Doesn't the lack of fog kind of ruin the entire game in Silent Hill? I would think that would be kind of an important inclusion.

There are a couple of different things that affect that, but I use the automatic volume leveling on Moderate.

With HIB you do decide exactly where your money goes, but you do it in terms of a percentage of your payment. So you put $5 in the payment slot, and then you choose how much of a percentage you want to go to each thing. That's what dean meant when he said it was a percentage, but it's not really the same thing as 1 penny from every dollar because each customer gets to decide whether or not they want to donate and how much. It's not meaningfully different from just having you put a dollar amount in each box.

I agree that expansions are better, but even back in the day most games never got expansions.

I don't think this is necessarily true. It could easily be worthwhile content, but not enough to make you pick back up a huge RPG just to do a new side quest chain when there are other, brand-new games you're interested in playing. But that's exactly my point. If it were more than a lousy sidequest chain you'd probably bother to go back and pick up the game. But I'm saying it applies even to well-done stuff. I don't think there's anything wrong with doing small add-ons as long as they're done well, but the farther you are from release the less likely people are going to be to go back to it for small add-ons so you need to get it out early in the life-cycle.

Season 8 is the best one. IIRC Season 13's really good too.
