  1. Yep, figured as much when I got my Season 4 Blu-ray. There was an insert for Archer Vice, so I'm thinking there's drugs. For those who haven't watch yet, it's one hell of a drug at one hell of an amount.
  2. http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/01/13/tomb-raider-definitive-edition-ps4ps3-comparison-and-analysis Graphical Comparison with Executive Producer Scot Amos Basically goes over what changes were made and how it's all different from the original. I can see the obvious need of higher resolution texture, and implementing better particle effects. The lighting is what we're seeing making the color difference, but some of the lighting is definitely impressive. Not that I would buy the game again, even if I had a PS4. If you're on a budget, I would still go with the 360/PS3 version. If you have a PS4 or Xbone, need something to play, and haven't played Tomb Raider, go ahead! EDIT: For some reason I can't get the URL formatting to work with a title.
  3. If you had to choose, DayZ or Rust? Both Early Access alphas focused on survival, with zombies and a majority of KOS players.

They'll come. As of right now some of the zombies are bugged in which they can see you from a mile away and go through doors and walls. So for now their numbers are reduced. Since the engine is modified for DayZ, I'm sure it'll be worked out unlike in the mod.

      Omniscient ghost zombies.

Anyway, for some reason I find Rust more appealing, though I don't plan on getting either anytime soon.

I just saw a thing on RPS yesterday for The Forest, which also looks interesting (though is singleplayer).

  4. Halfway through Season 4 of Archer. That first episode opening: p cool. Also, will I find out what happened to, like, half the staff? Krieger mentioned Malroy killed the Hobbit guy.

Ah, see I think that episode is out of order cos he dies later on. Also the background staff level massively fluctuates throughout the show, I think just down to animation time.

  5. My favorite is at 1:34 when the guy seems aware why, but instantly shocked when the command prompt appears.
  6. Dafuq CP, you would play all of Skyrim again because it would be on PS4?

  8. Throwing this out there, but I've never liked this show. The first episode had the signs of a formulaic action series that never fulfilled its true potential. I gave it a few episodes, but I would be bored half-way into the episode. I'll immensely agree to Coulson being better suited as a supporting character because having all that attention and constant "I'm slick" attitude became overbearing to watch.
  9. I doubt it's on Netflix right now, but thanks for reminding of Season 4 on Blu-ray. I only caught two episodes of it, but recently I watched all of Season 1 - 3.
  10. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/01/gallery-the-13-steam-machines-and-all-of-their-glorious-variety/ So we can have a compiled list of the 13 official Steam Machines. CES photographs, promo shots, and a spec sheet. Not every item is listed for some of the Steam Machines, but it gives you an idea of where and to whom the manufacturer was aiming toward. Some of the specs give me the impression of a near comparable PC as the one I built, but a few are offering a 1TB SSHD, and honestly that's pretty nice. Just I wonder if they skimped on other components to bring the price down.
  11. I was thinking $10/month too. That's $120 a year, then you have $50 for PS+. I've already built up some PS+ and I'm sure most everyone here did during the Black Friday sale. So in the end you'd be paying quite a bit adding it all up, but a monthly approach makes it manageable. Doubt we might have any POS (Point of Sale) yearly plans as this has to be costing Sony more than the multiplayer for PS4, and such a high initial cost would put off users. I'm sure the library will start out with just Sony classics, and over time we get more exclusives and possible third party titles. Thing is, even just the third party titles for download on PSN isn't that large, and that's excluding HD remakes. Maybe there will be more focus on obtaining rights though as this is something completely different. I mean, PS classics are great, but any diehard Sony fan probably has the majority of them and has kept the older systems to play them on.
  12. Only badge I've forged is the Winter Sale one. Honestly, I should get on selling the game ones I have. Friend told me you get half the cards for a game, so the intent is to trade and/or buy the rest for the badge.
  13. First Impression: WTF? I can see some of the appeal, but your entire PC would be dedicated to Razer's components offered in those slabs. Definitely does come off as an easy solution to building, but there's absolutely no way it will be cheap. Part of me likes the concept, but the other part knows people could spend their money more wisely on traditional components. There will always be consumers that will pay for ease though, and Razer does intend on offering a range of different components to customize your machine. http://www.razerzone.com/christine EDIT: Any moderator want to fix my typo in the title?

I'll only turn off my desktop if I'm going to have it inactive for a long time. If I was on it every day, it would be on Sleep most of the time. Currently use my Chromebook for browsing, i.e. right now.
  15. Which reminds me, what would control games for these new Bravia TV models? Compatibility with a DualShock 4, or maybe a 3 still? Wonder if they would come with one, though I imagine it might be something Sony assumes the majority of users will have access to already.
  16. Eh, personally I've never gotten the appeal to streaming games. For rentals, it would be cool, but I wouldn't get my hopes up yet. If you truly utilize handheld gaming with the Vita, this does appear to be a great service as the Vita should be able to handle a vast library of older games. I'm more concerned about the execution of it. Media sources putting out the "no longer needing a PS3" rubs me in a very wrong way. I wouldn't go that far because this would still be a subscription/rental service, and who's to say what PS3 games will work 100% on your PS4. Hesitant and skeptical is all, though if they include this service with PS+, I'd be happy. Highly doubtful of that as this seems it would be a new slew of costs and upkeep on Sony's end. I don't see myself excited if this would be a monthly subscription, but again this does offer rentals and that's something I feel that Sony and Microsoft have been capable of doing themselves for a while.
  17. The first one looks like someone took the case of an obscure 90's console and the green is because they only glued a glow stick to it.
  18. Currently going through Metro 2033. Got it back when it was given out for free when you "Liked" Metro Last Light on Facebook. At the time I only had my laptop, but now I have my desktop that can handle it no problem. Only fix I had to do was for screen tearing, which can range from bad (during gameplay) to terrible (during in-game cutscenes).
  19. Speaking of, does anyone have a steering wheel controller? For the longest time I haven't played any racing games aside from Mario Kart and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I think my last one was Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 back on the GameCube. I remember steering wheels being niche, but at the same time overpriced for their performance. However, I've been hearing that modern steering wheels have changed for the better, though I imagine its still niche for the average gamer.
  20. Didn't assume everyone was an elitist. For the most part it comes down to preference, and I wouldn't care if anyone scoffed at me for using a controller for something like Skyrim or whatever else. If someone was going to go off on a console in an elitist nature, but simultaneously using its controller for his "superior machine," that to me is being hypocritical because without that console, you wouldn't have that controller for your platform.
  21. What if I told you I had a roommate, a friend, and someone that might qualify as an acquaintance say near the same phrase? Truth is anyone who wants to smoke will find it, sometimes very easily, but others hold back because of the illegal status.
  22. Its been over a year, and I've got a question: What controller do you use now for your PC? Scanning the standard subreddits today, there's a picture-perfect example of a circlejerk on r/gaming. It's far from anything new, or surprising, or interesting, other than it got me thinking about what controllers PC gamers use. Momentarily I wanted to call out any hypocrisy among the elitists, that is if they were in fact using a console's controller. If they wanted to keep denouncing a console, you'd think they'd abstain from the input device of that console. Of course, there are other controllers/pads out there too. I'm only aware of the Logitech gamepads, and Logitech has been embracing gaming products more. I'm not sure where their headsets and other devices stand against other brands like Corsair, Cooler Master, Steelseries, and Microsoft. Anyway, for myself I have a wired 360 controller. Brother-in-law had it originally for the 360 he and my sister share (but rarely use). For my birthday I asked for it, and while he was hesitant, eventually he gave it. Later on I gifted him the standard wireless 360 controller for a previous Christmas. Never thought to look at Logitech because the only one I ever saw in stores looked MadCatz-level cheap.
  23. I have 50 Steam games now. I went a little crazy, but honestly these sales have been the few times I'm buying PC games.

  24. I'm thinking we're neck-and-neck in that regard. Certain breads will be buttered in the US, but typically the only sandwiches that's been true are for burgers. There's condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and a few others that make a sandwich far from dry or rough. Otherwise you're having to rely on drinking something to wash it down.
