Yep. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/28/simcity-requires-internet-connection-to-play-will-be-sold-outsi/ Guess I won't be buying this after all. They try to spin it as being required by the regional multiplayer stuff and the player driven economy, but if that's the case just don't let me make use of those things if I'm in offline mode. Hell, they could even make it so when you start the city you have to decide if it's an online or offline city.
-
Yeah, that's a tic.
-
I was mostly kidding... Though yeah I wouldn't call a Hot Pocket a pastry either, but I thought it looked like a pastry in that picture. Obviously I can't tell what's in it or its consistency or how it tastes through a picture.

I'd say Arkham City probably replaces Arkham Asylum, and between Revelations and Arkham City I think Arkham City is the better game.
-
There's something completely overpowered and awesome about being able to walk into a room with a maxed out sword, do a 360 degree swipe and kill everything. It reminds me of Drain Life in KotOR II.
-
Yeah, I think the pricing should be similar to regular music CD's, based on how many tracks there are and how long they are and everything.
-
Is that just one game's soundtrack? Or is it like the whole series?
-
Ah, I see, you're missing an R, that looks like a pastry. Must have been confiscated by "arse". ;-)
-
Does "pasty" mean something other than the nipple covers that strippers use?
-
It's not really even a collectors bonus. None of the games I listed as "to get you started" are CE editions. I know, I was talking about when they include an actual CD of the game soundtrack, not just when the files are accessible on your computer.
-
It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape.
-
Yeah, I love it when games include the sound track as a collector's edition bonus. That is definitely the kind of stuff that's truly bonus material, along with artbooks, character's notebooks, etc.

Wow, Shane Satterfield is completely retarded. In this video about AC3 he says "The Templars are in this game, and the irony here is that the Templars think they're helping the world. And apparently this theme was supposed to carry on in all the Assassin's Creed games, I never really got that from the other games, that they actually felt like they were doing right. Uh, but they said that would be a lot more prevalent in this game." Fuckin seriously? You didn't pick up on that? l2story comprehension.
-
Lol, I did merge it. Maybe we did it at the same time?
-
It's the first-person block puzzles.
-
Yeah, this is where I am. I want to know what happens with the story, but I don't actually care about any of the people.
-
Is anyone opposed to me merging this into the general Assassin's Creed thread? Merged.
-
Yeah, I'll agree it seems like kind of a shitty retcon.
-
Yeah, originally the only reason for the modern day setting and the animus is that the lead designer was retarded and felt obligated to explain away the video game elements like the HUD, so he came up with the animus, which is why you don't have the HUD and stuff in the modern day segments. Since then, however, I've become interested in the modern day plot, but I think overall the series could potentially have been cooler without that being shoehorned in at the beginning. *Edit* - It would be like a movie maker making a film a faux documentary because he felt obligated to explain away the lens flare rather than because artistically that's how he wanted the movie to be.
-
This was already my plan. I'll probably catch the ending on youtube. The ending of the DLC isn't really anything at all, all the plot development is scattered throughout the levels.
-
I'm sure it will be covered in the beginning of AC3 too for people who didn't play the DLC. The DLC centers around Subject 16, and that's just one of the things that are revealed about him. I'm sure he'll tell this stuff to Desmond, this just shows how 16 learned it.
-
Yeah, though there's a little more to it than that link implies.
-
I know you don't like paid DLC, but the Lost Archive DLC expands on some of that stuff. It's more of the first-person levels though, so if you didn't like those or just don't want to buy it you might be better off reading a synopsis. @Dean: bump up the priority of 3D Dot Game Heroes, that game was great!
-
I like Desmond and the modern-day plot, but I think there are a lot of people who don't. I was actually hoping AC3 would be set in modern times.
-
Yeah, the problem is in figuring out whether you're paying extra for the curly fries on the side or for the ketchup on the burger. I think most people agree that they don't want to pay extra for the ketchup, just not on whether that's what's happening or not.
