  1. Go to store, ready to buy Vita. "Uh, what?" Repeat name of device. "Oh, wait yeah. We haven't carried those in months."

Walmart at least lets you check if it's available in a specific store from the website. It's super convenient.

Is it maybe while they're transitioning from the old OLED to the new LCD version? Is the new sort out yet?

That's what I suspect, though for Sony to have pulled the Vita from any store months in advance seems ridiculous. I guess they did have their PS4 gravy train to support them.

  2. After suffering as a kid, I managed on my own to tone it down to "average" compulsion. It doesn't help when my current job encourages nitpicking of small things.
  3. Both movies are good, but also have sequels that I'm not overly fond of seeing in theaters anytime soon.
  4. The one moment I played over, because I wondered if it could play out different, was...
  5. I was hoping for a dialogue afterwards so I could explain to...
  6. I'm with you Ethan.
  7. I've never minded the Zero Suit, namely because a powerful and confident woman can wear something form-fitting. The issue the naysayers will blame the Zero Suit on is that it gives artists the opportunity to alter Samus's figure. In all the Prime games, I've never seen her as "sexualized" but just a regular woman. Though, there's a fanbase that believes Samus should be ripped like an Amazonian. Now, Other M is... I never finished and haven't been inclined to finish. Not because of the aesthetics, but it doesn't play like Metroid. Zero Suit Samus wasn't an issue, but the above has got me thinking it over. It's technically not Metroid, but Super Smash Bros., but those proportions! Sakurai may have given her rocket heels to compensate her upper body mass!
  8. So The Wolf Among Us: Episode 3 kinda came out nowhere. I guess I know what I'm playing tomorrow.

      They announced it last week.

I'm not gonna buy it till this summer during the sale at the earliest. I'm waiting till 4/5ths of the episodes are out.

I think that's smart, W&S. The episodes are a good length, but it is kinda frustrating not being able to play the next episode for two months.

  9. So first off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgmC56ndgeg The poster child of the Generation 1 starters and the most "fighter" capable of the Generation 6 starters are playable. No more Pokemon Trainer to bring Charizard down! Speaking of, there are no more transformations. This basically means that Zero Suit Samus and Sheik are now their own separate characters. This is excellent because now the characters will have a full move list and gone is the button combination to select either of them from the start, ala Brawl. For all the Yoshi fans, he's back too. For the 3DS version, there's a Multiplayer Mode called "Smash Run." It sounds like a treasure-hunt type of multiplayer where players will compete for stat boosts and so forth for eventual battles between fellow competitors. There have been older games that had such a multiplayer "mode" to them, though I'm a bit skeptical on how well this mode could play out for Smash Bros. Otherwise, the gist of online multiplayer for both the 3DS and Wii U versions comes down to two distinct forms. With friends, you'll decide what modes and what rules you'll make for items and level. Basically, online should be similar to local with playing with friends. Against "others," you'll have two different modes: For Fun or For Glory. To the point, "For Fun" is basically typical Smash Bros whereas "For Glory" is "No Items, Fox Only, Final Destination," but technically you'll pick whatever character you want (like Marth) and levels will have a "Final Destination" layout instead of their usual form. EDIT: If I had to take a wild guess why the 3DS version is this summer and the Wii U game will be in winter, I'd venture to say that the Wii U version would overshadow the handheld game. If I had to pick one, it'd be the home console game. If there's going to be months between now, I'll probably try out the handheld version. But there's also a lot more too (i.e. Move Lists) if you didn't want the short-n-sweet of it.
  10. Saw Captain America: Winter Soldier It's really great, though I'm not sure I would put it above or below the first. I feel like some of its strong points rely on the first film, and the "antagonist" of this film isn't as prominent so it doesn't quite compare to Red Skull and Hydra.
  11. The parody has been so popular that all last week other YouTubers have made their own parodies. Just a few of my favorites.
  12. I get to listen to radio for 10 minutes to and from work, so I usually hear current pop or classic rock between three different radio stations. Imagine my face when I hear this blast to the past. Seriously didn't expect anyone at the stations to pull out a early 90's "new jack swing" track. Fun Fact: Pharrell Williams wrote a verse for Rump Shaker. Sometimes I forget the guy is about to turn 41.
  13. After my tax refund, I seriously might be looking at a Vita now. No joke TCP, though I feel a bit backwards as I've wanted a PS4, but I was always aiming around summer for that device.

True, and I'll know my answer by the end of the week. Had an interview recently, and etc.

I'm the opposite of TCP, I'd say the Vita is the ultimate PS4 accessory. Unless you game on the go a lot, I'd get the PS4 first.

Ethan knows whats up. Vita has a bigger library of fantastic games out right now obviously since the PS4 just launched with its most prominent game being Infamous SS. But games will start to pour out coming fall.

  14. Went ahead and bought a PS Vita. Conception II twisted my arm and I have it pre-ordered.

      APRIL FOOLS! HA... HA... HA!

Sorry, but I honestly would get a Vita for the game. I know it's on 3DS, but seems more at home with the Vita.

      ATOMSK88 IS DEAD TO ME.

  15. I never died. Though I heard there's audio or cutscenes?
  16. Who else downloaded, played, and finished Burial at Sea Episode 2? I'm not quite sure how to feel. Not in an emotional sense, just in a narrative and fan of BioShock in general. I'm always a sucker for "behind the scenes" content in games, and this DLC definitely has it. Just, you're going to get messy when you apply a new narrative and paste it to an established one to fuse canon. The issues people had with Infinite basically come back to Episode 2 if I had to put it simply. On a technical level, it makes sense.
  17. I thought there were folk here wanting The Last of Us on PS4. Well, today it was announced it would be coming to PS4. Can't say I would buy it again, as much as I loved it.

Apparently Sony is going back on the announcement. Either theyre lying or the guy who announced it was wrong. Im not getting excited yet. Seems like Ill be disappointed. Its known by now that theyre using TLoU to launch their streaming program.

      TheMightyEthan

Source? The only thing I've seen is Sony saying "At no time have we announced that The Last of Us is coming to PS4 and therefore, have nothing to say on the subject." That's not a denial, that's a no comment.

  18. I got Attack on Titan Volumes 2 - 4. I signed up for Loot Crate when they teased their Titan theme for March, and while the box itself was a bit underwhelming, I got Attack on Titan Vol. 1 with it. Now I'm set on getting all the available volumes as I've only caught a few segments of the manga series and haven't watched the anime in a long time.
  19. Stop with the Second Son commercials! I don't have a PS4 yet, you cruel televised temptress!

Hey, if Ethan can get himself a Wii U, PS4, and Xbone, you can treat yourself to a PS4!

  20. Ethan, I dug deep for these. I mean, ancient burial ground of ol' reaction pics. I mean my old Photobucket account... (I actually despise Tenchi GXP, so you must know how much this means that I would dig that last out from the grave.) EDIT: But if you'd like, I can give you my code to the Prima-Amazon mini guide I supposedly got for pre-ordering Titanfall.
  21. Scrolling Facebook, I see my uncle likes some random page, but the featured post says "I'd blow her ocarina" with a Saria cosplayer picture. For a moment I thought my uncle was perv'in on a video game character from my favorite game.

  22. I've never been motivated to be "my own boss," but today I realized I'm starting to become more surrounded by lunatics. Time to update that resume once again!

I'm there as well. I've never felt so offended as to be offered a pay cut for taking on the role of being the entire department after my boss quit.

I'm getting there, too. Time for another change of scenery.

  23. Sony's Prototype to Virtual Reality Not much else to discuss other than "it's happening now." I mean, there have always been the rumors that Sony has been wanting to do VR, and now it's here after all those years. It's suppose to seamlessly function with all the PS4 accessories for a more immerse experience. You know, I'm still not sure where I stand on the VR stuff. It's definitely something I'd have to try first for myself before nearing the excitement levels others have for Oculus Rift and now "Morpheus."
  24. Speak of, when I watched it a month ago, and this is coming from someone who hasn't read the books...
  25. Speaking of time and value, at GDC there was a talk on completion rates in story-driven games. Games where you'd assume a majority of people would stick through to the bare minimum of simple completion. Most of the games listed, like BioShock Infinite and Mass Effect were a little below 50%! I know I have games where when I payed only a little, I'm more likely to forget finishing it. Thing is, these were AAA titles that you can only assume people payed either full or closely to full retail to end up half-finished. I'll get Ground Zeroes when I have a PS4, probably this summer, as I would like everything "MGSV" on one platform. It may very well still be at the $30 price, but as FLD said, it's a premium of sorts to play a highly anticipated AAA sort of game. Besides, it'll give me some time to finish up some other games and maybe get to Peace Walker too.
