  1. I was reading up on that and I read there's also an option where Clem...
  2. Is anyone going to discuss S2E2? I got around to playing it tonight (waited so I could finish in one sitting) and damn does the game always give you a case of the feels.
  3. Actually, a few days ago I got this game because it's been $24 for a long time. Still have other games to finish up first before I dive into this one, but its Platinum. IT'S GONNA BE GOOD.
  4. Today I learned what "dogfooding" is, as in an internal test build for the YouTube Android app was released to public.

I first heard of dogfood in that sense either with the Nexus One or the whole iPhone 4 debacle.

Yahoo is quite famous for not dogfooding.

  5. So after playing it for a couple of hours yesterday, these are my impressions. It's a very addictive multiplayer experience that benefits in being to the point before and during a match. I kind of find it funny how just the multiplayer is called "Classic" when really even in the Campaign all you're doing is playing multiplayer. I'm not a fan of unlocking what I would consider more "basic" gear, but once you're up a few levels, you should be able to hold your own fine. Yeah, maybe you're not in your preferred layout, but you should still be able to kick butt. Speaking of, the Grunts and Spectre bots are a bit derpy. Don't fully underestimate them as its still possible to be killed by them, but they really serve more as cannon fodder for your weapons. Thing is, it's during these enemies that you'll probably learn more about the combat. It's a bit deeper than you might realize, like how you can hack enemy Spectre to fight for you, or the different tactics Titans can serve on the field. I actually killed an enemy Titan with my Titan drop! I'm definitely going to play more tonight, but how many of you guys actually have the game now? I've noticed barely no one speaks in the lobby or in-game. Of all the matches I had, I had two people talk: mic static from one, and a "Ha" from another.
  6. I decided to be an odd duck and pre-ordered a physical PC copy. Came with three DVDs, and even if they're all dual-layered, I don't think I'm going to have 49GB of data installed. As I type I'm on the second disc right around 89% installation, so even if Origin told me I was going to have that much data, I'm going to check how much I actually have installed afterward. EDIT: Well shit... The game itself was installed, but Origin initiated the "Titanfall Audio Installer." I feared this because as I was waiting, I read from people online saying that even if you removed the audio files, Origin would update the game and install the audio once more. Update: It updated the game and UNPACKED THE AUDIO A SECOND TIME.
  7. Winning eBay auctions is nice, but sometimes your true opponent is the seller.

  8. PS3 covers are changing to match the new blue theme across PlayStation products.
  9. I'll put this here, as there's really no need to bring up a Punch-Out!! thread. So I got my "Like New" copy of Punch-Out!! for the Wii today. Played through it and stopped in the middle of the World Circuit. It feels like a short game, but I know there's more to it and it'll become harder. Definitely was, and can be still, a great game for a $20-$30 cost. It's just a game versus other video games today that build plots and can bog you down with frivolous nonsense. Now I doubt it'll be highly memorable in the end, but it's enjoyable and I regret not having played it soon.
  10. It reminds me of the Gigawatt Blades for the first InFamous. Originally it was a pre-order exclusive move only, but half a year later they became a free download.
  11. What do you guys think of the Cole's Legacy DLC? I mean, how supposedly it'll only come in the Limited and Collector's Editions and "won't be available anywhere, ever!" With all the spending I've done over vacation and getting some older games, I guess I could have had a PS4 by now. I don't see why such exclusive content would have to exist when talking about an anticipated title of a well-received series. Second Son is probably one of the Top 5 games people bought a PS4 for, so you know its going to sell for most anyone with a PS4.
  12. Bayonetta, because I've been meaning to play it. Punch-Out!! on Wii, because I should have played this before it became out-of-print. Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand, because I always wanted to play it ever since I gazed upon it.
  13. With all the new and old games I'll be getting, I honestly think I'll pass on RE4 on PC. It's definitely in my Top 5 All-Time Favorites, having played the games over 20-something times with the GCN and Wii versions. Getting it again hasn't been a priority, even with the enhancements.
  14. It's a good deal, even from a casual Pokefan viewpoint. Just I don't see many people going for the deal, because while awesome, it's because it's quite specific. The most you could get out of it is creating some new Pokemon fans with their recent 3DS purchase. Said people probably got one of the iconic 3DS games and now have the opportunity of a free game. Even if it doesn't quite interest them, "free" is the best entry fee into a series.
  15. I'm having that feeling of regret for not purchasing Punch-Out!! a few years ago when I saw it on Clearance. Even the Nintendo Selects version of it is out of print. After watching it through the Grumps, it looks good for what would have been $20 in 2011 (and not the $50 in 2009). I'm holding out until Tuesday when I can get back home where some stores I know usually have ancient copies left over.
  16. We're in Democracy right now. It seems slow, but honestly I think we'll actually see more progress now.
  17. I've jumped into the fray, mainly because while visiting family I'm a little bored.
  18. I couldn't remember where the Team Rocket HQ portion was in the game. Sometimes I miss my copies of Red and Blue, though I doubt normally I would go back to playing Gen 1 all over.
  19. I actually got around to Link Between Worlds. It's fun enough to play, but nothing memorable yet.

  20. I'll explain, lest I fall prey to insurmountable wrath. I haven't been paying too much attention to the game, so from what I understood I saw the Titans as special vehicles that everyone would eventually pilot. That's true still, but the Titan is more like another personal weapon with a cooldown. No matter what, you'll wait two minutes and you can call in your selected Titan from earlier. Thing is, you don't necessarily have to wait that two minutes if you can kill a couple of bots. The better you play, the more Titans you can potentially drop. It all comes down to preference then, to drop now or wait, and a few matches I played practically my entire team were roaming around in their Titan at the same time. It was cool, though I felt bad for the other team because it was slaughter if any of them thought having a Titan could handle four of us. Like, four Titans can make a new Titan explode in around three seconds. You're better off on ground with rodeo attacks and a good Anti-Titan weapon. You're not in God Mode in a Titan, though some of the abilities can be deadly if you team up with other Titans. TL;DR Tiiiiiii-taaaaaaaan Faaaaaaaall! Gotta drop'em all! TITANFALL! So, while I'm still posting: Thoughts on the AI?
  21. I know of it, but I haven't been paying enough attention to understand all the jokes/memes centered around it, except for "The Helix" because I heard that Red was stuck in front of the Helix fossil for a long time (for some reason).
  22. I didn't get much time to play the beta, but I did get in enough time to get use to the game. The only thing that bugs me is the above and how seemingly easy it is to gain multiple Titans in a match.
  23. Never finished this level I put in, like, six hours. It was focused on all the MGS4 content released, but things kept falling apart near the end.
  24. The LEGO Movie. Man, the movie is way better than I expected it to be. The twist was heart warming and the ending was absolutely perfect. I can not stress how the block animation is amazing, but also there are moments that are real-time LEGO. It's a great all around story that doesn't go into anything morally deep or complex other than the relationships that we form and what makes us... us.
