prior knowledge/events. For example, Naruto! So here we go!
  4. I've had the Uncharted Dual Pack in my library for a while now. Still have not touched it. I think I've said this before, but the more hype something has, I just tend to not be as attracted to it. Nothing personal, or I'm not trying to be some kind of "hipster" gamer, but ever since the first game Uncharted has been the type of "OMG, UV GAT A TRY DIS!" kind of game. I'm sure it is great, just I don't want someone anticipating my actions. I dunno, I guess it's like a popular restaurant. Everyone from California raves about it, and a new In-N-Out is being built locally. Finally opens and people flock to it. Eventually you find yourself there, but you're surrounded by the preconceived notion that "this is the best fast food, man!" You eat a burger and it's alright. Woo.
  5. Could we maybe, perhaps, you know, discuss manga as well? Seriously, some serious stuff has gone down in the last few chapters of Naruto. Oh, and I guess Bleach is in its "final arc."
  6. I can only imagine the look on someone's face when you give them a compliment after trolling.

    1. Waldorf and Statler

      Waldorf and Statler

A guy thought he was trolling me. I used the words "dick-sizing competition" and all of a sudden I'm hostile and "need to cool down bro"

      wtf

Maybe he has a great fear of someone measuring his tube steak? Or maybe he took it as if you were going to share some pork sword in his toasted buns? Trolls are usually stubborn AND stupid.

It's all fun and games until oh god the police are here run they're gonna taze uaHHHHASahahashahahaha

  7. If you love the game, get the DLC. If you thought the game was good, then don't. The DLC is very character driven, so that's why. I actually really enjoyed the story where the only thing that annoyed me was...
  8. I've always liked the fan-made stuff, and I've watch an episode of Friendship is Magic. It was the one about Rainbow Dash reading a book, and it was good. Always thought the show was good, but wasn't for me. ...but I've watched a full episode now. HOW MUCH LONGER UNTIL I TURN INTO A BRONY?!
  9. Wasn't too interested in Lollipop Chainsaw, but then I saw the new video about her boyfriend Nick.

It's a Suda51 game, Ethan. These things tend to happen. :P

I don't play Japanese games for the most part, so while I've heard of Suda51 I don't know that I've ever played one of his games.

Games like No More Heroes (and its sequel), Killer7, and Shadows of the Damned are his most notable. Killer7 was back on the GCN and is still considered a "best game no one played" type of game.

  10. Family stickers are a regional trend (as far as I'm aware), having started a few years ago. I've been living in Utah for the last three years and it was somewhere in 2010 they started popping up. I don't know if they started in Utah or Idaho, or if it was a California trend heading eastbound like In-N-Out. As you see in the picture, that's a Colorado plate, and I know they exist there. When I visited Indiana I don't believe I saw any family stickers. They started off pretty basic, but have become more personalized. My father still has the early basic stick figure styles, but now there are different kinds of logos and items. http://www.familystickers.com/ If they're the originators, then Boise, Idaho.
  11. It must be some kind of log texture bug because I visited some camps last night and the logs used for fires were glowing slightly pink. 8 out of 10 of my Workshop mods have been gameplay fixes rather than anything actually fun/humorous. General fixes to followers, getting rid of the invisible follow bow, fixing merchants, faster horses, swapping Lydia's trade dialogue, and etc. I use to have the "following horse" mod which worked well. In fact, too well. When you wanted to leave the horse behind, it would always follow. Not too great for sneaking missions.
  12. Fridge space has always been a kind of "unwritten law" with all of my roommates. Sorta like how people pick out their seats for the rest of the semester if there isn't a seating chart.
  13. Had the demo for a whole week; each and every time it was unable to put me through to play online. If I get bored, I might download the demo again. I imagine the online connectivity should be fixed by now.
  14. I've only had a single problem with the HD Texture Pack. In Riften there's that stump with a "Leg of Goat;" it was florescent blue. Otherwise, with how I have to play on Low Quality, the HD Texture Pack makes a bit more difference.
  15. Donated blood today. The worst part isn't the needle, it's the removal of the extra sticky bandage three hours later.

I donated in the fall. Unfortunately I've been to Mexico since and can't donate till October. But it still felt good (besides, you know, the pain).

I donate blood through this thing called the Alyx Machine. It takes twice as much and replenishes you. As an 0- I am the universal giver and they want more blood from me.

I'd like to give blood but can't since I'm a dirty homo :(

  16. As I've seen it, Romney has been the only Republican candidate capable of going against Obama. He has been at the top for a long time, and typically the next nomination has gone to prior runner-ups. A few months ago if you told Republicans that Gingrich was part of the "Final Two," you'd get a chuckle or confused look with people wondering what happened to Perry or Cain. Truth of the matter is Gingrich has become the last hope for a "non-Romney" candidate. I mean, there was even an SNL skit where the character playing Gingrich just left the debate because, at that time, no one ever thought Gingrich would get to where he stands now. Of course, no one saw Rick Perry's trademark "Oops" debating skills and Herman Cain having a handful of sex scandals.
  17. Finally got around to playing AC: Revelations. Frickin' game trolled me in the first episode. Game: "Select Medicine with R2" Me: "Wait, I've had medicine while injured?" *checks menu and sees no medicine* Me: "There's no medicine..." *closes menu to be greeted with death*

  18. I'd let her sing me a song, possibly show me a thing or two, and perhaps while she ate my brain.
  19. Depends on the school and the environment. In my schools, there was a cop that handled small disputes. I can't exactly comment on other schools, but the impression I get is that you'll have a cop or cops when actual punishable crimes occur on school grounds. The ones with metal detectors, and etc.
  20. The only "real" thing about cooties is the Hasbro game, "Cootie." Actually was pretty darn fun as a toddler. As for US currency, you may not think it, but it has gone through a lot of changes and shifts in the past century. I'm a big fan of the show "Pawn Stars" and it's genuinely the only History Channel show you'll actually learn anything. Probably the largest currency flop of my generation was the Sacagawea golden dollar. While as a kid I thought it was cool, and not to mention the Lewis-Clark expedition was huge in the community, consumers hated the thing. Eventually businesses wouldn't except it and about the only place you could use for golden dollars was for transit services. The latest and greatest endeavor now is to rid ourselves of the penny. EDIT: Depending on the school, kids have been learning metrics. Hell, I learned metrics in middle school. Do I use it? Well, depends on how often I get furniture from IKEA. (two years ago, btw.)
  21. I wouldn't doubt it. I mean, this isn't the dawn of looney campaign ads, especially when it comes to local/state campaigns.
  22. Looks to me like one of Bowser's minions decapitated Mario and threw his head at the screen. Definitely would make for a great 3D M-rated Mario game.
  23. Because having a hundred pennies to a dollar is enough! No, but seriously, I say we use the Britain wizarding currency from now on. I'm sure by now the younger generations (or our two regions) has that down to the letter. How many Knuts to a Galleon? 493! EDIT: Fixed hilarious typo, ha ha!
  24. I'll always prefer mm/dd/yyyy, but this is opinion. Defining what part of the month it is in the year versus what specific day it is by month and year. While Fahrenheit seems goofy, it's also ingrained in society. You'd be hard-pressed to have people think "32 degress" is actually 90 degress Fahrenheit. At least Réaumur isn't around anymore (like Celsius, but 0 to 80).
  25. It centainly beats paying $150 for a new premium stick. Might actually try to find the old TvsC now...
