The first one is pretty bad, but the second is good. Luckily the first has almost nothing to do with the second, so you can just skip straight to the sequel.

AvP:R was actually pretty good, which surprised the hell out of me.

I like Aliens better than Alien, but I think that's more a genre thing than anything about their quality.

LIES! LIES AND SLANDER!

Same can be said for Mario Tennis. GC version made me sad.
-
I think the last golf game I played was the golf mode of one of the Super Monkey Ball games.
-
Indeed.

What is it then? Or is that super secret info you're not at liberty to divulge?

Oh yeah, gas definitely has convenience going for it, I just meant end result of charcoal grilling is better. Usually for just a couple burgers or hotdogs I'll break out the George Foreman grill just for convenience's sake.

lol, the ancient art of uploading digital pictures to the internet.

That does look cool, though the CGI in that fight with the dudes in white was pretty bad. On a related sentiment Saw this trailer the other day and was thinking "that looks like it could be pretty cool, then the title pops up and "fuck, I'm a tool."

http://pressxordie.c...re-of-the-vita/ Yes. Yeah, sorry, I knew the Vita did it, I wasn't sure if it was entirely system-wide though. And this: Shows that it's not 100%. I'd like it to just be a feature that devs couldn't disable... although now that I think about it maybe a limited-time disabling would be handy to avoid people posting spoilers. Maybe make it so you can't screenshot certain parts of the game before a certain amount of time after launch, like how Bungie did on their website with Halo pictures (though that didn't actually prevent you from doing it, it just blacked out the thumbnail and posted a spoiler warning across it so you had to actually click through to see the picture).

Poor investment by your standards (and mine, I would have to be REALLY excited about something to donate to a kickstarter for it), but if the thing you're looking to get out of it is just "I helped this game get made" then seems like a decent investment to me.
-
Yeah, I'll have to do some research on it. Actual 1:1 golf simulation would be cool, cause then I could work on my swing (which atm I can only hit the ball accurate to within about 160 degrees) in air conditioned comfort and without looking like an idiot on the driving range.

@Yant: Yeah, this is really more like something you'd tailgate with. If I end up using it much I probably will upgrade to a bigger one. *Edit* - Charcoal > gas for everything.
-
Yeah, Youtube integration is the coolest kind of social integration to me. Also the ability to take screencaps of any app would be fantastic (the Vita does this, right?). I hadn't even considered they might require 3D, that would be pretty great.

Yes, because human-on-human conflicts are so bloodless. Not to mention the fact that it's not like drones are free & infinitely replaceable like game avatars are.

I grilled out for the first time last night (first time doing it myself I mean), on one of those miniature Weber grills, and yeah, I felt pretty manly.

I "believe in science" in the sense that I believe that a rational, methodical, objective approach to studying the universe will bring greater understanding of how it works. But yeah, that doesn't mean that any given theory is true (edit: or that any given person is always right, because they're not). Even putting aside that sometimes people will be intentionally deceptive, there's also the fact that humans make mistakes, or even beyond that people make perfectly reasonable inferences based on available data without knowing that they're missing critical bits of info.

Bullet-point, and since AC1 already existed on PS3 they didn't even have to port it. It was basically 0 work, and I really doubt they were making much from sales of AC1 anyway. *Edit* - I'll have to try a golf game on my Move once it gets here. My father in law would probably like it too.
-
Yeah, the problem is the regular media just picks up on the sensational findings of whatever study, without being bothered by the fact that it was published in Pseudoscience Monthly because none of the real publications would run it.
-
FXAA worked quite nicely in Skyrim too. But yeah, the only games where we might see MSAA would be ones that aren't terribly taxing on the system to begin with.
-
Okay, that's an important distinction. Yeah, people are crappy and even "scientists" will distort data to support their ideas (not all of them, I'd even say not most of them, but certainly some of them).
-
At first I was like "meh, it can render in 2k, who has a 2k tv?" but then I realized that would allow 2x MSAA on a 1080p TV, and MSAA is quite a bit better than FSAA (standard antialiasing), so that's kinda cool.

Well it's not entirely a donation, every Kickstarter I've seen treats each pledge as a preorder at the least.
